The SUB-D is a model that Mayhem created by shaping Kolohe's ideas.
In small, wind-driven waves, Kolohe was riding the Sub-Scorcer.
Rather, it has a certain size and is not dug up,
I used the DRIVER for powerful waves.
Kolohe said he wanted a board somewhere between the Sub-Scorcher and the Driver.
I (Mayhem) have used the design program (AKU SHAPER)
We were able to incorporate and subtract different elements from each other's boards.
The outline of the "SUB-SCORCER" is based on the rocker, bottom design, and rail shape of the "DRIVER."
The result was a design that was somewhere between his "SUB-SCORCER" and "DRIVER."
Therefore, the SUB-D has a slightly weaker tail rocker than the SUB-SCORCER (there is no outward facing VEE),
There are more flat areas, but because it's a "DRIVER" design, there's a bit more nose rocker.
Think of "SUB-D" as "SUB-SCORCER" with increased driving power, a characteristic of "DRIVER."
The bottom concave is slightly deeper than the SUB-SCORCER, giving it a lifted ride.
It's a design that feels great in small, boring waves.
It responds quickly to the rebound force of the waves, making it an excellent model for all-round use in small to medium-sized waves.
