Today, I met up with Chucky again, and the wind was blowing onshore from the morning.

All the treasuries except for those in the San Clemente area were destroyed, so we drove about an hour north.

We went to Redondo Beach in the South Bay.

I was skeptical about the waves at Redondo Beach, but they said they could surf even with this strong wind.

The wind was strong in this area too so no one was surfing, but Nishii was playing LOST's "SUPER-DIABLO", which is his favorite recently and is in great form, so we had a lot of fun.

The waves were powerful and deep at the beach break, and Chucky said that in the best conditions the waves would be like those at Puerto Escondido in Mexico or off the wall in Hawaii, which I thought was probably an exaggeration, but the waves made me think that maybe it was true.

Chucky is wearing
PLACEBO's "GOBLIN" FLEXLITE-BOOST .

It was a great test ride session to see how well the ``GOBLIN'' and
the ``SUPER-DIABLO'' , which has a different tail shape, would perform in powerful, deep overhead waves with a rough surface.

Because of the buoyancy, you can paddle smoothly and quickly out to sea, and even on waves that are dug by the undertow current like backwash, you can slide out of the swell, so you can easily make a free fall drop,

It led to a lip like this.

Chucky, who rides
the Goblin, moved to Redondo Beach from Ohio at the age of 10 and started surfing, spending his time surfing in the area until he was 16.

So even onshore, he was familiar with the current and was able to ride some good waves.
He really liked
the Goblin and said it worked well offshore too.
The "GOBLIN" and
"SUPER-DIABLO" have more nose rocker than the FISHQUEST, so they are perfectly fine in deep waves. What's more, their take-off performance has been improved, so you can ride a wide range of wave qualities, from small waves to fairly large waves!
Well, I'm sure you're all enjoying surfing in the middle of Golden Week, but Luvsurf has just started a "SALE"! We've prepared 30 great boards, so please take a look! This is only for Golden Week!
