We went to Waco BSR in Texas, where the same WAVE POOL is about to open in Shizuoka!
I just got back to LA. I went to BSR in Waco, Texas. This time, LOST surfboards will be holding a test ride event. MAYHEM will adjust the board design on the spot. Because I was invited to an event hosted by LOST. Nishii is now riding the wave of this "American Wave Machine" system. This is my second time here, having visited a few years ago. The latest version of the same "American WAVE machine" will soon open in Shizuoka. So we hope to be able to hold a similar event in Japan. Since we were meeting, this was a good time to visit and inspect the facility. If Japan allows foreigners to enter the country, MAYHEM is fully prepared to come to Japan, We are currently planning MAYHEM, so please look forward to it! This time, people working at LOST were invited to take turns over the course of about a week. We took turns surfing and I was amazed at how good they were at it. The reason why LOST surfboards are so great and in such good condition is because everyone on the team loves surfing and is good at it. I will report later on what kind of boards they were riding. Hello everyone. This is Kohei, a staff member. This time, we took the PLACEBO RAD DIABLO 5'10" for a test ride in Minami Chiba! I thought it might be too much for me, 168cm and 65kg... The fin setting is a quad setting that works well for models with wide tails. *If you have a copy of "RAD DIABLO" or "RAD RIPPER" and feel that the movement is slow, please give this a try. PLACEBO's "RAD DIABLO" FLEXLITE-ULTIMATE2 is an all-around model that is easy to ride and is a DIABLO tuned version of LOST's "RAD RIPPER," a monster model that has enjoyed explosive sales all over the world, including Japan! The PLACEBO "RAD DIABLO" combines numerous 80's designs with cutting-edge designs to create a fun and easy surfing board for all levels! On that day in Chitose, the conditions were difficult as the head of the chest to shoulder set and the side off was very strong, making the surface a little shaky. Most of the waves were wide and fast breaking, with the occasional broken wave barely visible for a short ride. My impressions after actually riding the 5'10" PLACEBO "RAD DIABLO" are that the paddle speed is surprisingly fast, although of course the overflow size has an effect!!! The stability provided by the ``semi-beak nose'' and ``semi-flat deck'', which leave volume towards the nose, transmits the paddle to the surfboard without any waste, allowing you to take off with ease with very little effort to catch the wave. *It was raining and windy that day so I couldn't take any photos. The photo above is from a later date! Most of the people around me had a hard time taking off in a good position, and even when they stood up, the wave would close immediately and they would get caught. However, thanks to the fast paddle speed of the PLACEBO RAD DIABLO, I was able to take off from the peak of the wave with ease, so I was able to enjoy a long ride with a lot of action! Because it was an overflowing size, it felt a little heavy when moving, but since the PLACEBO is very light, it wasn't noticeable. When turning, PLACEBO's traditional elevator wing helps initiate the turn, the ``semi-staped rail'' makes it easy to put the rail firmly into the wave, and the ``FLEXLITE-ULTIMATE2'' gently flexes, creating high rebound that converts into speed. If you are about my weight and prioritise athletic performance, I recommend a 5'8" bike. If you want to ride lots of waves easily, we recommend the 5'10" board! The RAD DIABLO that I test drove this time is by far the best all-round PLACEBO model to date!
