"Luvsurf USA INC" opens inside LOST Surfboards headquarters!
Today's LOWERS. There seems to be a bit of a southerly swell, which is rare in winter, so the waves look good, but there was no surf today. I went to an accounting firm in IRVINE that handles Luvsurf USA INC, the US subsidiary of Luvsurf Japan. We have begun the process of relocating our office to the LOST Surfboards headquarters in San Clemente. This is the exterior of LOST Surfboards headquarters in San Clemente. All LOST surfboards shipped within the US and around the world are gathered here. We have now completed setting up a desk in this room on the second floor. Nishii will be working here from next week while he is in the US. We will be able to deliver the latest information about LOST surfboards to people in Japan more quickly and directly than ever before. The first delivery of 2012 has arrived from LOST Clothing. These latest clothing items will be available on Luvsurf by the end of January, so stay tuned!

There was a north swell coming in for just one day, so we headed to Mexico at dawn! Driving from the USA to Mexico, this is the border gate. The fence with the lamp is the border fence between Mexico and the United States. As dawn broke, we passed near the Bahama Ridge. Unmanned waves keep appearing! There was no one there and no one surfing, but the waves were amazing. This is the rest stop for today. The waves are a powerful, light reef break with barrels. Today there were only five surfers in the ocean at most. The famous San Miguel. Here we are with Sho & Kei's father, Mexico expert Masaki. At the back of the peak is the mouth of the river, and this is where you can get out. It has more than twice the power of the Trestle and the hollow wave quality means you can ride twice the distance. At the border on the way back, I was subject to a random computer-selected inspection. It took a while to get into the USA.

Today is Saturday, and it's a beautiful sunny day in Orange County. The air is clear and you can see far into the distance. This is a LOWER wave. The wave quality is like clean wind waves. We visited the Wakabayashi family's self-built second home on the beach, which is only available on weekends. I went for a test surf. The board I rode was an improved version of the 5'6" FQ, and I also tested the new fins. The wind direction was changing from onshore to offshore in a short period of time, We were able to test it on both clean and uneven water surfaces. Today's LOWERS. The wind is blowing from the south and the waves aren't clean, but they're still good. This board has been custom airbrushed for a Luvsurf customer and is now on its way to the glass shop. This is the original LOST surf skate. Mayhem shaped it like a surfboard. The thing leaning against the back is a Kolohe Hawaiian gunboard. It's a nice contrast in length. The fixed part of the laser point on the AKU machine has been changed to metal. Previously, it was fixed to the wooden part at the top, but since wood shrinks due to humidity and temperature, it would shift and they had to readjust it every time, but by switching to metal, they no longer have to go through that hassle. LOST also uses EPS Marco foam, which they have specially made for them. It has the LOST logo printed on it. The exterior of the LOST Surfboard Factory has been painted in new colors. Previously, Mayhem had said that he wanted to change the color of the exterior walls. He seemed curious and went outside again and again to look at it with a happy look on his face.

We received a message from someone who saw the ORCA riding video, which was first released on yesterday's blog. Love Surf was dominated by the topic of ORCA today, with many inquiries, reservations, and customers coming in to make purchases. Since not many people have seen this board yet, I will explain it with photos. The biggest feature is the bottom side of the front foot, which is a dome bottom like the bottom of a boat, so it is thick, It has a lot of width, but the lead from the front foot allows for smooth control. You can see the shape of the dome bottom clearly in this photo. The rail side is low and the center is high. The bottom concave in front of the Mayhem mark is a shallow double concave. And the rail shape is also wide from the nose to the fin area, when the board works on the rail, To prevent snagging, the rails have no edges and are semicircular in shape. The fin is the deepest part, and it has one large single concave. It is a tri-concave design with two concaves centered around the stringer. The board floats up, giving it fast gliding performance, allowing you to ride quickly even in small waves. The tail end is designed with an extremely strong vee to allow the wide diamond tail to be easily tilted. It is a special board exclusively for Shonan, and is basically a custom order model, We do not keep a large number of stock boards like we do with regular models, so if the board that arrives is the size you want, we recommend that you make an immediate decision.
