"Maria Manual" vs. "Coco Ho"

Two of the four princesses from LOST faced off against each other again.
The two faced off in the final at the Oceanside QS6000 last weekend.
Coco Ho is the winner.

Today, our "Maria Manual" got revenge and won.
Round 3 Men's Division:

He is also a WCT rookie from Australia who rides the LOST Carbon Wrap.
Davy Castle has advanced to Round 4 tomorrow!

Starting this year, he is also working as a salesman for LOST Surfboards USA.
Nate Iyomans also advanced to Round 4 tomorrow!

Last year's Junior Men's champion, Griffin Colapinto, advanced to Round 4 tomorrow after winning the Men's Division. However, he was eliminated in the Junior Men's class as the remaining members of the Junior Men's division are becoming stronger and more skilled.

And it was a big upset, but it was disappointing to see Kolohe Andino lose in Round 3. The waves are small and it's a four-man heat, so if you don't get good waves, even if you're at a higher level, you can easily lose in a QS four-man heat.

Also, Michael Rodrigues, a former WCT surfer from Brazil who was riding the Lost Carbon Wrap and was in top form, was also defeated without any good waves. Even WCT surfers Carissa Moore, Jordie Smith, Julian, and Josh Kerr have suffered similar losses.

Kei Kobayashi competed in the quarterfinals of the Junior Men's class.
This photo was taken while surfing at the contest venue before the heat.

The waves were getting worse with the high tide, but I got two backside rides.

After tallying up the scores, everyone's favorite, "Kei Kobayashi," won the match!

Masaki's dad and I look so happy with our big smiles after the heat!
Kei's next semi-final will be at around 8:50 AM on Saturday, July 30th local time.
The event is scheduled to start at around 12:50 AM on Sunday, July 31st, Japan time.
