I (Mayhem) have been glued to short, wide 6'0 hybrids for a long time, but lately I've been loving mid-lengths like the full-scale 7'2". But those boards, my secret weapon, come in different lengths. I was looking for a sweet spot between a typical hybrid (traditionally ridden at or shorter than your height) and a Mayhem model that offered a middle ground. The PARTY CRASHER was designed to fill that gap. It glides and paddles like a longer board, but is also very maneuverable like a shorter board and easy to take on trips. The PARTY CRASHER does that. It feels like you can ride it anywhere, on any wave. I started building the PARTY CRASHER with my favorite length, the 7'2". We shaved 6" off the tail, creating a stronger diamond shape. This shortens the rail line even further, allowing for faster, more radical turns. Next, we lowered the nose rocker by 2", making it lower and wider forward for a quicker glide and wave entry. We intentionally left a generous amount of tail rocker. For a short board, it works in tight pockets and average beach breaks. It doesn't need room to turn. The PARTY CRASHER has a rounded outline with relatively little rail volume. It features a deeper, more radical concave bottom that transitions from single to double. This deeper concave adds lift and pops in small waves. We also increased the rocker in the rail line vertically, allowing for tighter, more radical turns. You can be confident that it's more effective at catching waves than any other board out there. And it's an incredibly nimble and maneuverable machine. This is a board for all ages. It's designed to allow mature surfers to catch waves in crowded waters without the typical performance loss that comes with riding longer, higher-volume boards. Choose a size that's 4"-8" longer than a shorter, hybrid style. Nishii is 170cm tall and weighs 60kg. The PARTY CRASHER board size he rides is 5'10" 19 1/2" 32.0cl. It's the same 32.0cl as his favorite ZEKE2.0, so it feels great. Even though it's a mid-length, it's actually the shortest at 5'10". Its narrow width (only 19 1/2") allows for speed in knee-deep waves, and its narrow width allows for agile vertical rips and tight turns in narrow waves.
