Here is a report from the WCT venue "LOWERS" where the "HURLEY PRO" and "SWATCH WOMENS PRO" are held on lay days.

Kolohe Andino shoots out a beautiful, large spray in the morning sun.

The LOST/MAYHEM board team rides the waves together.
 "Kolohe Andino" and "Coco Ho"

Kolohe Andino's surfing seems to be well adjusted.

Adam Melling is also an avid surfer in the early morning practice group.

This time, he rode the LOST/MAYHEM board and returned from injury.
Jamie Florence, whose first match since returning to the tournament will be the HURELY PRO,
He will face Kelly in round two.

The waves were bigger than yesterday,
There was a long gap between sets so today was a lay day.

That's why Nishii was photographed by photographer Masuda at LOWERS.

The size is so big that it is bigger than the size of a typhoon wave in Japan, so it is already 5'7" "CONQUEST EL-DIABLO"
It felt like we were just able to cope.
This year's tournament has an event called Heritage Heat,
There will be a heat between Potts, aka Martin Potter, and Gar, aka Brad Gerlach.
Tom Curren vs. Mark Occhilupo was on at J-Bay, so older surfers should look forward to it. I don't see Brad Gerlach, but I see Martin Potter surfing every day.

It was a lay day, so in addition to WCT athletes, many coaches and event staff started surfing.
Michael Ho, the father of Coco Ho and Mason Ho, also made an appearance.

Nishii and Masuda, the photographer, started shooting like this from early in the morning.
I predict that the size will start to increase from today.
It's unfortunate as I had set up a base in front of the ASP photographer's stand and was preparing to take photos at the best angle.

However, the waves are predicted to be better than today for the next three days.
The set is said to be 7 feet in size.
It looks like the size will go down on the fourth day, so it's almost certain that it will start tomorrow.
 I'll report back tomorrow!
