Learn moreCheck out the hotly talked about "SUB-DRIVER-JP" design!
Check out the board shape design of the "SUB-DRIVER-JP" model, which has been featured continuously and is currently a hot topic, on the AKU software screen. I don't usually make these public, but I'd like to show you the surfboard design screen from the AKU machine that I saved while developing the "SUB-DRIVER-JP" model with Mayhem. This is the outline of the board. You can see that there is a gentle bump wing on the tail within the line from the widest point to the tail end on the top rail side of the screen. If you slice the first 12 inches off the nose, you get this shape. Look at the curve of the bottom. There's an entry concave where the water first flows in when you start paddling or riding. The shape is a slice of the widest part of the board. You can clearly see the unique Mayhem design's concave curve, which uses the entire bottom surface. You can also see the rail shape, which is slightly thinner than the original "sub-driver" model that inspired it. The deck center is the thickest part, and the dome-shaped deck shape curves roundly toward the rail edge. If you slice it 12 inches from the tail end, it will look like this. The volume of the tail rail becomes thinner and the edges become sharper! Please take a look at the "SUB-DRIVER-JP" locker. The bottom line is the rocker line, which is the most important part of a surfboard and determines its speed performance. Mayhem is particular about which part of the line from the tip of the nose to the end of the tail will lift up. Mayhem has incorporated a delightful design into the SUB-DRIVER-JP: a bottom rocker design that widens the sweet spot of the front stance to allow Japanese riders to have gentler control. If I explain in too much detail, other shapers will copy it like the Quest series, so I'll leave it at that. Learn more"MAYHEM" New Japan Limited Model Mark and Recommended Size Revealed!
MAYHEM is also knowledgeable about airplanes, and while he was designing the new Japan-exclusive model, he happened to go to an airplane show, which he loves. At the airplane show, I saw for the first time Japan's original Zero fighter plane, the only one still standing in the United States that is miraculously still able to fly, flying right in front of me, making a strange noise that was completely different from the sounds of other airplanes.I was moved by the unique sound of its engine and propeller. I suggested using a Zero fighter as the mark for "SUB DRIVER-JP", and this is the mark that was created! If you're looking to ride a high-performance tri-fin squash tail model like the ones you rode when you were younger, but out of all the LOST surfboard models, you think the SUB-DRIVER model has the most buoyancy and feels great, or you're worried about whether you'll actually be able to ride it because it doesn't seem to have enough buoyancy, then Love Surf and Mayhem can confidently recommend the SUB DRIVER-JP model! This model is also perfect for RIPQUEST and POWERQUEST users looking to move on to the next level! It's easier to get initial speed than the SUB-DRIVER, and it's custom tuned so that even Sunday surfers can handle it! The rails are designed to be slightly thinner to make it easier to turn around on the rails even in onshore conditions and to prevent them from getting caught, improving maneuverability! You can choose from these three recommended sizes. [SUB-DRIVER-JP model size lineup/appropriate weight] 5'10" x 19 1/4" x 2 3/8" (178 x 48.9 x 6.0 cm) 65-73kg 28.6cl 5'11" x 19 1/2" x 2 7/16" (180 x 49.5 x 6.2 cm) 70~78kg 30.1cl 6'0" x 19 3/4" x 2 1/2" (183 x 50.1 x 6.35cm) 75~83kg 31.6cl Price is ■ POLYESTER Carbon Tail Patch ¥136,500 ■ XTR 3D CARBOLIC ¥183,750 Stock boards made from these two materials are now in stock!!! The stock boards that will be arriving will be POWER BASE FIN specifications, so there will be an additional ¥5,250 on top of the above price. Designed for Japanese intermediate surfers who can only surf on weekends, this board is perfect for the waves in Japan. The ultimate easy performance model is the "SUB DRIVER-JP". We will be releasing a special page for the "SUB DRIVER-JP" model soon, and we plan to introduce the stock board to everyone by the end of this month, so please look forward to it. Of course, reservations are also accepted, so please apply by phone or via the form below. http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/contact/contact.php
Learn moreRIPQUEST, POWERQUEST, which model do you recommend next?
What model should I ride after RIPQUEST or POWERQUEST? We have been hearing this kind of feedback from many customers recently, so we approached Mayhem to create a model that would meet these requests. Mayhem took the time to carefully design and shape the board, imagining that it would be ridden by Japanese surfers in their 30s and 40s, who are intermediate or above, which is the age range they are comfortable with. The test board for this "Japan-exclusive LOST new model" was created by Paul from Ghetto House, a lamination expert in San Clemente. Chucky is the general-level test rider. I posted a photo of Chucky riding this board in a previous blog post, so I'm sure some of you were curious about the model. Chris Ward will be the PRO level test rider. Yes, this is the board. Look closely at the outline, it's a little wide! This is a new tri-fin model with a buoyant squash tail designed by MAYHEM for Japanese users, based on the hit model ``SUB-DRIVER'' from 2011-12. ★The yellow line is the ``SUB-DRIVER'' and the black line is the ``Japan-exclusive LOST new model.'' The rocker on the nose has also been lowered like this to improve paddling performance. ★The yellow line is the ``SUB-DRIVER'' and the black line is the ``Japan-exclusive LOST new model.'' The tail width is also wide, making it easier to pick up speed and ride gently. Chucky said he wanted the exact same 5'10" board he test rode, Since this is a Japan-only model, you can't buy this "Japan-only LOST new model" in other countries. I fell in love with it after a test ride, so I gave him special permission and he immediately placed a custom order. Chucky said that due to his weight gain, his SUB-DRIVER was no longer providing enough buoyancy. This photo shows Chucky riding the new Japan-exclusive LOST model. The recommended board size was decided by Mayhem, who recommended and tested the "Japan Limited LOST New Model" and The model name and mark will be announced on tomorrow's blog. The model name and mark design are both cool, so Please look forward to tomorrow's blog!!
Learn moreUnreleased photos of people riding the lost MAYHEM board
Today we'll be showing you a bunch of photos of people riding the unreleased Lost MAYHEM board. The group included ordinary people whose names Nishii didn't know that he had seen at the CA, as well as female surfers, top amateurs, and professionals. Now, please take a look at the photos of about 40 people. How was it? There are many squat tail tri-fin models that are gradually becoming popular in Japan. The current situation is that many flight attendants are tired of the mini board, mini Simmons, and retro fish board boom of the past few years. Indeed, the proportion of high-performance, tri-fin models with squat tails, such as the SUB-DRIVER and F1-STUB, among the custom order boards Love Surf accepts from all over the country has increased dramatically compared to two or three years ago. For those of you with a long history of surfing who started surfing with a Skuttail tri-fin model over 20 years ago! Why not try riding a cool, sculpted performance tri-fin model again? But if you think that a thin board is not possible, take note. MAYHEM will soon be releasing a new tri-fin model with a buoyant squat tail, designed for Japanese users based on that popular model!!! Stay tuned!
Learn moreI was writing on my blog every day and then Surfing Life magazine came to interview me.
Love Surf is the first to feature this on LOST surfboard stockboards. I've been writing about the POWER BASE fin system on my blog every day, and Surfing Life magazine came to interview us. It is attracting attention as a new "removable fin" There are still very few Japanese manufacturers that have started selling it, This is sure to increase in the future. Writer Kuribayashi and photographer Kojima also took their time to look at the exhibits. It will be listed on sale on July 10th. Why I recommend it *Very resistant to fin contact accidents. *It has an excellent sense of unity with the board, allowing you to further enhance the board's performance. *The fins can be moved back and forth, allowing you to fine-tune the movement of the board. Below are some past articles about the POWER BASE fin system. If you haven't seen it yet, please check it out. ■How to adjust the fin position of the ``POWER BASE system.'' http://luvsurf.co.jp/24sblog/?p=13683 ■Please watch the video demonstrating the strength of the ``POWER BASE'' fin system! http://luvsurf.co.jp/24sblog/?p=13709 Learn more about the new Powerbase FIN system. http://luvsurf.co.jp/24sblog/?p=12533 ■LOST is the first to stock the POWER BASE fin system! http://luvsurf.co.jp/24sblog/?p=1252 3 ■Riding video of Nishii's "POWER BASE System" http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/movie/2413_placebo_fishquest2.html Equipped with the latest Power Base FIN system, you can use your existing FCS fins. Learn moreCheck out the video demonstrating the strength of the "POWER BASE" fin system!
I have briefly mentioned this in my previous blog, We have released a video demonstrating the strength of the "POWER BASE" fin system. Chris Ward on a board with the "POWER BASE" fin system Catch a set wave at crowded Lowers After the off-the-lip, when I got down to the bottom, the surfer below me On Chris Ward's line, He made an unexpected move by throwing the board, and Chris Ward was unable to avoid it. Crash while still on the board!!! Of course, wipeout!! That was a close call, says Chris Ward. The other person immediately came out of the water, but there were two fins on the board. The deck and bottom penetrate all the way to the inside of the board! He was a nice guy who was honest and apologized for letting go of the board. Chris Ward's board had no broken fins and the fin plug was completely intact. The POWER BASE fin system is the best. So, here's a video demonstrating the strength of the "POWER BASE" fin system!

MORE POWER! MORE CONTROL! The curved shape of the fin base reduces water resistance, and the fin body has a wide contact area with the board body, This is a detachable fin system that provides an excellent sense of unity with the board, just like on-board fins. The POWER BASE fin plug (cup) is oval in shape. The left and right side fins have their own unique shape and are different oval shapes. The center fin is also a special oval shape. ============================================================== This photo is The fins are inserted but the screws have not yet been tightened. *There is a gap between the board body and the fin body. When you tighten the screw, the fin plug attached to the board body is pressed against the bottom of the fin body, This is the structure that fits tightly together. The reason why the fins stick to the board is because the fin legs are structured like this. This is because when the screw is tightened, the fin body is pushed downward. ============================================================== The board equipped with this POWER BASE fin system is The fins can be moved back and forth to set them, allowing you to fine-tune the way the board moves. The side fins are adjustable by approximately 5mm and the center fin by approximately 7mm. The two photos above and below show the side fins . Compare the fin positions in the photos above and below. The top photo shows the fins at the rear, and the bottom photo shows the fins at the front. ============================================================== The two photos above and below show the center fin . Compare the fin positions in the photos above and below. The top photo shows the fins at the rear, and the bottom photo shows the fins at the front. ============================================================== How to adjust the fin position: A. If you position the fins forward (towards the nose), the movement will be lighter. B. Positioning the fin further back (towards the tail) will extend the turn. C. If all the fins are set in the center, it will be better than A. The movement becomes lighter and the board moves sharper. D. The board is most stable when all fins are spaced apart. The arc of the turn becomes larger and the turn has more drive. ============================================================== When the fin is damaged, it will fall down. The fins are supported by an oval fin plug that is slightly larger than the fin itself, which is designed to reduce damage to the board itself caused by the fin plug collapsing, a weakness of previous detachable fin systems. Boards equipped with the POWER BASE fin system plug include: It's great that you can also install the FCS fins you've been using until now! http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/board/lost_stock.html Check out our ready-to-ride stockboards equipped with the POWER BASE fin system here.
