Model explanation

I want to overcome the break and get back into surfing.
I want to switch from longboarding to shortboarding.
In response to this demand, we approached world-class surfboard designer MAYHEM, who developed and researched this Japan-exclusive model. While the so-called retro twin fin and single fin styles can be incredibly difficult to ride, the well-balanced design of the rounded, friendly nose and the gently curved rocker design provides stability and forward momentum while paddling.
The combination of the Triple Wing design, which narrows the tail width towards the very rear, and Mayhem's signature Rocket Tail tail design, provides a responsive ride even on longer boards, helping you control the board with your back foot. The board also features a Dolphin Grab Rail, which helps you sink longer boards with less effort when dolphin-through. This Dolphin Grab Rail prevents fatigue from gripping the board repeatedly during dolphin-throughs on big waves, allowing you to maintain your paddling power, making it an essential design for a Japan-only model.
It's also the perfect surfboard design for surfers who can't get to the beach often. It's different from the clunky funboard designs beginners ride, and is recommended for those who want to get back into surfing without any stress or failure, or for those who want to transition from longboarding to shortboarding and are carefully considering various boards.

DURA-FLEX3

The "DURA-FLEX3" is an original, eco-friendly new technology that can only be manufactured at the PLACEBO factory. The core of this new composite surfboard, which supports the PLACEBO brand's signature strength and colorfast finish for long-term riding, is an EPS foam called AEROBLANK. After custom-shaping the AERO-BLANK EPS foam, the deck surface is https://cart.luvsurf.co.jp/pages/rad-diablo-2-0-flexlite-ultimate5 Three layers of +4+6oz are used, and two layers of 4+6oz cloth are hand-glassed with epoxy resin on the bottom.

Both sides of the board feature built-in carbon stringers with tapered carbon fiber, trimming from 20mm at the nose tip to a narrow, pointed 1mm toward the tail end, providing a solid ride feel. The tapered carbon fiber design uses wider carbon fiber in the nose area for stiffer flex, minimizing flex and pushing the nose forward, converting it into speed. The tail area is narrower and more pointed than the nose area for softer flex and improved response. The newly developed "DURA-FLEX3" technology allows riders to gain speed and control the board with agility.

The deck, bottom, rails, and other surfaces are all coated with UV-cut white paint, a long-lasting eco-finish that provides semi-permanent protection from the sun. The elegantly finished black and matte white body boasts the supple, easy-to-ride flex performance of a PLACEBO surfboard, designed with a focus on riding the waves.
