DOUBLE-DART

Thank you to everyone who came to our store and purchased so many new LOST surfboards!

Mr. A, The customer chose the LOST " DRIVER " PRO-FORMANCE specification. Although he currently mainly uses the "BABY BUGGY," he couldn't forget the fun and ease of riding of his previous favorite "DRIVER" model, and was thinking of ordering a custom one. Then, upon hearing that the new " DRIVER " stockboards with a new design and specifications had arrived, he rushed to our store and immediately decided on the "DRIVER PRO" 5'8. He said that the new stockboard size has slightly more buoyancy than before, so it will be usable in a wider range of conditions. Mr. B, He chose the LOST " SUPER DIABLO " BLACK DART model. He was currently practicing on a longer semi-gun-type board, but wanted to try a shorter, more nimble board. After doing a lot of research, he narrowed it down to the "SUPER DIABLO," which is short, has high buoyancy, and performs well in small waves. He was debating between POLY and BLACK DART, but chose the "BLACK DART" material, which is strong and durable, yet lightweight and flexible. Mr. C said, LOST " DRIVER" chose the special edition PRO-FORMANCE R-4C. He currently rides the BABY BUGGY CARBON WRAP a lot. He's also been riding more mid-volume models with more buoyancy recently, and was looking to go back to basics and ride a high-performance model for the first time in a while. The DRIVER arrived, and what's more, it was the perfect size for him, with a rare special edition channel, so he rushed over to our store. After careful consideration, he decided to go for the one and only special edition R-4C swallowtail, as it was a special occasion board. Mr. D, The customer chose the LOST " DRIVER " PRO-FORMANCE specification. After seeing the PRO-FORMANCE specifications published on the web, he became interested in the two models, SUB DRIVER and DRIVER, and came to our store.Since he is light in weight, the difference in volume has a big impact on the ride feel, so he took the time to pick up the actual models, compare them, and confirm the difference in feel with the V2-SB he currently uses before purchasing. Mr. E, LOST " PUDDLE FISH-JP " POLYESTER specification was selected. Recently, the waves at his home spot in Ibaraki Prefecture have been getting thicker and thicker. He recently purchased the RNF-REDUX Carbon Wrap, which he says is perfectly fine for riding, but he wanted a board that would be even more suitable for the thicker waves and give him even more fun. He consulted with Nishii on the online bulletin board, decided on a board, and then came to the store. Everyone! Come visit us! Thank you for purchasing so many new LOST surfboards!

Everyone! Thank you for coming to our store and purchasing so many new LOST surfboards!

Mr. A, He chose the LOST " POCKET ROCKET " POLYESTER FUSE CARBON PATCH. He is also a heavy Lost surfboard user, and uses the Spartan or Sub Driver depending on the wave quality. This time, he purchased the rumored "POCKET ROCKET," a model designed for a sharper, tighter ride, which has been ridden with top results by professional riders from other domestic manufacturers, for use in good waves. Mr. B, LOST " DOS-DIABLO " POLYESTER resin tint color was chosen. He started surfing with a large board with high buoyancy and mastered takeoff. He switched to the DOS-DIABLO when he was able to move sideways. He decided on the DOS-DIABLO, which combines stability and maneuverability, as it perfectly suited his needs. He said he wanted to practice turning at high speed with the DOS-DIABLO's high acceleration performance. With the DOS-DIABLO, he'll be able to ride lots of waves and practice, so do your best! Mr. C said, He chose LOST's " SUPER DIABLO " BLACK DART. He had been riding various boards from various brands, including Mayhem, but wanted to be able to easily catch waves even at crowded spots on weekends, so he came to our store specifically targeting the "SUPER DIABLO." After comparing the POLY and BLACK DART boards in the store, he ultimately chose the BLACK DART board, which seemed lighter, more flexible, and more durable and attractive. Mr. D, You chose the LOST " DIABLO SPARTAN " CARBON WRAP. I hadn't surfed in a few years, but a few months ago I made a comeback by riding a buoyant PLACEBO Goblin , which I adjusted to a moderate level of buoyancy. This size of this model is the most popular, and we can't keep up with production. CARBON WRAP stockboards are more affordable than custom orders, but because we only produce a limited number, if they're out of stock, please feel free to make a reservation or inquire about their arrival date! Mr. E, He chose LOST's " DIABLO SPARTAN " BLACK DART. This exquisite board was created by a collaboration between the LOST San Clemente factory and BLACK DART, a Florida-based company with two factories on the east and west coasts, and was painstakingly and time-consumingly crafted to order. The LOST and LUVSURF logos are also full of custom touches! Everyone! Thank you for coming to our store and purchasing so many new LOST surfboards!

Here's a report from San Clemente on the Lost Surfboard Factory!

The LAM mark sheet for the RNF-REDUX model, which LOST has started distributing to TEAM riders and has been receiving increasingly positive feedback. If you're talking about LOST riders, the ROUND NOSE FISH is a must-have model. In the shaping room, MAYHEM was shaping a custom-ordered board from Japan, the "CHOPPER" model. The red order card is attached to We have received from Japanese customers, Custom order boards and stock boards for Japan. The boards with the red order card attached are made for Japanese customers, and the cloth material is a high-grade specification that is specially made for Japan, and is different from that used in the US. Forms cut by the AKU machine are lined up. There were many order cards for "Bruce Irons" stuck inside. MAYHEM repeatedly checked Bruce Irons' board, which he had cut and was about to shape on the AKU machine, to make sure the cut was going well. He found a few he didn't like and called Andrew, the factory manager, to have them re-cut. Now you can see why MAYHEM boards, which make no compromises, feel so good no matter what you ride! I was shown the red order card before the foam was cut with the AKU machine, and it seems that today is the day when only the ``CARBON WRAP'' will be cut. This is the stringerless EPS foam from MARKO that's used in the LOST CARBON WRAP surfboard. When you think of EPS foam, you might imagine a rough, bumpy texture, but MARKO's EPS foam has a smooth, clean surface, unlike other companies' foams. It also has good flex and excellent strength, which is why LOST uses it in their LOST CARBON WRAP surfboards and BLACK DART . These boards have been wrapped and attached with carbon bands using CARBON WRAP. Imagine the extra flex in the tail area after the entire board has bent, giving you the speed you need to accelerate. Thank you to everyone who came to our store and purchased so many LOST surfboards!

Mr. A, He chose the LOST "SHORT ROUND II" in POLYESTER Concept Airbrush color. He currently rides a board with a shorter, looser ride, but he had been interested in the "SHORT ROUND" for some time, which is similarly short but has a design that allows for more vertical movement and control of the action. He visited us because the new, improved version, the "SHORT ROUND II," was just in stock and in the right size. The size was perfect, and he said it was a very lucky purchase. Mr. B, LOST "DIABLO-SPARTAN" POLYESTER was chosen. He currently rides a "DRIVER" model, but recently has been going to the beach less frequently, so he was looking for a board with a slightly more buoyant feel that would make it easier to ride. However, he didn't want to sacrifice performance for ease of riding, so after browsing the website and careful consideration, he decided on the "DIABLO-SPARTAN," which perfectly met his needs. He said that the "DIABLO-SPARTAN" would make surfing many times more fun than ever before. Mr. C said, LOST "BEAN BAG" POLYESTER resin color selected. He enjoys surfing on the Lost Conquest El-Diablo, but chose this board as a second board for small waves as it looked fun and different in both feel and design. After seeing Nishii's riding video of the black Bean Bag posted online, he decided he wanted to try it out. We're very happy about that. Mr. D, LOST "DOS-DIABLO" BLACK DART was chosen. He purchased a BLACK DART stock board on the first day of release. He came to the store in a suit after work. He took the train home and will be riding it on his next day off. He hurried home to avoid rush hour. He usually purchases boards as custom orders, but he was very impressed with the high quality finish and lightness of the boards we had in stock this time. Mr. E, LOST "SUPER-DIABLO" BLACK DART was chosen. He had the day off work, so he came to the store with a friend to look at boards. He had originally planned to buy a POLY board of the same "SUPER DIABLO" model, but when he saw the BLACK DART version in the store, he thought, "If the look, performance, and strength are great, and the price difference isn't that great, then I'll go for this one!" and purchased the luxurious BLACK DART version that had just arrived. Thank you to everyone who came to our store and purchased so many LOST surfboards!

Must-see! LOST's "BLACK DART" detailed commentary video by MAYHEM himself

These boards are from the Black Dirt collection. Black Dirt technology is a new technology developed in Florida by my friend Drew Baggett. The material is beautiful, detailed, artistic, and highly engineered. It results in a loose, flexible, and buoyant board that's super lightweight. It's based on a stringerless ultra-light EPS blank, with the rails and deck glassed with fiberglass woven with carbon at a 90-degree angle. The carbon fiber covers the deck and rails, making it stiff and strong enough to prevent the board from breaking. However, the lack of carbon on the bottom makes the board not too stiff, but strong. This combination results in a surfboard that is loose and flexible, yet strong and will not break easily. What makes Black Dart unique is that it has clear fiberglass woven at 45 degrees to the carbon fiber oriented at 90 degrees, which allows us to combine tints and pigments to create these unique and beautiful boards. With tints, the clear fiberglass is tinted, but the carbon fiber remains black, which gives these unique looks. This is a pink and white tint. This is a black and pink opaque resin. This board has a clear bottom, allowing you to see the EPS foam, and the deck is laminated with a white opaque resin, which is great in hot weather as it doesn't heat up the carbon and makes it harder for the wax to come off. This deck is a purple tint all over, with no black areas, giving it a blue and purple mix, and the bottom is clear. Of course, Black Dart also has stock boards of various models and sizes, but I think you can enjoy making an impactful custom order using your favorite model and size, as well as tints and pigments. This unique artistic design, with its classic look featuring pin lines in tints and pigments, but made with cutting edge manufacturing methods and materials, the Black Dart is lightweight, lively and extremely capable in small waves. The wave quality in Florida and Japan is very similar. The Black Dart, developed in Florida where there are many small waves with little power, excels in such waves. Florida is famous for its small waves, and the wave quality is similar to that in Japan, so it's easy to see why this board works so well in Japan. Fun, light, flexible and great looking, that's Black Dirt Technology! https://vimeo.com/163532013

Big news! LOST's "BLACK DART" stockboard is now in stock!

Until now, it was only possible to ride it by custom-ordering it. "BLACK DART" stock boards are now in stock! The LOST "BLACK DART" stockboard project, which has been progressing behind the scenes, is finally ready to be announced to everyone! The LOST "BLACK DART" stockboards that will be arriving in the future will be manufactured at the trusted PLACEBO surfboard factory and will be finished as beautiful, high-quality boards. Both Nishii and Mayhem were amazed at the careful, beautiful and luxurious finish! We only have a limited number of models and sizes in stock, but once they arrive you can ride them straight away. The LOST "BLACK DART" is flexible, fits the waves well, and has excellent rebound flex performance, so it not only provides speed but also has excellent strength thanks to the "BLACK DART carbon cross." Unlike boards that use a lot of carbon and only pursue unnecessary strength so that they won't break even if hit by a car, this board has spring back performance that allows you to easily bring out the board's flex performance even with the leg strength and weight of Japanese people, allowing you to ride it comfortably when surfing. We will announce the model, size, and reasonable price once the final decision has been made, so please look forward to it. In addition, we will continue to accept custom orders for the highly flexible LOST "BLACK DART" as before. Below is an explanation of the board material for ``BLACK DART'', so please take a look again. Flex that is unrelated to stiffness! A high-end board with excellent surface strength thanks to its custom-made carbon cloth! What is the BLACK DART? The surfboard was developed by Florida-based epoxy compounding specialist and master, Drew Baggett. Lost Surfboards worked closely with Drew to fine-tune this technology and has licensed it for use. The structure and strength of the BLACK DART are immediately apparent in that the deck is made of highly flexible, high-performance stringer-less EPS foam and wrapped in epoxy resin. The deck is made of BLACK DART carbon cross, a hybrid of carbon and S-glass specially ordered by BLACK DART. This custom-made "BLACK DART carbon cloth" is wrapped in one layer in one direction from tip to tail, with S-glass fiberglass running diagonally from rail to rail. This special material and manufacturing process creates a flex that is completely different from the traditional boards that use bidirectional carbon fiber throughout the deck, which is very stiff. The BLACK DART has nothing to do with the "stiffness" of carbon. The BLACK DART carbon cross covers the entire deck and fully wraps the rails, but does not cover the bottom surface. The carbon is not crossed, but is unidirectional. This prevents the board from becoming too stiff and achieves the right flex. The bottom surface is wrapped in two layers of lightweight 4 oz. cross, making it extremely durable. Furthermore, the finished weight of the board is very light, and it also has a cool, innovative look. BLACK DART Flex Performance "Ten years ago, I was using a board with bidirectional carbon fiber, and I was watching TV and got a great inspiration. They were showing a show called Myth Busters where they put both unidirectional and 2x2 fiber on a piece of plywood and hit it with a wrecking ball. The 2x2 fiber shattered into pieces, but the unidirectional fiber just bounced back. That was when it hit me: the unidirectional fiber is more resilient." - Drew Baggett Nate Illemans won the San Diego Pro-Am on a BlackDart Lost 5'8" V3 Rocket. This beautiful board has two tinted colors. Nate said it was the fastest board he'd ever ridden. "When we first created and promoted the Black Darts, we weren't thinking of them as competition boards, but Nate showed us that wasn't the case," said Matt Biolos. Unlike the boards licensed by snowboard factories, which are stiff and designed for the strength and weight of Americans, and which are notoriously hard for us Japanese, who are heavier and stronger, to bend and lack bounce, the LOST "BLACK DART" surfboard is a luxurious board that looks cool and feels great to ride. Another advantage of the BLACK DART design and lightness is the coloring of the custom-made BLACK DART carbon hybrid cloth. Using tints and pigments, we can create beautiful color combinations. Taking advantage of the contrast between the S-glass fiber and carbon, we can create a very textured color. The larger the board, the heavier it becomes, but the thicker and wider the model, the lighter the BLACK DART becomes. This new material is ideal for boards with high CL values, such as the DIABLO series. For the latest information on BlackDart, please click here.
