He is the younger brother of Griffin Colapinto, who is making his first appearance in Japan.
As a seeded player, I started from round 2, but I came in third in a heat of four.
Only the first and second place winners could advance to the next round, round 3, so I was eliminated here.
Even though he lost the competition, he spent the evening practicing surfing at Sidatora, the venue next to the competition.

Noah Hill
This is his first appearance on 24'S Blog.
He is a surfer from the USA and is good at aerials.
Nishii follows him on Instagram and has always wanted to see him perform live, and this was the first time he was able to do so.
My lower body is strong so I wasn't afraid to attack the intense close-out sections, but I ended up losing by a narrow margin in third place.

Nishii and I often surf together in San Clemente, so we're good friends. Today he was riding his favorite
Sub-Diver . He's a great friend of Kolohe's, so I want him to go to the World Tournament soon, but every year he's just one step away from making it. This time, he's one of the favorites to win, so I hope he can win the 6000, which has a high point value, and become a World Tournament competitor.

He is also famous as the winner of this year's competition two years ago. He is a tall, slim surfer from Florida.
He's incredibly good at small beach breaks, and with the forecast calling for smaller and smaller waves this year, we can expect him to win again. He was riding his usual

Ian Crane and Evan Geiselman were in the same heat.
Evan Geiselman came in first place and Ian Crane came in second, advancing to Round 3.
