There was a forecast of strong southerly winds, and a whale had washed up on Lowers, attracting sharks attracted by the smell of blood, so surfing was not possible near Trestles.
There were a lot of surfers at Salt Creek and it was very crowded.

The waves were barrel waves like this hitting the reef break at Salt Creek, right off the coast.

The one who tackled that wave with
the PLACEBO "SHORT ROUND" FLEXLITE-BOOST was,
This man is Matt King, the King of Surfing.

Air, too,

The waves are carvable,

There were even barrels, making for perfect conditions. Matt King, aka "Kinger," had his amazing ride captured on video by our dedicated cameraman, Tony.

Nishii is on the personal board,
PLACEBO 5'8 "CQ EL-DIBALO" FLEXLITE-BOOST .

It was crowded, so I was waiting for a wave at a slightly different peak.

The wave I rode when SET came was this barrel, and when I got out of the water I was told that it was the biggest wave of all.

KOLOHE, currently ranked 4th in the WSL, will also be appearing in
"POCKET ROCKET" !

To give you an idea of how crowded it was, KA, IAN, NATE and other surfers from the area were there. Chucky has the day off from his valet parking job tomorrow, so we'll be meeting up and taking photos. Stay tuned for our report!
