I rode it again!! PLACEBO's ZEKE2.0 is in great shape!
Again, I'm riding a PLACEBO 5'5" ZEKE2.0 FLEXLITE-ULTIMATE2 Check out Nishii's surf photos! Nishii rode the previous model of this board, "ZEKE," I remember winning the Japanese surf contest in California in 2019! For Nishii, it was the "ZEKE" winning board! This "ZEKE2.0" is an updated model of the previous model "ZEKE". Both are operated by elevator wings. It's great that a thick board can move like a thin board. What has been updated to version 2.0? There are two main ones! The first one is, All fins are FCS2 fins, making it a 5-fin system. This means you can now use your FCS2 fins in a tri-fin or quad configuration, something that wasn't possible with the previous model. Of course, it can also be used with the MR TWIN + 1, which Nishii and Hiroki recommend as the best match for the ZEKE2.0 ! The second one is, It's a two-channel bottom! These two channels are located around the end fin at the very rear of the tail, where the most resistance is created. This reduces drag when water hits the fin and forces the water out of the board, improving speed. It's designed to let you surf faster than the previous model, the ZEKE, which didn't have two channels. One more thing to know is that the big difference between this and the older "GOBLIN" series, which is often compared to it, is that "Improved drive performance." The board outline of the "ZEKE" series is different from the "GOBLIN" series. The board has a long, straight outline in the center, It allows for more extended, larger drive turns. This is the secret to why the ZEKE2.0 recommended by Nishii and Hiroki works so well with the MR TWIN + 1. The board's outline allows for big, driven turns, but the fin setup also allows for agile, tight turns, making it possible to surf in a wide range of conditions, from big to small, from small waves to head-sized waves, allowing the rider to control the size of their turns as they wish, regardless of the wave conditions. We recommend the 'MR TWIN + 1' for the 'ZEKE2.0'!!

Learn moreCongratulations! Travel restrictions have been lifted! Here's a report on the "LOST & PLACEBO Surfboard" test ride.
The event was held on the first Sunday of the weekend after travel restrictions were lifted. This is a test ride report for the LOST & PLACEBO surfboard. The location was Chikura Beach in Chiba Prefecture. The event is hosted by the father of LOST surfboard team rider Anon Matsuoka. The company we run is DAKINI surf & beach. "ZEKE 2.0" "SMOOTHE OPRATOR" "SWORD FISH" "CALIFORNIA TWIN" ROCKET REDUX RAD RIPPER The waves were waist-high, so these six models were very popular for test riding. Among them, I rode on the "ROCKET REDUX" Both Anon and her dad praised it highly! The SWORD FISH has also received high praise from people who have tried out a number of different boards. It's based on the RNF-RETRO, so it's no surprise that Kolohe named it after it! We received a lot of feedback saying that even people with a heavy body or weak paddle skills can ride the ZEKE2.0 and catch a lot of waves! The monthly beach cleanup was also held, so everyone cleaned up the coast. Apparently, they haven't been cleaning the beach for the past few months due to the effects of COVID-19. According to a local resident who regularly participates, there was less garbage than usual. Maybe it's because people weren't using the beach! There were masks in the trash, but... Nishii took a break from the test drive and LOST surfboards team rider Anon Matsuoka was surfing so we took some photos. I'm currently sorting through the photos and will post them on this blog tomorrow! The next test ride event is scheduled for Sunday, July 5th at KI-SURF!
