Model explanation
This Japan-exclusive model has continued to evolve since the birth of the original Conquest in 2008. This latest addition embodies Mayhem's cutting-edge shaping philosophy, which states that "the outline is the most important aspect of surfboard design." Mayhem has spent more time creating and perfecting prototypes than ever before to create this Japan-exclusive series, which boasts the highest sales figures.
This new version of the CONQUEST EL-DIABLO model, released in 2014, has been further fine-tuned to allow you to catch and carve waves like a devil. Adjustments have been made to the nose and tail outlines, giving it a cooler, more refined look. The slight rocker added to the nose and the wingless squash tail outline improve performance, making it easier to ride in a wide range of wave types and sizes, from deep to thick and small.
The ultimate take-off performance of the original CONQUEST model, "being able to take off from swells," has been greatly improved in the second generation "CONQUEST EL-DIABLO," and has also achieved amazing performance.
At last year's Love Surf Cup, most of the winners in each class used the CONQUEST EL-DIABLO, which not only proved its fast takeoff but also its extremely high performance.
In 2015, the "CONQUEST" was dropped from the model name, becoming the "DOS-DIABLO." This latest refinement further evolves the board, and if you've always thought that "thicker boards don't move," you'll be overturned the moment you step on the "DOS-DIABLO." By elevating your line of sight while waiting for a wave, you'll be able to spot the set faster than anyone else and paddle to the peak in the best position more quickly and accurately. The board responds smoothly and takes off as soon as you paddle. A relaxed, relaxed takeoff from the swell establishes your stance, allowing you to take off quickly and make even deep, fast waves. Now you can choose and ride waves from a wider range, not just from outside waves that you couldn't ride before.
Don't forget that this model's "speed maintenance" is just as important as its "take-off performance." This speed maintenance will allow you to ride through powerless sections of waves where you've previously lost speed and been unable to ride through. You'll be able to conquer "waves you just can't get through, but wanted to get through." We've all had the experience of losing speed in a soupy state and not being able to get out before then, but this model's "speed maintenance" will prevent that from happening again.
This DOS-DIABLO model has been thoroughly tested in Japan's wave conditions. It's the latest addition to the series, a product of years of research and development by Nishii of LOST Japan and Mayhem of LOST USA. It's the ultimate shortboard, allowing weekend surfers over 40 to launch off swells like experts, ride the best waves of the day, and look like a completely un-thick board. It's especially recommended for those who can only surf on crowded weekends.
The following people are eligible to ride DOS-DIABLO.
1. I want to take off safely from the waves
I want to take off and ride two sets of waves faster than anyone else.
3. I want to be able to move the board easily after getting on
4. Mainly crowded surfing on weekends
5 I don't want to ride a board that just has buoyancy and doesn't move.
