FILM & EDIT:TOKU-TOTAL VIDEO SERVICE
On this day, Mayhem was finally free from his back pain and was surfing for the first time in about four weeks.
Therefore, the paddle force is weaker than the many models sold in the USA.
I want to ride the Conquest, which is incredibly easy to paddle and has a fast takeoff!
This is a video of me riding when I said that.
The board was a Conquest that had been stored to be sent to Japan, and I really wanted to ride it.
He took it out of storage and went for a rehab surf. First, from 0:17 in the first run to 0:34 in the third run, he lightly glided along, checking the board's buoyancy, stance position, and movement. At 0:35 in the fourth run and 0:39 in the fifth run, he puts all his weight on the rail and carves turns with his whole body. At 0:44 in the sixth run, in a section that became muddy after takeoff, he stands upright, slightly bends his knees, holds the board down, and relaxes to get out of the mud.
7th video, 1:05: Mayhem paddles significantly less than the surfer on the red funboard at the peak on the right, yet he glides out and rides the wave. The surfer on the left notices Mayhem's quick takeoff and gives up easily. The man on the red funboard on the right appears on screen much later than Mayhem, and this scene really shows off the Conquest's takeoff performance.
The eighth turn, at 1:12, was a power turn where the thick board was tilted well using the elevator wing.
At 1:16 in the ninth jump, he swings the board up and down on the backside, also using the elevator wing.
The 10th run, at 1:28, also confirmed the speed and ease of takeoff of the Conquest.
The lighter kids surfing on the Goofy side
I paddled at full speed and rode the wave, but even though it was the same wave, I only paddled three times.
You're making the takeoff.
The 11th ride at 1:36 was a double cutback after the wave got thicker after takeoff.
Returning to Soup's power zone, Mayhem is back on track and hits two vertical lip shots in a row.
The last 12th run, 1:51, was fast and after two lip turns he made a roller coaster.
If this were a contest to finish, it would be a perfect ride that would get close to 10 points.
When Mayhem came out of the water, he said the board was in good condition and he wanted it to be his own, so he asked not to have it sent to Japan. He put it on the rack of his favorite bicycle, and it has since been stored in Mayhem's family surfboard rack.
