If you're not a fan of backside lip action, take a closer look.

Check out the photos of Masato's continuous backside lip action at a small beach break. If you are not good at backside lip action, please take a closer look. Backside riding requires a firm core, The key is how well you can turn your upper body from the waist up towards the wave. Masato starts his lip action by opening his left palm and making a bottom turn. By twisting your palm upwards to match the waves, The movement is in the order of hands, body, and board. Once you can do this movement, you'll be able to hit the board vertically. This form feels like riding the wave many times on a daily basis. Try shadow surfing and imagine it as you head out to sea! These are videos taken in Huntington Beach, where trials begin this weekend. Masato also managed to pull off an air reverse like this on the front side. If you want to do high performance surfing at a Japanese beach break, I highly recommend the LOST " UBER DRIVER " model, which Nishii has recently taken a liking to! The ready-to-ride "UBER DRIVER" model is available here !

Three Luvsurf pro team riders gather on the larger "LOWER TRESTLES"!

Three Luvsurf pro team riders, "Kei Kobayashi," "Sho Kobayashi," and "Masato Yukawa" We gathered at the enlarged "LOWER TRESTLES" and had a session! Check out the session! "LOWER TRESTLES" is said to be the biggest wave in recent times. Juniors, girls, men, women, and local surfers participating in the US OPEN gathered and it was extremely crowded from the morning, with more than 10 people paddling on one wave like this. You can't catch a wave unless you ride from the back of the peak! "Kei Kobayashi" I was surfing with a 5'7" Pocket Rocket T round tail at the beginning, The big waves close out, so we aim for medium-sized waves. I went up to the beach once and changed my board to my usual 5'5" POCKET ROCKET squash tail and started surfing. "Sho Kobayashi" He caught set waves and surfed on the round tail " Driver " that he rode when he had the size and recently on a trip to Nicaragua. As for the color design of this board, Shaw apparently painted it himself. "Masato Yukawa" He started out surfing on a 5'7" UBER DRIVER , which he's been riding recently, but the waves started to get 8-foot sets, so he went up to the beach and changed his board to a 5'9" POCKET ROCKET squash tail and surfed. Immediately after that, he started to create some great action, finishing with a high-speed spinning air reverse before coming up. When the fish get this big, the water level rises dramatically and it was fun to photograph them! Nishii filmed the three of them riding, so please look forward to the release!!

Check out Masato Yukawa's LOST 5'8" "VOODOO CHILD" POLYESTER session.

I went to Chiba to take some photos, where the north swell is continuing. This is a beach break with strong currents that require constant paddling. On this day, barrel waves appeared, which are common in such conditions. However, the waves are fast and break fast. It was surrounded by many barrels, I was charging it so much that I was worried the magic board would break. Looking at the photo, the wave quality looks similar to that of Skeleton Bay, where Corey Lopez surfed. According to Masato, "VOODOO CHILD" is, Apparently the backside of the board has a quick turn and is very comfortable to ride. The board was moving so fast that even though the fins were off, it didn't stop. The maneuvers were drawn smoothly. From the people watching in the sea, from the deep bottom turn, I was told that I hit the lip shot with a high impact point. Masato is so impressed that he has decided to make the VOODOO CHILD the next board he rides. The "VOODOO CHILD " stock board will also be in stock in April, so please look forward to it!

Masato Yukawa riding the LOST Pocket Rocket model. Photo by M. Uehara.

These photos were taken last Saturday in Minami Boso, Chiba. The photographer is Masanori Uehara. The bike that "Masato" rides is a self-painted LOST " POCKET ROCKET " model. On this day, the waves were small, about waist-high, and the wind was blowing from the side. He was able to make good use of the capabilities of the POCKET ROCKET model, which allows him to surf even in small waves by taking advantage of the wave pockets. He took advantage of the curves and took advantage of his tall body to ride comfortably. That's a carving turn! The water temperature is currently high throughout Chiba, and Masato is wearing a full 3mm jersey suit on this day. Nishii has also surfed in northern Chiba several times this week, but the water temperature has been high, so he surfed in a full 3mm fleece suit and boots. Gloves were not necessary, and the water temperature was so high that it didn't feel like February. In winter, the water is clean, there are few people, and you can ride lots of waves, but now the water is warm, so everyone should come and enjoy riding lots of waves!
