We rode Gob-chan! Day 2 report from the Amami Oshima Surf Trip Journal.

IMG_3189-2 Nishii rode the PLACEBO "GOBLIN" FLEXLITE-BOOST . It's not a board that's typically ridden in reef breaks, but it was perfectly ridden and durable, so he was able to ride it safely in shallow waters. He was able to take off super fast, even in clean, waist-chest-high offshore waves. IMG_3203-2 We went around checking out the waves in lots of different places. In the afternoon, I went surfing at a right break about an hour and 20 minutes away on the East China Sea side.
