Unlike the regular model, the popular Orca stock board is rare!

We received a message from someone who saw the ORCA riding video, which was first released on yesterday's blog. Love Surf was dominated by the topic of ORCA today, with many inquiries, reservations, and customers coming in to make purchases. Since not many people have seen this board yet, I will explain it with photos. The biggest feature is the bottom side of the front foot, which is a dome bottom like the bottom of a boat, so it is thick, It has a lot of width, but the lead from the front foot allows for smooth control. You can see the shape of the dome bottom clearly in this photo. The rail side is low and the center is high. The bottom concave in front of the Mayhem mark is a shallow double concave. And the rail shape is also wide from the nose to the fin area, when the board works on the rail, To prevent snagging, the rails have no edges and are semicircular in shape. The fin is the deepest part, and it has one large single concave. It is a tri-concave design with two concaves centered around the stringer. The board floats up, giving it fast gliding performance, allowing you to ride quickly even in small waves. The tail end is designed with an extremely strong vee to allow the wide diamond tail to be easily tilted. It is a special board exclusively for Shonan, and is basically a custom order model, We do not keep a large number of stock boards like we do with regular models, so if the board that arrives is the size you want, we recommend that you make an immediate decision. We also have a small number of Orcas with XTR 3D CARBOLIC specifications in stock in our store. What do you think? Wouldn't you like to try riding an Orca on small waves? The special page for "Orca" can be found here: http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/camp/orca.html The "Orca" model introduction page is here. http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/board/lost_model.html#orca

Today was the day I flew from CALIFORNIA to Tokyo.

A fantastic early morning view of Trestles. A corner of the Lost Surfboard Factory. Machine-cut blanks ready to be shaped are leaning against the wall in Mayhem's shaping room. Professional boards on display at the entrance to the LOST surfboard warehouse. Today Nishii flew from LA to Tokyo. The flight from LA airport to Tokyo took about 11 hours. This is the beach in front of LA Airport. There were waves breaking that looked good enough for surfing. I just arrived safely at my home in Tokyo. I'll be working at Love Surf from tomorrow, September 9th.

Today Nishii was traveling to CALIFORNIA.

Today Nishii was traveling to LA. This is my first time flying the A380, the world's largest passenger aircraft. Even in economy class, which has seats on the second floor, the monitors are large, It is comfortably equipped with an LED reading light, USB and video input power supply. It was the same plane as Dane Reynolds. Apparently, on his second visit to Japan, he was hit by a huge wave at the mouth of a river. I broke my right rib and was in a lot of pain. We arrived safely in California, where waves are expected to rise. So stay tuned for tomorrow's report.

Mayhem begins testing new FCS fin plugs.

Here's preparing for Hurricane Irene, which is currently approaching the East Coast. It's a "Gokkin'" necessity, and it's full of beer. Shea Lopez surfing in the barrel of Hurricane Irene A rare photo of Kolohe and Luke doing a double air. These two are Kolohe's "SUB-DRIVER" It's also available at Love Surf! http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/board/lost_model.html#sub-driver This is a new plug that is scheduled to be released by FCS. The current FCS plug has an FCS mark in the recess when the fin is removed. There are counterfeits out there that are often attached to cheap boards, so The mark appears to be on the outside so that it can be seen at a glance. Even if you sand the plug, the mark will not disappear like a Kintaro candy.

What LOST model did AM team rider Masato Yukawa choose?

After closing the shop today, AM team rider Masato Yukawa came by. It will be held in Irago, Aichi Prefecture next Sunday. I chose the board for the Yumeya Charity PRO AM contest. The top AM finisher will receive a prize of 100,000 yen. We carefully selected the 5'11" EPS-equipped "F1-STUB" from the store. The mark on the deck is a SCORCHER mark, made by mistake by the laminator. The model is "F1-STUB". These two are the F1-STUB and SCORCHER models, both 2 3/16" (5.55cm) thick. It's made of polyester, but it was a little too thick, so I stopped using it. I will clean it up and put it up for sale as a used board soon.

The laminated "ORCA" mark exclusive to Shonan is now complete!

The Shonan-exclusive "ORCA" laminated mark is now complete. Beautifully finished in three colors: black, white, and gray. Development began with Conquest, and it was designed specifically for Japanese wave conditions and Japanese users. A Japan-exclusive model designed by Mayhem. The markings on these Japan-only models are also limited editions, The laminate mark is printed in Japan exclusively for the Japan-exclusive model. The reason why we take the trouble of printing in Japan and then sending it to US/LOST is that Because the ink is of good quality. The laminated mark of each model has the same design, There are two types of inks, one for POLY and the other for EPXY/XTR. We use two types depending on the board material. For EPXY/XTR, in particular, to prevent the white parts from turning yellow due to the resin. It uses a special ink that is not yet available in the US, where Lovesurf has partnered. It is printed in a factory with excellent printing technology. The Japan-exclusive model that Love Surf is developing with Mayhem has a special marking!

Introducing the new machine following "DSD" and "AKU"! What's its name?

Introducing the new machine following "DSD" and "AKU"! Its name is "3DM" This yellow is "DSD" This red is "AKU" These are for those who are studying the latest CALIFORNIA surfboard information on this 24 blog, As you may already know, LOST owns two shape machines called "DSD" and "AKU." Next, we will introduce the latest shape machine we have developed. Epoxy Pro, the company that produces XTR, "Parallel Flex" with two wooden stringers lined up in parallel, Demand for stringerless products such as the XTR 3D CARBOLIC is growing rapidly, In order to accurately machine cut these blanks (forms), We have introduced a new machine called "3DM". The great thing about this machine is that it can be used with or without stringers, and no matter how many there are, The ability to cut blanks and the fact that we have not been able to share this until now. It is now possible to cut "DSD" and "AKU" data. wonderful!!! And what makes Mayhem happy is that the cut surface is the flattest. Apparently, this allows for smoothing of the shaping process more accurately and quickly.
