Sho Kobayashi won the race riding the 2019 model "MAYSYM" currently under development!
MAYHEM is currently distributing the 2019 new model "MAYSYM" to the LOST team, who are collecting feedback and test data. Riding this model, he won the Special Class at the recent 31st Southern California Japanese Surf Contest! He was riding the "MAYSYM" and performing some incredible maneuvers while maintaining his speed. His younger brother, Kei Kobayashi, who is well known to everyone, also performed his signature air reverse. In the final, he was unable to beat his brother Sho in the overall score of the two runs, and came in second place, making it a showdown between brothers. The other day, I reported on this blog that Kolohe was riding the "MAYSYM" model for the first time, Later, Nishii also test rode the rumored model "MAYSYM". The "MAYSYM" model has different tail shapes on the left and right, The left and right turn performance and movement are different, It gives you a sharp surfing experience! It's easy to turn the board at the top on the front side and it rotates well! Kolohe is on tri-fins! Nishii is MR TWIN + STB, Sho Kobayashi drives a QUAD, so please take his preferences into consideration! Note that the mark is the model name "MAYSYM"!
Learn moreNishii scores consecutive 9p to win the Southern California Japanese Surf Contest!
I participated in the Legend Class at the 31st Southern California Japanese Surf Contest held last Sunday. Nishii won with a string of 9-point rides. I went to Church Point in Trestles many times to decide which board to ride. After testing the boards, I chose the 5'7" DIABLO-X CARBON WRAP, which suited the wave conditions. This board is really good and is currently sold out at Love Surf, but will be restocked by the end of October. We are accepting pre-orders now! The double springback speed increase function of the CARBON WRAP material itself helps There was one ride that the WSL judges gave 10 points. In the special class, the final showdown between brothers "Sho" and "Kei Kobayashi" was a sight to behold! I will report on the barrier next time! The photos taken on this day have been uploaded to the following link. There are so many of them, about 1,700 in total, that they are divided into two parts. 2018 31st Southern California Japanese Surf Contest [Part 1] 641 sheets https://photos.app.goo.gl/wAS5J76Co4R4YjW67 [Part 2] 1060 sheets https://photos.app.goo.gl/iepB1TMw499Xvgqm9 Please take your time to look around!
Learn moreI got to ride the brand new LOST "MAYSYM" test model!!
Freshly made! Asymmetrical tail shape! I rode the LOST "MAYSYM" model!! Because it is for Nishii's regular stance, There is a sharp hook on the toe side to drive, The heel side has a rounded shape with a rounded inward cut, so it turns tightly towards the back. The design makes turning left and right more efficient and easier without putting strain on the rider. In this first photo, The tail sinks down, making it easy to step in even on flat waves! This is LOST's new model "MAYSYM"! Nishii's MAYSYM board measures 5'5"! Look forward to its release as a 2019 model!

Luvsurf TV: LOST " POCKET ROCKET " Michael Rodriguez / J-BAY / 2018 Rider: Michael Rodrigues Board used: LOST " POCKET ROCKET " Pro-Formance FILM & EDIT: TABRIGADE FILM A Brazilian LOST team rider photographed at the 2018 WSL/WT South Africa event This is a riding movie of Michael Rodriguez. The LOST POCKET ROCKET Pro-Formance round tail is used to ride the excellent waves, which are large and hollow and break quickly. The waves in Michael Rodriguez's home country of Brazil tend to form tubes, so he's good at tubing. The wind was blowing and the J-BAY reef break made it easy to get the rails in even on hard waves. The waves allow the tail to step in, so I use a longer, rounder tail than usual. In waves like those in Japan, when you take off, the waves push up the board and it starts to slide. In order to keep running in waves with no power, you need a tail width or tail width, In a wave with a strong wave quality like J-BAY, the tail is narrowed to prevent the board from being pushed up too much. The tail-shaped board is easier to control. It can be said that the design of the board needs to be changed to suit the wave conditions. Now, check out Michael Rodriguez riding the waves at J-BAY. https://vimeo.com/288498049

Learn more13 years since its first arrival in Japan! Five reasons to choose "PLACEBO Surfboards"
Since "PLACEBO Surfboards" first arrived in Japan in 2018, Thanks to your support, 13 years have passed! Thank you very much! There are still some people who have not yet used the "PLACEBO surfboard", Let me explain why you often see people riding PLACEBO surfboards when you go to the beach. First of all, the FLEXLITE structure itself as a surfboard makes for a very comfortable ride. The board has a soft flex that is popular with Japanese surfers, so even those who are not advanced or have weak legs can enjoy it. This is because you can easily bend the board and gain speed. It's a great ride, so everyone continues to ride it. We have released many models over the past 13 years, There are many people who have been riding the same board for over 10 years! One of the reasons is that you can continue to ride it without the resin yellowing or discoloring due to sunlight. Another thing we often hear about is the good resale value. It has not discolored even after years of use, and it is durable so it will not be damaged easily, so the next rider will also be able to ride it. This is because you can purchase with confidence from PLACEBO Surfboards. The reason why people choose "PLACEBO surfboards" is because of the world's top shaper "MAYHEM", That's because the board was designed by Matt Biolos. To sum up, there are five reasons! *The ``FLEXLITE'' structure provides a comfortable ride! * Shock resistant and unbreakable! *Resin does not yellow or discolor due to sunlight! *Good resale value! *Designed by the world's top shapers! The more I learn about the shape design and board construction of the "PLACEBO surfboard", It's safe to say that choosing a PLACEBO surfboard is a smart choice!

Full of the latest information! Check out the unpublished photos of "LOST Surfboard" on 24's blog. "Griffin Colapinto" The board used by Kelly of the WSL in the Wave Pool was a Proformance carbon-clad board with an EPS foam center stringer. EPS foam boards are well suited to the wave quality of the pool, so many surfers use them. This is the 80's style image of the "Retro Ripper" model that was just released in the USA. We are currently developing an updated version of this Retro Ripper model that will be sold exclusively in Japan, so stay tuned! This is a photo of containers filled with resin tint colored resin lined up. As with this one, the natural art colors are beautiful! Boards that Kolohe Andino spray painted himself. These are the boards for the WSL/WT France, which starts on October 3rd. This is also true, Kolohe Andino's spray painting skills have been getting really impressive lately. The person who painted the board of 16-year-old WT surfer Caroline Marks (left) was Mayhem's daughter, Rider, is in the center. At Luvsurf, you can also specify a "rider" and have them hand-painted when you order a custom item. If you would like this, please specify it when placing your custom order! As the North Shore Hawaii season begins, MAYHEM invited Gerry Lopez, known as the god of surfing, to the LOST Surfboard Factory. Apparently he received instruction on how to shape a gunboard from "Jerry Lopez"! This will further improve the performance of the LOST surfboard gunboard!! This is an RNF board featuring the famous art from the nostalgic "LOST SUCKS." If you know this artwork, you must be a LOST fan for over 20 years! Nishii is interested in the CARBON WRAP version of " UBER DRIVER ." Nishii himself is doing very well with "UBER DRIVER," so when I asked MAYHEM why, he said, The outline from the nose to half is short round, The rocker halfway down from the nose is actually a ROCKET model! That's why, even though it's a PROFORMANCE model, it's so easy to enter the waves and takes off so quickly!
