The center wooden stringer is made from paulownia wood from southern Kyushu, and Kiri-Flex is a Japan-exclusive foam that is lightweight, offers deep flexibility, and high resilience. This special foam is made exclusively for Japan by CORE Foam, a company in Chiba, by sandwiching the paulownia stringer with CORE Foam, an Australian foam called "CORE WHITE." While the shape design of the LOST surfboard itself is the same, the Kiri-Flex (core foam) results in a board with good resilience, speed, and lightness. Its excellent resilience makes it a board preferred by competition-minded surfers, and it's designed for high-performance surfing.
