The reason why Lovesurf recommends XTR material, and why we have so many repeat customers, is because XTR foam does not absorb water. This means that even if scratches appear without you realizing it, like with POLY or EPS boards,
You won't notice it getting heavier. The fact that it stays as light as when you first bought it is a big reason why people choose XTR boards.
Habyar, the developer of the XTR board, has created an interesting test video, which we would like to introduce to you.
The stance part, which appears black, is made of XTR resin and carbon cloth to give it strength.
Since fins also need to be installed, the area around the fins is also glassed.
The white areas are exposed XTR foam and are not glassed.
If you look closely, you can see that it has been pierced with a needle.
First, measure the weight of the board before surfing.
That's about 4.7 pounds, or 2.2 kilograms.
We actually surfed the board and took it for a waterproof test ride.
After getting out of the sea, wipe off the water that has adsorbed to the surface of the foam.
When we weighed it, it was the same weight as before it went into the sea.
That's about 4.7 pounds, or about 2.2 kilograms.
It certainly hasn't absorbed any water!!
