Why should you buy a surfboard from an official importer?
When you think of "shopping," many of you probably think of "online shopping." If you search, you'll find countless e-commerce sites selling surfboards.
And it's cheap... But if you can come to the store, please come and see and touch the actual surfboards.
Even if you live far away and cannot visit our store, we recommend that you consult with us multiple times and purchase from a professional shop with knowledge and experience like ours until you are satisfied.
Do you frequently buy new boards, thinking, "There must be a board that suits me better..." Or do you continue riding the same board for a long time, thinking, "This board is fine," without really knowing what it is?
Since 1996, Lovesurf has been producing surfboards with Matt Biolos, aka Mayhem, the shaper and owner of Lost Presebo Surfboards, after spending a lot of time and discussion with him.
Furthermore, rather than simply importing them, we continue to develop our own materials and models specifically for Japanese surfers. In addition to Japan-exclusive models that are suited to the physique, muscle strength and waves of Japanese surfers, we also tune our other models by developing our own materials specifically for Japanese surfers and optimizing the weight and size of the boards.

After the imported surfboards arrive in Japan, they are inspected according to Love Surf's strict standards. For example,
- Pinholes that occur during lamination
- Over-sanding of edges and noses during sanding
In fact, leaving these small items unattended can lead to flooding.
Westerners don't mind yellowing caused by water seeping in through pinholes, but for our meticulous Japanese customers, we take the time to refinish the boards. After that, we re-glass the boards for a second time, and with the strict quality control that only authorized imports can provide, we are able to provide boards of a rare quality in the world that everyone can ride with confidence.
Furthermore, even if a board is high quality and geared towards Japanese surfers, it is meaningless if it does not suit the needs and level of each individual surfer. Our surfboard sales include consulting. Our knowledgeable and experienced staff, including professional surfer Nishii, will carefully listen to your ideal surfing style and level.
After that, we will carefully explain each model until you are satisfied, and suggest and select the best surfboard for you. Finding the best board for you through this process will accelerate your improvement, and by switching to the next board, you will be able to improve even more, creating a virtuous cycle.
If you can't visit our store due to distance, please consult with a nearby authorized dealer whose staff are knowledgeable about Lost Presebo surfboards. See and touch the actual boards in the store, checking the rail thickness, weight, texture, edges, and finish. By receiving advice from an authorized dealer comparing the design and buoyancy of the board you are currently riding, you are guaranteed to get a board that will improve your game. Please consult with the authorized dealer's staff until you are completely satisfied.

Quality and Performance
Officially imported, so high quality and high performance to suit Japanese tastes
All Lost Surfboards officially imported by Lost Japan have a <MAYHEM TUNED FOR JAPAN> laminate on the bottom of the board. If you're considering purchasing a Lost Surfboard, check here first. These boards are rigorously shaped and designed by Mayhem at their California headquarters to suit Japanese waves, and are produced in designated factories with quality control that satisfies Mayhem and Nishii. Nishii himself frequently visits the Lost Surfboard factory and headquarters to further rigorously check the quality and design.
We also use materials exclusive to Japan. The cloth used to laminate surfboards is a thin, strong, and lightweight premium product, and the laminate uses optical brighter resin, which makes the finished board whiter and prevents yellowing for a long time. The effectiveness is clear when compared to parallel imports. In other words, boards sold by authorized Lost import dealers are 100% Japanese specification. They have been successfully made lighter to suit Japanese tastes, and have a "white," "yellowing-resistant," and "strong" finish that can be used for a longer period of time.

Request to everyone
Please purchase genuine imported boards with peace of mind in terms of quality and after-sales service.
Parallel import licensed boards that are not officially certified and sold by LAS OLAS, which are often seen on the internet or at auctions, are different from the original shape designs designed by MAYHEM. In particular, they are different in performance and quality from the officially imported Lost Surfboards made to Japanese specifications that we import, produce, and sell.
Parallel import boards and official import boards do not have the same performance and quality.
Some unscrupulous dealers falsely claim that "licensed boards have the same performance as original boards," even going so far as to use our company's exact descriptions for the board names and performance. However, in reality, they are completely different products. Licensed boards imported from Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Indonesia, etc. include products with the same model name, such as Round Nose Fish, and while they may appear identical at first glance when viewed in overall photos posted on auction sites, a closer look at the actual product reveals that they are quite different from the originals.
This low level of factory technology (usually the same factory mass-produces boards licensed by many famous brands) results in boards that are completely different. If you line up the same model and size and compare them in person, you will see that the details are so different that anyone can tell they are different. For example, strange tail shapes and thicknesses, outlines and rail shapes that are different from the originals, etc.
Also, boards made in Australia and elsewhere are made to be stiff and heavy, assuming that Westerners weigh over 880-90 kg. Please be aware that there have been many cases of customers not receiving their boards despite having paid, or complaining that the boards have scratches but are still in working order.

All of our Presebo surfboards are also sold exclusively in Japan. The flex is tuned and the weight is reduced for Japanese surfers.
Presebo surfboards are high-grade and designed to withstand long-term use.
Please note that we cannot provide any support for quality issues that arise after purchasing parallel imported products.
