This morning we were shooting at Riviera Beach Break in San Clemente.
From Riviera towards San Clemente Pier.
There are some big northwest swells today.
He checked the waves around here and decided this was the best place, so he went surfing there before anyone else.

Doug also came to surf with Shaw.
It's fun to film the surfing of the aerist generation.
This is a specially sized cardboard box that will be sent to Luvsurf.
Mato and his son Niki were hit by a powerful wave and their boards were broken.
Because the waves were powerful, SHAW was surfing at a higher speed.
There were also many barrel rides. The boards they were riding were of course "SHORT ROUND".
"SHORT ROUND" is not just a small wave, once you get used to it,
I can ride such an overhead wave well.
We were able to shoot some interesting video of Shaw riding some decent sized waves in "Short Round"
