These are photos from a video clip that Nishii shot during his recent stay in California. At Lower Trestles, where the waves have become smaller, 2024 WSL Rookie of the Year: 18-year-old Sawyer Lindblad I was allowed to take photos of him practicing while his parents were watching. She joined the World Tour in 2024 and won Rookie of the Year with an impressive final ranking of 8th place. He entered the contest without any experience surfing at Pipeline or Teahupo'o in Tahiti. In Tahiti, he proved he is a surfer who can handle big waves, scoring 9.43 points. He won Rookie of the Year and is expected to perform even better in 2025, so keep an eye on him.
