New Luvsurf TV release! LOST "DRIVER" Griffin Colapinto at US Open 2018
Luvsurf TV: LOST " DRIVER " Griffin Colapinto US OPEN 2018 Rider: Griffin Colapinto Board used: LOST " DRIVER " Pro-Formance FILM: Koji Nishii EDIT: TABRIGADE FILM This is footage of Griffin Colapinto, who made a stunning debut in the WSL/WT in 2018, at the 2018 VANS US OPEN. He is a serious surfer who can use rails in surfing among WT. He is still a very young player, only 19 years old, which is equivalent to just graduating from high school in Japan. Even in small waves, you can make deep tracks using the rails, and He has the skill and high success rate for air reverse, which he uses as a maneuver that he is not afraid of failing. To connect the waves at Huntington Beach, other surfers slapped their boards and bounced around, even in the thick, slow sections. It's amazing to see it doing rail turns! He is also a leading player for the USA Olympic team in 2020. Watch future WT World Champion candidate Griffin surfing a small beach break.
Learn moreJapan's first! "American Wave Machine" Waco Wave pool - Explaining the four types of waves!
BSR SURF RESORT "American Wave Machine" in Waco, Texas During his two-day stay at the Waco Wave Pool, Nishii spotted four different types of waves. Each wave occurs approximately once per minute. This tower is in the middle of the pool and there is a person in charge of controlling the waves. When you perform a move, various sound effects will be played to liven things up! One is "Beginner WAVE" This is three waves at a time, peaking in the middle of the pool. This wave breaks and comes out split into right (regular) and left (goofy) waves. This is a wave that can be ridden with only a softboard, and is great for a large group of beginners. We didn't do it in the LOST team session. The second one is "Barrel (Tube) WAVE" This is an hour-long session, with 30 minutes of regular (right) surfing and 30 minutes of goofy (left) surfing. Three waves appear each time, but only the first one turns into a barrel from the takeoff, while the other two do not. The second wave is a wave that can be ridden normally, with ups and downs and rips, while the third wave is similar to the second wave, but even smaller. Only the first wave is for practicing barrel (tube) riding. The third is "Medium Wave" These waves are suitable for average surfers and Nishii found them to be the most fun. Three waves appear every hour, 30 minutes on the right (regular) side and 30 minutes on the left (goofy) side. These three waves are moderately hollow and have what is generally considered a good wave shape, making them perfect for practicing lip surfing. Yago, Mason, and M-ROD all managed to do air reverses on these waves. The waves on the left (goofy) side were a little different, and some were even able to get into the barrel. The fourth one is "Air WAVE" This wave is perfect for expert air surfers, with a hole and fast breaking. The air section appears from the front, designed for a single air. This wave also appears in 30-minute right (regular) and 30-minute left (goofy) waves every hour, but only one "air wave" appears. After taking off, you gain as much speed as you can, and then when the hole-hole air section appears, you do an air. Surfers who can't do an air have to roll in or do a roller coaster up and down before they can do it. The power of the hole-hole air section makes it difficult to land an air wave. Yago and M-Rod both broke their boards after hitting the air section. The boards suitable for use in the waves of this pool are high performance boards. Yago, M-ROD, and Mason all said that the UBER DRIVER , DRIVER , SUB-DRIVER, and POCKET ROCKET were working well. The waves were full and powerful enough to take off, so you could stand up in just three strokes, and no buoyancy was necessary. EPS blank boards are clearly better suited than POLY boards because they have better bounce response and can instantly reach high speeds. Nishii used the 5'7" UBER DRIVER . Mason also rode the RNF-RETRO C4 skillfully, landing some huge air maneuvers. Kelly's pool is apparently going to be built in Kisarazu, Chiba Prefecture. I hope this "American Wave Machine" can be made in Japan too!

Learn moreNishii, currently in California, reports on new information about "LOST Surfboards"!
While in California, Nishii is developing new models at MAYHEM and the LOST Surfboard factory. We exchanged various ideas, put them into designs, and created prototype boards. Do a test ride. Demand has been increasing in recent years We are also currently developing a new EPS special wooden center stringer board. The SABO TAJI is a new model. It is designed for big waves, so it may not be suitable for everyday riding in Japan, but it is a noteworthy model that can be custom ordered for those who travel to Indonesia and other places. This is a test board for developing a new single fin model. Nishii has been test riding it for a few months now and it's awesome! This is a RETRO that LOST riders will be paying close attention to in 2019. This model is in limited supply, with stock boards arriving in Japan only three times a year. The third board is currently being airlifted and will arrive at Love Surf within the next week, so look forward to it!! This photo is an old mark, In 2019, we plan to see many new marks from LOST and MAYHEM!

Learn moreIt took about 11 hours from Haneda Airport to LA Airport, and then about a 3-hour flight to Dallas Airport. It took about 2 hours by car to get there!
From Haneda, it was an 11-hour flight to Los Angeles Airport in California. It's a three-hour flight from LA Airport to Dallas Airport in Texas. I met Mayhem at Dallas Airport, who had just flown in from San Diego. After a two-hour drive in a rental car, we arrived “BSR Cable Park” SURF RIDE WACO Wave Pool Texas is about twice the size of California and is the second most populous state in the United States. Apparently gun ownership is permitted. Apparently there is a law that allows you to shoot at anyone who breaks into your home. So everyone has cancer in their car and in their home. Unlike California, the houses are all one-story and the land is large, and they keep buffalo and horses. My family was having a barbecue in front of our house. And the cars were all pickup trucks. Here are some photos taken by Nishii of Mason, Yago and M-Rod. They are amazing at air jumping in the ocean, He said that if you use the machine web at the pool here, you can jump higher. The waves are almost constant and the air section always breaks down in almost the same way from the front. I just kept picking up speed and trying out different variations of airs. Among them, "Yago Dora" had a high success rate and the air quality seemed to be one level higher. He is truly one of the world's leading air surfers! The photos taken by photographer Michael Moorer, who I introduced on my blog the other day, have been uploaded. I just saw it at the Lost office, and it turned out to be a really cool shot, with some great photos. We'll let you know when they're released! When I tell people I've been there, they ask me why the pool water is that color. This color is said to be a color that prevents the growth of bacteria in the water. In fact, the water was odorless and tasteless, and so pleasant that I didn't even need to shower after surfing.

Chucky has been riding since the previous film, Goblin, was released three years ago, The speed performance of R2C (2 channel) has been added to the "GOBLIN-Sprint", He rides waves of all sizes, even overhead waves! The wave quality varies from waves that have been crushed by onshore winds to Solid overhead waves at reef breaks We also perform turns where we hold the lure at the bottom and drive it. "GOBLIN-Sprint" is suitable for all rider levels, depending on the wave quality. This board design has excellent control, allowing you to effectively communicate the line you want to surf and the intentions you have while actually riding the wave! Presebo's hugely popular hit model, the Goblin-Sprint , can be ridden by surfers of all levels, from those who have moved beyond beginner level to experts! The limited edition " FLEXLITE-LIMITED " deck features a shining silver metallic gradient color. In order to increase strength compared to the same model " FLEXLITE-HYPER ", If you look closely at the deck, you will see that it is made entirely of "TEXALIUM," a material that is visible as white lines.Texalium is strong and has a smoother flex than carbon, and the torsion bar located in the center of the bottom adjusts the board to provide a high level of control and ease of maneuverability. https://vimeo.com/287762907
Learn moreThe best boards for "City Wave Tokyo" and tips for conquering it!
I went to City Wave Tokyo , which opened in Sporu Shinagawa Oimachi! It's a much talked about wave pool that opened in Shinagawa Oimachi, Tokyo. I asked Love Surf's official photographer, Uehara-san, to take some photos of the lighting there, so please take a look. City Wave is a deep pool where you can practice your turns repeatedly using a realistic surfboard with fins, which was imported from Germany. It also helps you to concentrate while riding the waves. It opens at 7:30am and has hourly sessions, with the last session at 9:30pm. Nishii had never river surfed before, but it seems that if he thinks of city wave as river surfing rather than ocean surfing, he will be able to do it well. There are three wave levels: beginner, intermediate, and expert, but experienced surfers can start with the expert level. Up to 12 people can take turns riding the waves for 50 minutes, and you can ride around six waves. Unlike ocean surfing, city wave surfboards do not require buoyancy for paddling or takeoff. Also, the board should be short, have rocker, have a narrow outline, and have a thin, narrow nose and tail. I think it's best to keep the buoyancy as low as possible, about 5cl lower than your usual board, so that you can ride more smoothly once you get used to it. A board with a clear edge in the tail area makes it easier to turn without sliding or wobbling. For the first 2-3 runs, practice your balance as you try to find the best position on the wave to skate in, and once you can do so without falling, try turning. Even a pro surfer will fall if they try to turn on the first run. I think you can't suddenly insert the rails unless you've done it a few times, For first-timers, try to balance with the weight on the tail and avoid rail turns. I think it will work well if you imagine moving left and right from that spot. Nishii's board is a 5'9" F1 23cl model. For city waves, it is recommended that you start by riding two or three soft boards that you can borrow for free, and once you have mastered your balance, you can ride your own board. It seems that many people have been hitting their boards against the walls on both sides and breaking the noses. If you move suddenly, you'll lose your balance, so move slowly to get a better ride! Boards with wide, flat rocker noses and tails are not suitable for city waves. A board with a sharp, rockered design like the LOST "POCKET ROCKET" model is perfect! If you go below the white City Wave marks on both sides of the pool, It will stall and be pulled up, so try not to go below the City Wave mark. The trick to riding it well is to do so! If you go a few times, you can enjoy long rides that would be impossible in the ocean! Reservations can be made online! Sporu Shinagawa Oimachi " City Wave Tokyo " https://www.sporu.jp
