This is the LOST/MAYAHEM 5'8" BEACH BUGGY that I've been test riding.
The waves at Salt Creek seem to be bigger than yesterday and are good. From Salt Creek, head south on PCH. The Southside Pier in San Clemente also has some good waves. T-STREET was also larger than yesterday. This is Riviera Beach Break. The waves here were smaller. I decided to surf on the largest size of the Trestle. The board continues to be test-ridden, LOST / MAYAHEM 5'8" BEACH BUGGY. This model is designed for bad waves, but of course it can also drive and turn in good waves. The single concave is deep and the board doesn't sink, so the top turn is light and easy. This is a new and recommended model for 2013 that runs well and is fast. Stock boards will be arriving from March, so stay tuned!
Learn moreThe "COUCH POTATO" model is also a model that can be ridden from the swell before it breaks.
The waves were tiny again today, so we went to Oceanside. Very small wave conditions perfect for the 5'2" COUCH POTATO model. It's short but has a fast takeoff. This model is truly one that can be ridden from the swell before it breaks. This photo is proof of that. The surfers at the back of the peak were frustrated that they couldn't catch a wave, Nishii starts sliding with ease and is slowly trying to stand up. It runs well in small waves with little power, This is a model that you'll want to ride in Japanese wave conditions like this, where you can make loose and hard turns even in flat waves. When I went to LOST Surfboards, Joe Alani, who produced the DVD Word Story, was there. He was very happy to receive the Transworld Surf magazine award and is currently working on a new LOST TV series. Nishii's personal board was finished. It was a 5'10" WHIPLASH-TB model. Taji's own "WHIPLASH-TB" model, also 5'10", was also completed, so we put them side by side for a commemorative photo. The popular "ORCA" model has been so popular since its release that production is unable to keep up with demand for all sizes, and a clear board made with POLYESTER has also been completed. The photo shows today's sunset at San Clemente Pier. The waves are expected to get a little bigger starting tomorrow.
Learn moreHere are our first impressions of the Lost "BEACH BUGGY" model!
This photo was taken at Salt Creek today. The waves were extremely small and no one was surfing, which was rare. There were no waves around San Clemente either, so surfing was impossible. So, today's Nishii is, We went to the South Side Pier at Huntington Beach, where there were some waves. Available at Love Surf from spring 2013 I went to test drive TAJ Barrow's new model, the BEACH BUGGY. The waves look like this. They look good in the photo, but they are SET waves that come very occasionally, and there are no waves anywhere so it's crowded. The waves have been so small for so long now that I can't remember ever having such a long stretch of time. However, the BEACH BUGGY is a high-performance model that is short and buoyant, making it perfect for ripping in small, knee-high waves. Its dimensions are 5'8" x 18 1/2" x 2 1/8". "It ran well, floated well, didn't stall, and moved lightly." My first impression is that the SUB-SCORCHER has sharper movement. It has volume overall, but this new model is designed for those who don't need the volume of the SUB-DRIVER-JP and can be made 1-3 inches shorter than the F1-STUB or WHIPLASH-TB for more buoyancy. I'll ride it when the waves are bigger than they are now, and will write another review after riding it more.

This is today's LOWERS. San Clemente is experiencing flat waves that are only around once a year. This is Salt Creek. There are no waves and no one is surfing. It's rare, but the low pressure that brought snow to Japan yesterday is forecast to bring Bixell over the weekend, so I'm looking forward to it. In the newly expanded silkscreen room at the LOST surfboard factory, The new Luvsurf sticker edition was finished. We are now able to print the laminate marks that go on these lost surfboards in-house. New for 2013, you can specify it when ordering custom. Check out the photos of recommended marks in action. Learn more"FU・WAX" is selling well! If you haven't tried it yet, please give it a try.
"FU・WAX" is selling well! If you haven't tried it yet, please give it a try. Kelly and other WCT players say they can't use any other wax anymore after experiencing its high-performance adsorption power. Try to dramatically reduce wipeouts. This photo was actually requested by Kelly Slater, who came to Hawaii last year. This is a photo of the wax that "FU・WAX" sent to Kelly. "FU・WAX" is a high-quality wax that is 100% handmade in Brazil. This is a rare item that has been carefully and faithfully handcrafted by FU in Brazil, one by one. It is more expensive than waxes currently on the market, but one bottle can be used 6 to 10 times if you apply it before each surfing session. The grip effect of the wax is very different from previous waxes and lasts longer, so some people say that there is no need to apply it every time. This wax has such excellent grip performance that you will be convinced once you use it, that almost everyone who has used it has commented that they don't feel it is expensive. Please throw away any concepts of WAX you have used up until now. This is the world's best surfing wax used by Kelly himself and other WCT surfers. There is currently no wax that offers better performance. "FU・WAX" is a top coat wax. Be sure to apply a base coat, and it's best to apply it thinner than previous waxes. There is no need to apply a thick layer of wax to improve grip like with previous waxes. If stringy residue appears, there is no need to apply any more. A thin layer is best! I tried applying it over colored wax and it worked without any problems! Of course, Lost's first TEAM rider, Strider Wazulski, is also using it! It has also started being sold at Luvsurf stores. http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/store/11847/ You can also purchase it via mail order here.
