Caroline Marks placed third at last week's Surf Ranch Pro, held at Kelly Slater's wave pool in Lemoore, California.

She qualified for the WSL at the age of 15, finishing seventh in last year's WQS. Only the top six finishers in the WQS qualify for the WSL, but Caroline Marks earned a spot on the World Tour because the two women ranked ahead of her also met the required qualification points.

He was the youngest person ever to qualify for the WSL.
Taylor Wright qualified at 16 and was a rookie at 17.

Caroline Marks has won 12 heats this season with an average heat score of 12.29. She placed third at the Vans US Open in early August.

She is one of six children and growing up she tried to keep up with her older brothers and developed a competitive habit that got her to where she is today. In the video, she says she is looking forward to competing for a world title.
