Nishii always goes on Mentawai boat trips
I've been indebted to them and have introduced them on this blog several times.
This office has also collapsed.
In Padang, the area affected by the Sumatra earthquake that occurred on September 30, 2009,
They operate boat trips to the Mentawai and other areas.
From AKI of "Sumatran Surfari"
I received an email about this situation.

All members of suatransurfariis are safe, but the office has collapsed.
At the moment, the telephone, electricity, and water supply are all cut off, so we are unable to contact anyone.
For now, it's okay.
The internet environment is also unstable.
I'll contact you again when things have calmed down.

October 16, 2009
Yesterday, a gas cylinder buried in rubble near my previous office exploded and caused a fire.
Fortunately, there were no fatalities.
We are now able to give the donations we received from everyone little by little to those who have suffered the greatest damage. We are very grateful.
Nowadays, people in Padang are calmer,
I see a lot of people moving, loading their daily necessities onto trucks and wheelbarrows.

Bulldozers are roaring through the town as they demolish collapsed buildings.
There is so much dust in the town that our throats are sore and we have bad coughs.
Don't worry, I'm doing well!
The Australian Army had set up camp along the beach and were working with a system that turns seawater into fresh water. As a Japanese person, I said "thanks mate!"
I've attached a photo from yesterday.
The fire, the donations, the Australian Army, the people, Leroy.
I will email you again.
