I put my left hand into the wave to slow down...

Photographed in October 2007 on the US Lost website, Chris Ward's surf clip has been released. It's California, with a straight, well-maintained offshore beach and up-swell. The main surfers are Chris Ward, but also Brad Ettinger, Matt King, Ryan Carlson, Shaun Okfist and Pat Towersey. Chris is really good at backside tubing! Immediately after taking off, he dips his left hand into the wave to slow down and get neatly wrapped up in the barrel!

Christian is also parabolic!

Christian, I'm riding a parabolic. That is a natural thing to say, This is the same photo that was used in a Luker advertisement in US Surfing magazine. In reality, the board has the Lost logo on it, but Luker ran an ad in the US offering to remove the Lost logo using Photoshop. Here is a photo of the Luker advertisement. If you were going to delete it, I think it would have been better not to post it. What's more, Christian also seems to like the parabolic one!

Will Gokin come to Japan this year?

Gokin will soon be heading off to Australia for a contest and filming. Such a Gokin has been created recently, He seems to really like riding the RNFQ. Previously, I introduced the Nemo airbrush design board. I ride it a lot, both for filming and for personal use. This is a new type with a narrower nose and is for intermediate and advanced RNFQ riders. If you haven't tried out the short and wide boards or Lost's signature RNFQ yet, Give it a try. It depends on how you choose your surfboard. Will Gokin come to Japan this year?

I really caught it, so please take a look.

A DVD of Nishii's Mentawai trip, which he covered last year, has been released. It was released by Surf First magazine on February 1st. Nishii appears on the DVD included with the March 2008 issue. I'm also in charge of the story, so please check it out. This is a remake of 24'S Endless Johnny, which is posted on this site. The fish that Nishii catches at the beginning of the DVD is a Spanish mackerel. Why in that scene? He shouted, "I think I caught it!" I really caught it, so please take a look. I had it as sashimi and it was delicious.

First public release? Unreleased? This is the new fin base from FCS.

This is the new fin base from FCS. You can now use FCS' new fin bases when building boards with EPS foam. When EPS foam is glass coated with epoxy resin, The outer epoxy resin is strong, but the EPS foam inside is weak. If you attach the previous plug directly, you will need to reinforce the strength of the fin cup. FCS could not be used, but unlike previous models, the base has been improved and it can now be embedded directly. It's a perfect match for making EPS parabolic stringer boards!

AUROLA/Conquest FIN coming soon

I went surfing with Mayhem first thing in the morning. With a carrier attached to the back of his mountain bike, he can quickly cover the long distances of the trestle. Mayhem's home is in an upscale residential area next to the trestle. This is Mayhem's surfboard rack at home. When a shaper surfs, he always tries to improve the performance of the surfboard. I'm riding while testing. The conversation in the sea was, "This is how it's moving now," Mayhem is very enthusiastic about research, and will consider things like, "What if we did this board like this?" or, "This was better in the previous design, but this is better in the current one." Mayhem was testing the RNF-Q with Mayhem fins. Nishii attached the Conquest fins released by AUROLA to the CL-PRO, I tested it, This fin really matches any board, moves quickly, and turns longer, The overall balance is excellent. It really works amazingly well on any board. Breaking news!! The AUROLA/Conquest FIN will be available soon! The price you are interested in is, AUROLA/Conquest TRI set 14,800+TAX AUROLA/Conquest QUAD set 18,800+TAX AUROLA/Conquest BACK TWO 9,500+TAX AUROLA/Conquest CENTER FIN 4,800+TAX There are three color designs available. The templets are the same, but there are two patterns: this zebra pattern and blue stripe pattern. And there is another pattern that has not yet been released. Please look forward to it. I'm going to get on a plane and head back to Japan.

Sunny transforms into a smiling face with RNF.

Today the waves finally settled down. This is the Lower Trestle at about 8am. Maybe it was because of the cold wind or the cold water temperature, but for some reason no one was surfing. Mayhem came back from snowboarding yesterday and seemed busy after the ASR show. Mayhem wasn't there yesterday, so everyone bombarded me with questions. It finally warmed up in the afternoon, so we headed up to the upper reaches to surf. Sunny was found. I was taking pictures. It's been a while since we last saw Sunny, so we took a commemorative photo. This is that wave. The rider is Sunny Garcia. It's out of focus, but take a look. After that, Sunny was surfing at his friend AVISO RNF, who had come with him. This board seemed to be in better condition than my own, and he had been surfing with a scary look on his face just a moment ago. I was smiling and riding the AVISO RNF. RNF is a board that even makes Sunny smile. This is a space reserved for locals. Visitors are not permitted to use this facility. This is also a local.
