He is one of the most exciting surfers among the WT members. The LOST team's surfing style is so unique that they are gaining more and more fans. The speed at which you rise from the bottom to the top, The lip action is powerful and the board returns with incredible speed. He is also good at barrels, has a high success rate in airs, and has a wide variety of lip tricks. He is an aggressive style surfer. When I was competing in the QS, I often rode bikes like the BABY BUGGY and SUB-DRIVER, but once I joined the WT, I started riding the DRIVER and POCKET ROCKET more often. His nickname is "M-ROD". Please keep that in mind. Around this time last year in 2017, I came to Japan for the Shidashimo QS6000. I have fond memories of riding the LOST CARBON WRAP in contests. カリフォルニア滞在中の西井は、メイヘムの案内で最新ボードが制作されているファクトリー『バーシャムス』へ潜入してきました。 この『バーシャムス』ファクトリー内では現在ホリデーシーズンへ向けて2026年の新モデル「フォーミュラー1」が所狭しと制作されていました。 この「フォーミュラー1」は2026年先行モデルとして発売される新モデルで2025年WSLワールドツアーの試合でチームライダーたちが使い好成績を収めたモデルです。 一般的には「ドライバー3.0」として認知されていましたが、WSLの試合を実況するライブで話するアナウンサーたちは「ドライバー4」に乗っていると何度も試合で話していたのをご存知でしょうか？？？ この「ドライバー4＝フォーミュラー1」は「ドライバー3.0」から進化したものではなく、全く新しい別シェイプデザインです。なので「ドライバー4」とは呼ばずに「フォーミュラー1」としてリリースします。 この「フォーミュラー1」と言うモデルは、長年のLostサーフボードユーザさんなら知っているかと思いますが、過去にもこの同じ名前のモデルがあったのですが、その「フォーミュラー1」を最新バージョンにしたものが2026年リリースされる「フォーミュラー1」通称『F1』エフワンになります。2025年ヤゴドラをワールドチャンピオンに導いたボードがこれです。 ドライバー3.0よりもやや細身でロッカーも若干だけありレールは薄く削がれています。 シャープに動く速いボードで、とにかくチームライダーたちが『速い！』と絶賛しているモデルです。 「フォーミュラー1」モデルは、アメリカでは11月中頃に限定本数リリースされ、日本では年末頃にかけて限定本数を2026年先行発売予定となっていますので皆さん楽しみにしていて下さい。 ハイパフォーマンスモデルユーザの方はLOSTチーム達と同様に必修になるモデルとなりますね！
