LOST Japan Limited Edition Model " PUDDLE FISH-JP " Explanation Video by Designer "MAYHEM" FILM: Michal Van Mierlo EDIT: TABRIGADE FILM This is a Paddlefish JP, measuring 5'3"x20"x2.56" and with a CL value of 27 liters. The Paddlefish JP comes standard with a grab rail. Most of the boards sold exclusively in Japan are equipped with grab rails. Lost's grab rails aren't extreme. Long grab rails make the board less flexible and stiffer. The grab rail can be made lighter by removing foam from the nose area. It also makes the board move more smoothly. Because Japanese people tend to surf small waves, I tend to ride boards that have more buoyancy. But the grab rail makes it easy to dolphin through, It also improves agility and looks good. Paddlefish has been the best thing I've seen in the last six months. Last spring, I first got myself in shape and it felt great. Designed based on the Puddle Jumper I cut a half inch (about 1.3 cm) off the squash tail of a Puddle Jumper to create the corners and make a notch. It's called a "reverse swallow" and curves gently in the opposite direction to a normal swallow. And this part remains sharp. The channel runs parallel to the quad fin but widens towards the tail The channel gradually deepens and curves out to the tail. The combination of these three ideas is The outline of the tail end is squared, Match it with a reverse swallow and combine it with the R2 channel The combination of these three elements provides a solid ride and comfortable turns. And it has incredible acceleration. There is a sense of unity with the rails, giving the ride a solid feel. You can double your acceleration with your back foot and keep putting in the rail. It's a really fun board to surf. A wide variety of fin combinations allow for a variety of riding styles I combine MB keel fins , Young surfers also ride with three fins. I also saw a surfer who looked good riding a twin fin and stabilizer combination. Anyway, it's a fun board Personally I ride with 4 fins. The bottom where the front foot is located has a deep concave. This is the rail locker. The strong rail rocker makes it easy to turn even on narrow faces in small waves. The outline has been slightly modified, with a straight line near the center. It has a pointed nose There's a bit of a straight point in the outline, which gives it the essence of a classic fish outline. The outline is less curved than a puddle jumper. This straight line stabilizes the accelerated turn. Anyway, it's a fun board It's like a hyper-man version of Fish, who can cruise and catch waves with ease. Sorry for the long wait everyone! It's been a while since we last saw Chucky! This is a new riding video of the popular Blue Eye character. Of all the PLACEBOs I've ridden, He says that this 5'7" V3-ROCKET is his favorite board. Chucky says that the new material "FLEXLITE-HYPER," which was released in 2017, has the best rebound and performance. It is said to be the best Precebo board material to date. I've been riding various pre-made board materials for many years, Only Chucky, who has ridden the same model and size of bikes, can make such an accurate comparison! Indeed, Chucky's signature move, the front side slash lip, is very sharp! Now, please take a look at the riding video of Chucky on the PLACEBO V3-ROCKET FLEXLITE HYPER. https://vimeo.com/216629067

Luvsurf TV: LOST 『RNF-REDUX』 CARBON WRAP Koji Nishii Rider: Koji Nishii Board used: LOST 5'5" RNF-REDUX CARBON WRAP FILM: Michal Van Mierlo / EDIT: TABRIGADE FILM. This is a riding video of Nishii riding the RNF-REDUX CARBON WRAP. The RNF-REDUX is Nishii's top recommended model! To put it simply, what kind of board is this? "It's a board that takes off as fast as the DIABLO and moves as fast as the POCKET ROCKET." If you paddle faster, you can make the board thicker, wider, or with less rocker. This sacrifices maneuverability, but you don't feel that at all with the RNF-REDUX . Overall it's a well balanced board. It is suitable for the wave quality in Japan, except for extremely large waves with a long distance to the bottom. You can ride waves that can be dug on reefs or beaches. If you're a LOST MAYHEM rider, be sure to ride it someday! Dane Reynolds, If I could only have one board, this would be it. The RNF is a masterpiece of Mayhem's history of surfboard design. The latest version is "RNF-REDUX" ! The following was posted on Luvsurf's Facebook page: These are some honest opinions about the RNF-REDUX model. As expected, it is said that the take-off performance is also good. Please use this as a reference whether you are considering it or not. -------------------------------------------------- Mr. A I thought I was being tricked when I got it, but this board is seriously amazing. Mr. B Why do I have to deceive you? Mr. A It's just a matter of words. I'm truly grateful! Mr. B That's seriously crazy! Mr. A On the morning of the 6th, I was stationed on the outside, hoping to catch a set wave, when a young friend of mine, who was waiting a few meters further inside than me, jumped in front of me. The young man said, "I thought there was no way I'd be able to catch a wave from that position. My left knee is not in good condition, and I'm not at my best, but this is a great way to make me forget about that. Mr. B Rider Hiroki and others were surprised to see him riding a wave that had no signs of breaking at all. Then, he was doing a lip where his fins came off. -------------------------------------------------- [vimeo]https://vimeo.com/216434154[/vimeo] Reservations and purchases can be made here! http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/store/category/item/itemgenre/lost_board/rnf-redux/ For inquiries about board sizes, please call 03-3732-5532. Learn moreReleased! Luvsurf TV: LOST 『RNF-REDUX』 Designer "MAYHEM" explains the video
Yesterday's blog was about the popular "RNF-REDUX" model. An explanatory video by the designer himself, "MAYHEM", has been released! Luvsurf TV: LOST 『 RNF-REDUX 』Explanatory video by the designer himself, “MAYHEM” FILM: Michal Van Mierlo EDIT: TABRIGADE FILM This is Lost's one-of-a-kind model, the Round Nose Fish Redux. The Round Nose Fish is Lost's oldest model line. You won't be surprised Round Nose Fish has been around since 1994 and has undergone many changes and evolutions. The latest version is Redux. There are no major design changes, It feels like a small improvement has been made. 5-fin setup comes standard The fins are positioned a little further back than a regular board, It's a fin placement like a retro twin. So if you're riding with four fins, it's best to use a combination of larger fins and stabilizers. You can also ride it with twin fins, It's even better if you add a stabilizer to the center in addition to the large twin fins. The fins are positioned further back than on a regular board, High level surfers do well with regular three fins. The biggest feature of this Round Nose Fish Redux is its nose line. The fifth generation round nose fish that was released previously had a rounder, more voluminous nose, The Redux has a more tapered point nose, making it closer to the early round nose fish released in the 90s. However, they have adopted the Wing Swallow technique, which they have been using since 2000. We re-examined and blended data from round nose fish, which have a long history. I changed the outline curve little by little, The Round Nose Fish Redux is an evolution of RNF's design philosophy. Watanabe Ikko, commonly known as "Ichi", has a board that is 4'7". On this day we surfed straight onshore, riding the swells created by the wind. For an adult, it's about the size of the waist or abdomen, but for Ichi, it's about the size of his chest and shoulders! Currently working with POLY from "DRIVER" I use this ``POCKET ROCKET'' CARBON WRAP in different ways when riding. Apparently, the "CARBON WRAP" has been going well recently, and he's been riding it overwhelmingly more often. He said that the rebound is so great that it lets you surf without slowing down. Certainly, the optimally calculated flex of "CARBON WRAP" is unique. The double flex provides excellent speed acceleration in small waves and beach breaks. It shows more evolution. The stock board of "CARBON WRAP" is In 2017, we will make it more affordable than in 2016. Learn moreIt's still going on today! It's been three weekends in a row! The second Chiba DEMO tour has started!
There had been small waves during Golden Week, so I was wondering if there would be any waves on this day, but On the day, when we arrived at the venue, the waves were bigger than expected. The test drive will be held next to Kanpo no Yado. Many customers were waiting before the event started. The boards set up. Some people who come to test ride events don't know about the "ALIEN" model, but once they test ride it, they start asking, "What's the name of this model?" That's how good the "ALIEN" is in not only good waves, but also in bad waves like Japan's onshore waves. Our staff member Yuji, who was on a Golden Week break, also came to help out. He will be appearing on his own proud personal board, the "V3-STEATH." Yuji recently custom-ordered the "ANCHOR" wetsuit I added a printed pattern to the sleeve line. It looks pretty good. The model is "JIEI" and the zipper is a back zipper, so It has a stretch zipper that allows it to stretch and contract. This person has ridden many different boards, but he likes the V3-STEATH. He recently ordered a custom LOST board, and this model is so fast, light, and fun to ride that he wants to buy another one as soon as he has the budget. LOST team rider "Ichi", who calls this area his home, also came along to join us. He said he's been riding this 4'7" "POCKET ROCKET" CARBON WRAP a lot lately. This test drive event will be held until May 7th. On May 6th and 7th, in front of the "KI Surf" store, We offer free board rentals, so please come and test ride! 0479-63-3319 2778-127 Higashiashiarai, Asahi City, Chiba Prefecture (Northern Chiba, near Asahi and Iioka Beach) Love Surf's physical store will also be open during Golden Week! Learn moreAn ordinary man becomes a LOST "RNF-REDUX" CARBON WRAP!
Hello everyone. I'm just an ordinary guy. The last time I wrote a manuscript was after the New Year last year, so I've been slacking off for over a year. http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/24sblog/?cat=61 During this time, I bought a Lay's Potato Custom Black Dart 5'6", a Bean Bag 5'2", and a Diablo Spartan Carbon Wrap 5'10". I've been buying a lot. The Diablo Spartan has a fast takeoff and makes paddling out and dolphin boards easy. It's very useful in bigger waves. However, recently, I finally got the RNF-REDEX carbon wrapped 5'7" 30.0cl delivered to me, and when I rode it, I was so blown away by how amazing it was that I was in shock, rolling around in my arms and getting a nosebleed, so I thought I'd humbly like to write a report on it. I read that Dane Reynolds said, "If I could only have one surfboard, it would probably be the Mayhem RNF," and I thought, "Hmm..." but Nishii-san, too, "This is the best Lost board I've ever ridden." So I thought, there's no way I'm not going to ride it. The carbon wrap for the RNF-REDUX is booked up for several months in advance, but the poly model was recently in stock. First of all, I'm 170cm tall and my weight hovers around 69-70kg. Maybe it's because of my age, but paddling is tough. I've had some fascial release and feel a bit better. Also, I gain weight easily, so I always refrain from eating my favorite carbohydrates. My level is in the old man class at Love Surf competitions, and I make it to the finals, but I only get third or fourth place, and it's tougher than that. lol My lower body is thinner than my upper body, so for the past year I've been working hard at the gym twice a week and have gained 6cm around my thighs. First, my first impression of RNF-REDUX Actually, this is not my first time buying an RNF. Starting with the original RNF (twin + stabilizer) I bought about 20 years ago, I've bought a fat 5'10" Shape board, a fat 5'10" and 5'8" Abiso boards, and a 5'6" Presebo board. I've probably bought about seven boards in total. I generally quite like round boards, but this RNF-REDUX is not round. After a long search, I found a photo of the first one taken with a flip phone. The photo was too small. So, the latest model is REDUX, and compared to the older model, the volume is a little further back, making it closer to a normal board. Looking at it like this, it looks like a normal board. No, that's too good... This is what it looks like when you hold it in your hand. The volume is a little more forward than a normal board, but the nose is a little pointy. As for the fins, I thought about buying MR fins, but I actually had a now-defunct Kinetic Racing twin + stabilizer that I bought a long time ago, so I decided to try using those. The center stabilizer of the Kinetic Twin+Swaybar is larger than that of the MR. It's about the same size as the back fin of a quad. It's pretty cool. Of course, since it's not FCS2, I used a " spacer ". So, I set this up and hurried off to Chiba Minami. First, takeoff... Super fast!!! Even though it's a 30cl, it's faster than the 31.5cl Spartan. It's particularly strong in thick waves, and it feels like it takes off really smoothly. I've always thought that the Raise Potato had the fastest takeoff speed of any board with the same cl rating, and this feels no different. However, because my head isn't round, I'm definitely faster to paddle and easier to dolphin than the 30cl Custom Black Dart Raise Potato at 5'7". So, when I first got on the board, I thought, "What?" The board rose slightly and vertically (in my opinion). Somehow, I've gotten better??!! That's the feeling. It's not like skating on a lathe or a bean bag. It feels like riding on a normal, sharp board, and it moves incredibly sharply. There's no slippery feeling at all. However, the center stabilizer is large, so it feels more like a Tri-Standing. So I replaced only the center stabilizer with an MR one. This one is definitely better. It's amazing, it's amazing. It's definitely the best board I've ever ridden. Maybe I'm just thinking that way, so last weekend I lent it to fellow rider Hiroki (who's the same weight as me) for about an hour, telling him not to let it get him down. Hiroki, riding like crazy!! He's just like that. He's riding waves that seem like they'd only be long enough to break, and he's riding them with ease. After he gets on, he accelerates like crazy and takes off, with his whole board popping out onto the wave. "Feeling like a Mason on someone else's board is outrageous!!!" As expected, when he returned, he had one thing to say: "This board is amazing. It moves just as quickly as the thin boards used in competitions. With those thin boards, it's really tough if you're young and don't have the paddling power, but what's so great about this board?! With this, you can enter a competition, ride from the back, and win." In a nutshell, it's a competition board, yet it has an incredibly fast takeoff. If you then ride the 31.5cl Diablo Plus, the volume and length make it fast to paddle, but it also feels a little sluggish. That's the extent of the difference. Of course, the Diablo is a Mayhem masterpiece, incredibly straightforward and easy for anyone to ride, but the RNF REDUX is a model that misleads older guys into thinking they've become skilled and can surf with incredible speed. Of course, this magic wears off after a while, so occasionally riding a different board before returning can bring a new level of excitement. Honestly, the trick of swinging your arms from the top turn and turning 180 degrees is actually quite easy with the RNF-REDUX. Give it a try. For those at a moderate level, the RNF-REDUX will change your world once you try it, so be careful. I rode it up to about half my head, but if it's over my head, I think a quad would be more stable. Even if you're not yet at the level where you can do lipping, I think it would be good if it's a little longer and has more volume. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Please refer to the Ordinary Old Man Report. Nishii has been riding LOST MAYHEM for 20 years, "This is the best Lost board I've ever ridden." Nishii's story is true. The next shipment of "RNF-REDUX" CARBON WRAP stockboards will arrive in mid-May! Some sizes have already sold out, but the next batch is scheduled to arrive at the end of June.
