New Luvsurf TV: LOST 『BEACH BUGGY』Taji Burrow Taji Burrow 2013 Sep
Luvsurf TV: LOST "BEACH BUGGY" Taji Burrow Rider: Taji Burrow Board used: LOST MAYHEM "BEACH BUGGY" FILM: Koji Nishii EDIT: TABRIGADE FILM This photo was taken at the WCT contest held in San Clemente, California, in September 2013. It's a collection of riding videos. Taji's performance improved with each round, and he rode in every heat. Before the contest, he abstained from alcohol for about three weeks, and while surfing with MAYHEM, he got 18 boards. "BEACH BUGGY" was created while we were working on it. The "BEACH BUGGY" model is a rough wave board from Mayhem, which became famous overnight when Taj Burrow won the WCT. Like in this video, the board floats well even on rough waves, and yet still allows for the fast, sharp movements that competitors demand. This is one of Mayhem's new masterpiece board models. Repeated powerful and sharp slash turns, By selecting only the best waves, he can hit higher points than the strong competitors. Watch the surfing that led LOST MAYHEM surfboards to their first WCT victory at their hometown event, LOWERS. [vimeo]https://vimeo.com/77658769[/vimeo]

Luvsurf TV: LOST 『SUB-DRIVER』 Kolohe Andino SEP 2013 Rider: Kolohe Andiono Board used: LOST 『SUB-DRIVER』 FILM: Koji Nishii EDIT: TABRIGADE FILM At the WCT/HURLEY PRO held in Kolohe's own hometown of San Clemente Lowers It's a collection of riding videos. Kolohe's signature model is the "SUB-DRIVER," which has a low rocker. It's a style of surfing that skillfully expresses strength and weakness. In this video, pay attention mainly to the left hand while riding backside. Before going from the bottom to the top, in order to raise the movement of the board vertically, The left hand swings from bottom to top, leading the board. That's why you can pick up speed and make successive turns like this, even at the top, that produce spray. Try imitating the movement of this fin, which is aimed from the bottom, removed, raised and rotated. There's more backside riding than usual, If you're not good at backside, take a good look at how Kolohe leads his board and body with his left hand. Just remembering this in the ocean and consciously riding backside will You'll notice a dramatic improvement in your backside riding. Now let's take a look at Kolohe's riding. Luvsurf TV: MAYHEM "DRIVER" POLYESTER ADAM MELLING Rider: Adam Melling Board used: MAYHM 5'9.5" 『DRIVER』 POLYESTER FILM: Koji Nishii EDIT: TABRIGADE FILM Look, these are the legs of an athlete who has worked hard to build thick thighs. He is a famous athlete who trains extremely hard. I have been using MAYHEM drivers since 2012 and love them. The thing I would like you to emulate about his surfing style is his low posture. Even if you can't do his riding style, which always involves bending your knees, If you can surf while keeping a low profile, you will be able to make deeper turns than you can now. A low posture creates a turn, so when you release the tension, the board is released. It increases speed. To put it in perspective, it's like submerging an inflated beach ball deep in water, then letting go and the ball pops up. By instantly pushing the board deep and letting it sink, you can turn and the buoyancy will help extend the turn. This is an example of riding that shows how keeping a low posture can be effective in any situation. Even in this position with the fins removed, the board stays attached to your body. Now, take a look at Adam's low-slung surfing. [vimeo]https://vimeo.com/77274263[/vimeo] Posted by Luvsurf .

Today we held a test ride event hosted by "KI Surf". In northern Chiba, the weather was cloudy with occasional light rain. A large number of KI Surf customers who had been looking forward to this test ride event came to the event. Seeing this corkboard for the first time is sure to be a hit! The ORCA is the same board as the one shown on the model introduction page on the website, so you can tell at a glance. The Luvsurf website is also informative for women, so it's fun to look at! I was surprised at how knowledgeable he was about each model of LOST. Couch potatoes were excited, saying, "I wonder what it's like? I want to try it out!" and the round-nose model was the most popular test ride. The pointed nose board became famous after Taji won the WCT. This Mayhem classic, the "BEACH BUGGY" model, is extremely popular! Jumbo has the largest size, the 6'3" RNF-EVO model. It looks like a normal size. It's incredibly stable and you can catch a lot of waves! It was highly rated. The waves were big enough that we were able to do a series of tube rides on the estuary waves. Thank you to everyone at KI Surf for joining us for the test ride today! The next test ride will be held on Sunday, October 27th, at the same time as the Love Surf Cup entry event. The deadline for entries is tomorrow, October 20th. Click here for more information. Posted by Luvsurf .

Learn moreThe hugely popular "Ordinary Old Man Series" saw the three Lay's Potato Brothers take on Shonan on Sunday!
24'S Blog's hugely popular "Ordinary Old Man Series"! Please see the report: "The three Lay's Potato Brothers took on Shonan on Sunday!" == ... Pro Nishii, Rider Hiroki and an ordinary old man took on the challenge of the three Lay's Potato Brothers in Shonan on Sunday. Hello everyone. I'm just an ordinary guy who has become strangely popular since appearing on this blog, and now I'm getting called out to sometimes, which is a bit of a problem. My custom order for my secret weapon, the "LAYZ POTATO 5'7" was completed, so I decided to take on the crowded Shonan area on a Sunday with pro surfer Nishii and fellow rider Hiroki. A pro, a rider, and an average guy. You can only truly appreciate a model by comparing the best, best, and regular eels, or the pinnacle, bamboo, and plum varieties of sushi. It's only natural that a pro can surf with a board or a snow shovel (isn't that obvious??). First, let's talk about the Raise Potato. I've written about the Couch Potato before ( click here ), and frankly, the Couch is the best shortboard for takeoff. However, my Couch is 5'4" with a cl value of around 30, and I was able to ride it up to just above my head. Anything more than that and you couldn't see anything under your feet when taking off. It felt like I was noseriding, which was a bit scary, and the fate of short boards is that while the paddling speed is fast when dashing, paddling long distances is extremely slow. When the waves get big and you have to paddle all the way to the peak, it's really tiring. A very short board is especially tough when the surface is flapping. So I wanted something a little bigger that I could ride, but I didn't want to sacrifice takeoff performance. So I immediately ordered the Raise Potato. When I received the Lay's Potato, I was astonished. It had the deepest double concave I'd ever seen. In fact, the middle was so clearly raised that it looked like a speedboat! I assumed Mayhem had designed it to improve maneuverability by increasing the length, but I'll explain later in this article that this produced an unexpected effect. Anyway, I arranged to meet up with Nishii-pro and Hiroki (who was due in full term, but wasn't actually the guy) at Shichiri before dawn, but they never showed up, so I headed to Inamura by myself. The waves were head-over-head in size. There was a tournament at Shonan Junior High School, so it was less crowded than usual, but the Goofy waves were early. Since it was my first time using a board, I got hit by a couple of them, then three big ones, and then I saw the two of them near the shore, so I got out. To be honest, the waves were big and powerful at this point, so it felt like any board would take off quickly. This is the prototype of the Lay's Potatoes. 5'5" x 20" x 2 3/16" 26.82cl This is Hiroki today. He's gained weight recently and looks to be around 70kg, but he's a rider. Nishii Pro is 60kg and purple/green, 5'5" x 19 5/8" x 2 1/4" 27.5cl Looking at the specs alone, Pro Nishii is too cunning...lol And mine is an old man's size, weighing 69 kg 5'7" x 19 7/8" x 2 3/8" 30.5cl Three Couch Potato Brothers Now, as for the waves... They were fairly fast, with regular belly and chest high waves, occasionally shoulder high. Or rather, they were a bit of a damper wave coming in thick and slow from the outside. Most people were getting caught. Frankly, I'm a goofy surfer and I'm not very good at it. But then Pro Nishii burst onto the scene. From an incredibly fast takeoff... It's already flying away... I rode it a lot, It goes through almost all the damper waves at super high speed. People around me were saying, "There's this really skilled guy, but he's riding a board that looks like a kappa," and I couldn't help but laugh. It's kappa-colored, of course. But even watching from behind, his speed was incredible. Even pro surfer Nishii seemed amazed, saying, "This board is amazing. Should they sell it as a damper-only model?" (That's probably an exaggeration...) He was able to get through waves that were sure to be closed, and he was able to ride them so easily that the crowded peaks quickly disappeared... But his takeoff was incredibly fast, and then the board accelerated like it was attached to a jet engine. I think it's probably the combination of the deep double concave and the outline that's so well-matched. I could clearly feel it even at my average level, which is well below the top-tier level. Wow... so fast!!! And Hiroki, who is in his last month of pregnancy, is a prototype. He is also free-spirited. Lips and floaters And we even decided on the altitude of the air. Hiroki and I swapped boards midway through the ride. I weigh 69kg, but I was able to ride the 26.82cl without any problems. You have to get into a good position, though, but with light summer clothing, it should be fine. I think that an advanced rider with good paddling power would be able to comfortably ride a 70kg board with this size. But personally, I find the 5'7" board more comfortable. And Hiroki did a deep bottom turn on my board. I don't want people to say I wasn't on board, so here's just one photo as evidence. This is regular eel, so you can expect this to be about right. In conclusion, the Lay's Potato is an amazing board. It's a little difficult for me to spin around like the Couch, but the speed is incredible. You can take off from the back even in deep waves, and the takeoff is incredibly fast. I think it's especially suited to slow, fast breaks. Because it's a little longer, it was easier to dolphin than the Couch. I'd like to tackle waves above chest height with this. By the way, the tint color is incredibly beautiful. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What did you think of the report on the Ordinary Old Man series "LAYZ POTATO"? Please take a look at this whether you are considering the "LAYZ POTATO" model or not. Once you ride it, you'll understand that the feeling of this board really moving is something special. It's no surprise that it takes off quickly, but it also reaches high speeds, as if it's floating once it stands up. On this day too, he was struggling to catch the waves on a competition board with a thin point nose, and it was because he had chosen the wrong board. There were a lot of people surfing. For those who can only surf one day a week, there is a board like this. You'll be able to ride more than you do now and surfing will be even more fun, so don't push yourself and don't be put off by the round nose and give it a try. The last time we received it, it was sold out in a flash, and until recently we only had one bottle left in stock, We just received some resin stained colors and clear stock boards for the "LAYZ POTATO" model in store. Starting tomorrow, they will be available on our website and online store, so don't miss out! Posted by Luvsurf .

Learn moreThe number of users is rapidly increasing! "FU WAX" WARM and COOL are almost sold out!
Nishii went to Kamogawa Marquis to watch the final day of the JPSA finals last Sunday. So, many JPSA PRO surfers came up to me and said, "We use FU WAX!" Even legends of the surfing world have commented, "Oh, Nishii, that wax is amazing! I use it!" What a nice shout out to me. (Matt Wilkinson) In the original Brazilian "FU WAX" We have officially welcomed Alejo Moniz, the 2013 US-OPEN champion, to our team. (Brett Simpson) I have it in my car too! (Dane Reynolds) FROM Instagram This is a selfie of the surf accessory case I took to Europe. And this week, I received a support offer from a promising young PRO. I had heard that another young professional was also using it, so I offered to buy it. "I'm very happy because WAX is doing really well!" I received a reply, and the sponsorship contract is now underway. So, look forward to the announcement of FU WAX's Japan team members! FU WAX is now a necessity even for a BIG WAVER like this! Wax is a must-have for surfers, so being able to use the best wax is essential for your best surfing. Once you use FU WAX, you will no longer feel comfortable using previous waxes. It is such an excellent surf wax that anyone can experience it. (Potts & Peter Mel) It's getting chilly and the water temperature is dropping every week, so I'm going to peel off the wax I applied in the summer. Please repaint it with new FU WAX. You can purchase it here. http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/store/11847/ The WARM and COOL colors are almost sold out, so it's first come, first served!!! Posted by Luvsurf .
