Model explanation
A new chapter begins in the history of the PLACEBO "GOBLIN" series, which has been adjusted down to the smallest detail, including the overall shape of the board.
The ultimate in paddle and takeoff performance, the 5-fin configuration offers undeniable speed and drive.
* With a single fin, you can draw a single elegant track,
*Single + 2 fins: Cruise & Rip,
*Twin fins are loose and light,
*Twin + 1 fin has a tight lip,
*Tri-fins allow for tricky rips and turns.
The newly developed "ZEKE," a model sold exclusively in Japan, features a straight line in the center of the board's outline, allowing for speedy turns and drive in both large and small waves. You can adjust this drive performance to suit your preferences and the wave quality with five different fin settings. The bottom features a newly developed, large, deep spoon-shaped deep single concave. When you start paddling, the board lifts up and moves forward faster. It's light and nimble on the waves.
The deep single concave is designed to maximize the high-speed capabilities of the board, regardless of fin setting. The "Elevator Wing" and "Rocket Tail" combination design, first adopted on the ZEKE, allows for effortless turning, even during high-speed riding, even when reaching top speed. The voluminous buoyancy is a subtle element, allowing for effortless turning for all levels. The elevator wing's step effect makes it easier to get a grip on the initial movement when tilting and maneuvering the voluminous ZEKE rails, allowing for a lighter ride comparable to that of a competition board with thinner rails. Rocket tail hooks on both ends of the tail provide stability. The ZEKE, a new model developed to mark a new chapter in the history of PLACEBO surfboards, has been a beloved favorite for 13 years since its release.
*Single fin or
*If you are riding with a single fin +2,
The center fin box can use the same fins as the single box for long boards,
As a result of the test, when using only a single fin, or when using a single fin + 2,
Our top recommendation is the FCS II KAI SALLAS 6.5.
This FCS single fin can be easily slid on and off without tools, even while waiting for waves in the ocean.
If the single fin is positioned forward, the board will move more smoothly and its maneuverability will improve.
Putting it back will extend the turn and make it more driveable. Enjoy!
*If you ride with twin fins,
We recommend the "MR Twin" with two front wheels.
*If you are traveling with a twin + 1,
We recommend adding this MR TFX CENTER FIN/small FCS to the center box.
FCS fins are attached to the center box using this adapter. The fin holes on this adapter are originally quite tight, so when inserting the FCS fins, you will need to push them in firmly. If you want to make it easier to insert and remove the fins, you can sand down both fins a little to make them easier to use.
