The PLACEBO "RNF-ULTRA" DURA-FLEX2 model and the LOST "RNF-ULTRA" model with the same shape design are manufactured at the LOST USA factory. Because they are resin color boards, production takes time and effort, and the number of units imported to Japan is limited. Since the LOST USA factory alone cannot keep up with production of the Japan-exclusive model "RNF-ULTRA," it has been decided that it will also be released by PLACEBO.
The global trend of performance mid-length boards has just begun, but Love Surf has gone even further and released the ``RNF-ULTRA'', a pioneering design categorized as a mid-fish board with DURA-FLEX2 technology!
It was developed for adult surfers over 45 who want to ride when they need more length than their usual board.
The board's length allows for a fast, stable paddle speed, allowing you to take off safely from swells and ride the waves all the way to the inside with ample, wide turns.
Also, if you normally ride a short FISH type board, you may want a longer board when the waves are bigger.
The RNF-ULTRA is a reliable tool for such situations.
Normally, the longer a FISH board is, the larger its CL value (buoyancy volume) becomes. However, the RNF-ULTRA maintains a CL value (buoyancy volume) that remains almost the same even with its length, making it easy to dolphin surf and without compromising maneuverability.
Also, if you normally ride a short FISH type board, you may want a longer board when the waves are bigger.
The RNF-ULTRA is a reliable tool for such situations.
Normally, the longer a FISH board is, the larger its CL value (buoyancy volume) becomes. However, the RNF-ULTRA maintains a CL value (buoyancy volume) that remains almost the same even with its length, making it easy to dolphin surf and without compromising maneuverability.
Normally, the CL value (buoyancy volume) increases as the board gets longer, and the rail shape becomes wider and thicker, but we have carefully adjusted the dimensions and form to ensure that these do not get in the way or make it difficult to ride.
The trick to surfing well with the length of this mid-length fish, the RNF-ULTRA, is to control the board by keeping your back stance (back foot) above the front fin when going up and down, and to always take a stance further back than the front fin when doing lip actions, pivoting on your back foot and putting your weight on the board to control it. With the RNF-ULTRA, if you keep your back foot properly on the tail area, you can use its length to your advantage to maintain speed while also easily controlling the board.
The trendy mid-length boards of around 7'0" to 6'6" are too long for us as we mainly ride short boards, and we recommend these boards to those who have avoided long board brands because they are heavy and seem difficult to move around.
