From California! An undercover report on the Lost Surfboard Factory!

Nishii has been in California for a few days. Mayhem was away on a business trip to Florida, but we managed to sneak into the LOST Surfboard Factory and report back here. IMG_5822 A board with an American flag design on the board rack in front of the airbrush room. This is a custom order board. IMG_5823 This is the "BEAN BAG" model. I bet if "BEAN BAG" was airbrushed like this it would make you want to ride it hard! IMG_5824 There was also an airbrushed and Spitz painted board with an adult feel like this. The outline of the round pin is beautiful. IMG_5825 This is the MAGIC V3-ROCKET that Nate Illemans actually rode. Nate is known to be a V3-ROCKET fan. He currently works at LOST Surfboards, where he is in charge of sales to surf shops in Southern California. LOST Surfboards is an amazing company to have a former WCT surfer in such a position. IMG_5828 Here we find an order from Schoen Beschen's eldest son, Noah Beschen. The model is the "V2-GRINDER," which is highly sought after by LOST riders. The V2-GRINDER was the one ridden by Reika Noro, who won the Chiba QS the other day. The V2-GRINDER was also the model used by Kei Kobayashi, who won the previous JPSA competition in Bali. It's a popular model, and even Love Surf has received pre-orders before it even arrived, so we can't keep it in stock, and we've received many custom orders. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a competition board. IMG_5826 Inside the factory, I saw rows and rows of MARKO's stringerless EPS foam, more than I'd ever seen before. Anyone with a keen sense of intuition could already guess what kind of board this stringerless EPS foam would make. That's right, it's "CARBON WRAP." These boards are, of course, custom-ordered, but when I asked the factory manager, Andrew, he told me that customers are ordering boards with the same dimensions (sizes) as their favorite models that they've ridden in the past. IMG_5827 Indeed, people have recently been calling it the "World's Best Epoxy Board" on the web and social media, and it has been featured prominently in media around the world, spreading word of mouth, so you'll definitely want to order the "CARBON WRAP" in the best model and with the best dimensions. CW Speaking of which, when Nishii first came to Mayhem to ask him what he wanted for his first test board for CARBON WRAP, he asked for the 5'8" SUB-BUGGY-JP . Since then, the 5'8" SUB-BUGGY-JP is my fourth CARBON WRAP . If you can't find your perfect board in the stock boards, we encourage you to consider a CARBON WRAP custom order ! Now, on the fourth day of CA, Nishii hasn't been surfing because the waves have been small every day. He can do it if he pushes himself in knee-high waves, but the forecast says the waves will come out soon, so he's working before then. LLLLLLL It's like this at LOWERS, where you can manage even if you can't surf. At LOWERS, the pro-am junior contest for those under 20 years old will start next Tuesday. Apparently, 250 representative players selected from around the world are gathering, so the competition is sure to be amazing. Kei, who lives at LOWERS, is also participating as a representative of the USA, so we're looking forward to it. Young Japanese pro-am players are also attending. We'll be reporting on the competition in the future, so stay tuned! The waves are forecast to get better and better, so we're looking forward to it!
