The Presebo Flexlite series of surfboards are as lightweight as the competition boards used by world-class surfers. The high-density EPS foam core makes them light and durable.
On top of that is a layer of 4oz epoxy resin, a PVC sheet, and another layer of 4oz epoxy resin, all finished with a white UV-blocking paint—a sandwich construction technique. This complex layering technique achieves strength while also reducing weight. The board's light weight means it's easy to maneuver, allowing for effortless riding for all skill levels. Fans of Presebo surfboards often praise its durability and resistance to sun damage, allowing them to be sold for a high price even after years of riding, resulting in high resale value; its clean, comfortable ride; and, most importantly, its performance, thanks to its design by world-class, trusted shaper MAYHEM. We promise you that choosing a Presebo surfboard is a wise choice. For those looking for the ease of riding and durability that comes from a flexible flex
In 2005 Presebo Surfboards was born.
At the time, the market was dominated by molded boards that were stiff and inflexible, touting their durability, but they were causing knee problems and disrupting the market. Mayhem and Corey Lopez decided to create a board that they could ride and feel good on, and so they co-developed the Presebo, an amazing high-performance molded board.
Professional surfers ride unsustainable boards that have been made as light as possible to improve performance, and throw away their surfboards after two months.
Until now, the common belief in surfboards has been that high performance equals low durability. Collaboratively developed by surfboard legend Corey Lopez, known for his outstanding performance in small and big waves, and Lost Surfboards shaper Matt Biolos (Mayhem), the Precebo, built with Flexlite technology, offers the same or even better performance as the boards used by pros, while remaining incredibly durable.
PV-Cut's high-quality, glossy, deep white paintwork won't fade or discolor in the sun, maintaining its performance and appearance for over 10 years. Unlike poly-shaped boards that become dented and worthless after a few months or years of riding, these boards will maintain their appearance and performance like new. They're perfect for everyone, from beginners who are prone to damaging their boards to competitive riders who demand the highest performance.
When the Presebo first came out in Japan, some surfers were put off by its newness. However, once you actually ride it, you'll immediately notice its flex and the excellent shape of the Mayhem design, and the number of fans has skyrocketed. It has now established itself as the most popular board.
However, Mayhem and I are not satisfied with this, and we continue to discuss with Mayhem year after year, constantly reviewing and testing the materials and construction.
The Flexlite characteristic is immediately apparent to anyone who has ridden a Flexlite board, and to surfers of all levels: the board's suppleness when riding.
Just as the teeth of a saw bend and bite into wood, and a skateboard accelerates with its flex, the ups and downs provide powerful acceleration and amplify speed.
The faster you go, the more power you can gain from your next move. This is because kinetic energy is proportional to the square of your speed. Our goal is to develop a material that amplifies the flexibility of Flexlite and accelerates it to even greater speed.
The PLACEBO Flexlite series was developed by repeatedly making requests to Mayhem and the FLEXLITE factory, asking them to develop materials to be used, such as PVC sheets, taking into consideration the physical strength, leg strength, weight, and Japanese wave conditions of Japanese surfers.
Uses PVC for strength
Between the white UV-cut paint and the EPS foam is a PVC sheet. This PVC sheet can be bent as desired, is strong, and is lightweight, so it is used in vehicles that require light weight and strength, such as airplanes.
Carbon design increases rebound in turns
The carbon attached to the surface of the board is used to adjust the board's flex performance and increase the rebound of turns.
Furthermore, the board's performance has been improved to prevent twisting caused by bumps in the water or during turns, and to ensure the entire board flexes precisely. The Flexlite Series allows surfers of all skill levels to flex deeply and easily with less effort, and spring back strongly, accelerating speed with every turn.
