Please take a look! ==================================================== Hello. I'm an average guy. I currently weigh 67.4 kg. By the way, rider Hiroki gained weight from happiness and has now slimmed down to 70kg. Well, have you ever wanted to try riding two different models with almost the same CL value on the exact same wave? I have. This time, I pulled out Hiroki, Presebo's "El Diablo" 5'8" x 19.75" x 2.38" 29.3cl ※This is a borrowed item. And my "Crazy Potato" by Polly from Lost 5'7" x 19 3/4" x 2 5/16" 29.13cl Before that, I would like to talk about my riding history. Last summer I bought a Lay's Potato Poly 5'6" I thought this was the perfect board for me. Before the Lovesurf competition , I bought a 5'8" LOST El Diablo , which everyone recommended. I went to the competition without any preparation, and I was surprised that most of the finalists were on the LOST El Diablo . It was a first-time failure, as I wasn't used to using that board (lol). However, after riding it a few times, I got used to it, and spent the whole winter riding the LOST El Diablo . It takes off incredibly fast, can handle anything from small to large waves, and has incredible vertical movement. It's a completely different board from my previous LOST Conquest /PLACEBO Tablet 2. That was also an amazing board, but the sharpness is completely different. And with the same CL value, the El Diablo takes off even faster. It's truly the best. Hiroki also said, "As long as I have the El Diablo, I don't need anything else. It's amazing." However, as early summer arrived and my body began to feel lighter, I began to wonder if it was okay to rely solely on the El Diablo . So I bought a 5'7" poly Crazy Potato board . It's a hybrid board with a Short Round front half and a Raise Potato back half, and when I'm waiting for waves it just looks like a Short Round . The Short Round board for competitions has a tough takeoff and is too tough for an older guy like me. The Crazy Potato has a cool " short round " look. The newly released Precevo El Diablo has almost the same CL value as this, at 5'8". It is much thinner than a polycarbonate of the same length. When you line them up, the overall lines are quite different. "Crazy Potato" is a little rounded, but "El Diablo" is quite sharp. After that, he rode my 5'7" Crazy Potato and we rode together for a few hours. And here is the conclusion of the comparison ■ Takeoff "El Diablo" is fast! The "El Diablo" takes off faster than the "Crazy Potato" which has a rounded tip. Amazing ■ Vertical movement El Diablo has the advantage When you ride the Crazy Potato , you can't decide whether it's a Raise Potato or a Short Round, but the conclusion is that it's closer to a Short Round . In short, it's a Short Round that's easy to take off... However, since it was originally a board for skating, it is good at fluttering gracefully, but the "El Diablo" moves more crisply. It's a matter of personal preference. The cutting is as different as the difference between a sashimi knife and a vegetable knife. Dolphin The sharper the tip, the easier it is to use "El Diablo" ■ Paddle "El Diablo" is fast This clearly shows that El Diablo is faster. This makes you realize how amazing the El Diablo really is, and it is. However, as someone who likes the fluttery feel of quads, I prefer the feel of the Crazy Potato . Of course, the original Raise flutters more, but because the Raise has a rounded head, paddling becomes slower when the surface is rough. Also, when the wave size increases, the Dolphin becomes difficult. So, for those who want one board for all-around use, the Diablo series is definitely the best. And if you want a slightly more fluttery ride, I think the Raise series is a good choice. If either one is warm, it won't paint well. *To create the base, first apply "BASE". The Nishii method is to paint carefully and without gaps, like painting a picture, so that no areas are left unpainted with "FU WAX" . Apply FU WAX by pressing it horizontally from the stringer to the rail for about 20 to 25 cm. Once you have applied the FU WAX to the entire board, press it in the same direction vertically for another 20 to 25 cm. If you have been riding a POLY board for a long time, there will be dents and dents. If you try to flatten the dent with "FU WAX" , there will be areas left uncoated. It's a good idea to make the corners slightly sharper as shown in the photo so that the FU WAX can get into the recesses. This is the amount of "BASE" used after applying it vertically and horizontally. Apply approximately 1/4 to 1/5 of the amount to a regular shortboard. This is just the right amount. *As a mid-coat, Apply "TROPICAL" on top of "BASE". It feels like you are applying it thinner than when you apply "BASE".
