We rode the California Twin in choppy onshore conditions!

Hello, I'm Kohei, a staff member. Here are my impressions after riding the California Twin MADE IN JAPAN QUALITY in southern Chiba the other day. I've ridden the California Twin before at its best size, and this time I'll be surfing the 5'8" with a slight overflow, so I'd like to report on the difference in riding feel between the two sizes. (Height: 168 cm , weight: 64 kg) On the day, the set was from Momo to Koshitama, and the wind was blowing from the east at around 4m, making the conditions choppy and bad. Most of the waves were flattened by the wind, making for slow, sluggish conditions, but there were occasional sharp waves that you could ride in a good position for short rides. This time, I met up with M, a heavy Love Surf user, and went into the ocean. He asked me if I wanted to try out the LOST 5'8" California Twin MADE IN JAPAN QUALITY board he had recently purchased, as it was in great condition, so I gave it a test ride! My first impression when I started paddling was that it felt unstable and the paddle didn't link well with the board and the waves, making it difficult. I didn't notice it when it was just the right size, but I think that in today's choppy conditions, the wider width than the nose, which is an advantage as it has overflow, caused it to pick up the water surface in an odd way, making it difficult to stabilize. As for the take-off performance, which is what everyone is most interested in, I was impressed that it was very fast, even though I'm not used to it yet. One of its features is that the widest point is further forward, which allows you to position the paddle at the front of the surfboard, and the relatively modest nose rocker is also a plus. https://vimeo.com/527744362 The thing that surprised me most about the California Twin was its speed. Without doing anything after takeoff, the plane reaches top speed in an instant, and at first I felt like my body was being left behind! The rail shape is thinner than the rails of this type of model, so it was particularly easy to get into rail waves! https://vimeo.com/525404136 The surfboard design, which is based on the assumption that the WING FISH TAIL, which is not too wide, and the M/R Twin STAB, is a perfect match, so when I rode the 5'7" it moved surprisingly well, but at 5'8" I could feel the weight. Mr. M said that regular tri-fins also look fun in waves of a certain size! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHk0T2M3mNo&list=TLGGCgJ4t7q6KOIwMTA2MjAyMQ After riding both sizes of the California Twin, I felt that, depending on the size chosen, it was a very easy-to-handle fish for any rider, and it was a performance fish that was capable of both relaxed surfing in small, low-power conditions as well as aggressive performance! It's now the number one surfboard I want to buy next! For more information about "California Twin", click here!

The "SUB DRIVER 2.0" using "Kiri-Flex" is now in stock!

The "SUB DRIVER 2.0" model, which is ideal for competitions in small conditions, is now available in the "Kiri-Flex" specification, which uses paulownia stringers from southern Kyushu! "Kiri-Flex" is a blank that uses paulownia wood from southern Kyushu for the stringer, which has the perfect conditions for stringers, such as grain density, toughness, and color. Paulownia wood from southern Kyushu is the lightest, resistant to moisture, and extremely strong for its weight, making it ideal for use in stringers. https://vimeo.com/525414645 It's light, flexible, and has a strong rebound, so it's a great fit for Japanese waves and the SUB DRIVER 2.0, and I highly recommend it (although it depends on the conditions). Some sizes are already sold out, so make your decision soon! For a model description of the "SUB DRIVER2.0", please click here!

NEW ARRIVAL! The LIGHT SPEED version of the California Twin performance fish, a collaboration between MAYHEM and M.R., has arrived for the first time!

The latest EPS material ``LIGHT SPEED'' from the performance fish ``California Twin'', created by ``MAYHEM'' and ``Mark Richards'' in one shaping room, has arrived at Love Surf! LOST's original EPS material "LIGHT SPEED" was released after repeated trial and error by "MAYHEM" and LOST's QS team. Last year, it was produced by "DRIVER2.0" and "RAD RIPPER", but it was so popular that it sold out. https://vimeo.com/515165229 The LIGHT SPEED technology is made up of lightweight, high-density EPS foam from Aeroblanks, high-strength epoxy resin, and a highly elastic and strong white-lined X-glass (deck surface). The California Twin is based on the Super Twin, the most popular model designed by Mark Richards, and is a user-friendly small wave performance fish model suitable for all riders. https://vimeo.com/527744362 Unlike trendy alternative twinfish models that are difficult to handle and have their own quirks, the California Twin combines the nimble maneuverability of a performance board with unstoppable speed that accelerates after takeoff, making you feel like you've improved your surfing skills. https://vimeo.com/525404136 The beautiful and lightweight "LIGHT SPEED" looks pale blue in sunlight and pairs very well with the "California Twin," making it a recommended combination. It's so cool, isn't it?! Be sure to stop by Love Surf this weekend! Click here to hear "California Twin"!
