Learn moreNew Luvsurf TV: “DRIVER” Aaron “Gorkin” Cormican
Luvsurf TV: LOST "DRIVER" Aaron "GORKIN" Cormican Rider: Aaron "GORKIN" Cormican Board used: LOST "DRIVER" FILM: Koji Nishii EDIT: TABRIGADE FILM Aaron Cormican, also known as Gokin, participated in the 2012 HURLY PRO as an invited player. This is a collection of riding videos. All riding is on the DRIVER model. Gorkin put his hands in the water to balance himself, pivot for turns, He puts both hands in the water to keep his balance. This way of using your hands can serve as a model. This is because if you focus on putting both hands in the water, your riding posture will be lower and you will be able to surf with better balance. Gorkin makes full use of the rails on both the backside and frontside when turning, which creates a lot of spray. Now, check out Gokin's latest surf clip! Learn moreNew Luvsurf TV “WHIPLASH-TB” Adriano De Souza!
Luvsurf TV:MAYHEM『WHIPLASH-TB』Adriano De Souza Rider: Adriano De Souza Board used: MAYHEM "WHIPLASH-TB" FILM: Koji Nishii EDIT: TABRIGADE FILM Adriano de Souza, a Brazilian surfer who draws unique and unpredictable lines with his fast-moving surfing, This is a collection of riding clips on Harley PRO from the 2012 WT Tour. It's fun to watch the energetic Latin surfing style as the surfers move and fly around on the waves! He has a powerful bottom turn and a fast and sharp return on the lip. Always twist the nose of the board as hard as you can until it's pointing the opposite way. In the 2012 season, he won the J-BAY WT event and seems to be doing very well. The WHIPLASH-TB model's speed makes it the perfect model for his unique style of action. I mainly ride MAYHEM boards because I love this model. His lip action from a deep pause at the bottom to a steep wave is very similar to the petite Japanese physique, so use him as an example. Learn moreComparing QUAD and TRI fins, is WAX better for traction?
The south swell continued, The waves were smaller today but this was enough. The ROCKET is currently being tested with the Word 5 fin, quad and quad fin back fins. I tried riding with a tri-fin set on the center fin. Quads are thicker and the rails lean more easily on the slope of the waves, without the board getting caught. The turns are smooth and it's easy to pick up speed on the upswing. The tri-fin setup with a smaller center fin made the turn at the top looser and the board turned over more easily. Since the movement is centered around the tail, the lip action causes the board to move at a sharp angle. See the wax being applied to the traction in this photo? Applying wax to the traction pads will increase grip. That sudden slippage will be reduced. Kelly and many other skilled riders apply wax to their traction. Of course, I also applied top wax to the ROCKET I rode today. Please give it a try!
Learn moreCalifornia "Japanese" Surfing Contest
It was held at Church Point in Tresates, San Clemente, California. I went to the Southern California Japanese Surfing Contest. LOST and Luvsurf are also sponsoring this event. This contest has been running for 25 years. A historic surfing contest Mainly, Japanese surfers who live and work in the vast state of California, This is a fun surf contest event where you can bring your family and get together once a year. Masaki Kobayashi, father of Sho and Kei (center), is the organizer of the contest. It's an event with a fun atmosphere, The main booth is two stories high like this, The event will be conducted using ASP's judging system equipment and judging staff. The judge writes the score on the board. Then, when you input the riding score into the keyboard machine, The results are calculated and displayed on the monitor where the MC is located, and the current ranking is displayed. For example, it will automatically calculate and display the number of points needed by each person to make a comeback, such as "How many points does the red bib require to make a comeback?" Luvsurf's San Clemente branch's "Tatsushi" Luvsurf's US exclusive photographer and Murasaki Sports rider "Hide", Luvsurf's USA staff and team rider, SHAW K, will also be participating. Learn more"Boardroom Show" MAYHEM Open Shape Seminar
Today's Nishii is, Held at the Del Mar Fairgrounds I went to the Boardroom Show. Chucky will be the MC for the event's webcast. We would like to introduce you to the Lost Booth, decorated with colorful boards. It's from the left side. It's from the right side. A prototype of the bamboo deck. This board really caught everyone's attention. Apparently the bamboo is stained. Mayhem believes that even if it has a long lifespan, it still needs to be test-ridden. New LOST surf skate! It must be a penny killer. MAYHEM was bombarded with autographs from visitors from all over the world and was unable to move. The man holding the board is Steve, the warehouse manager at LOST Surfboards. Next to him in the hat is Taylor, the representative of FCS. Terry, the familiar airbrush craftsman, This is Nishii. The featured Mayhem is At this event, you can listen to the speakers with microphones attached in the special shaping room. We held a public shape seminar. Of course, there are some things to be careful of when finishing the board. How to use this tool effectively, I was even told where I bought it. I don't need an all-hand shape, By making good use of digital technology and cutting foam with a machine, It can be sold in the same market as the Magic Board, If you can reduce the time it takes to finish one board, It gives me more time to spend with my family and take my kids to Knott's Berry Farm. The seminar was a great success, with plenty of Mayhem-style jokes thrown in. We hold seminars like this one where we openly share our shaping techniques and skills. LOST surfboard shape designer "MAYHEM" This very open approach to business is highly rated in the surfing industry.
