Davy Castle
He is an Australian surfer and former World Tour competitor. He also came to Japan for this contest last year. The board he was riding was his favorite model
, the "POCKET ROCKET." He had a good selection of waves and landed two high points, winning his heat.
"Evan Geiselman"
He is well known in Japan as he won this tournament two years ago. Riding his
"POCKET ROCKET," he surfed like a surefire favorite to win. He also surfed like a veteran surfer who has competed in the QS series for many years, but he surprisingly finished in fourth place.
Yesterday was a spectacular day with plenty of waves.
