MAYHEM designed the surf skates from scratch! Available next spring!
Today we're in the San Clemente area where the waves are small. The UPPER trestle looks like this: The waves are small but the shoulders are long. This is when "SPEEDQUEST" really comes into its own. In the afternoon we had a meeting about Mayhem and LOST surf skateboards. The final sample prints have been completed and we were able to see their quality. And to the person who designed it, We asked them to explain the design of each model in detail. By applying and adapting surfboard designs to skateboards, They say they adjusted the outline and camber (rocker) of each model. No matter which model you look at, the design is unlike any other skateboard manufacturer. It's completely different. As expected from Mayhem Design! It has a beautiful, three-dimensional design like a surfboard. My dog Brody seems to love the RNF design... This surf skate, designed from scratch by a shaper, will be released next spring! Stay tuned!

Trevor, who joined LOST the other day, is also busy. I was working with the huge Joe packing and shipping surfboards. Boards in the paint room that are currently being painted. This is Andy's homemade paint board. Apparently, two colors of paint were rubbed in with a sponge to create the color. Meeting with all staff to discuss the 2010 LOST surfboard catalogue. It made me realize that there are days like this in California. There are no waves around San Clemente today. Today at the Lost Factory, we are preparing for Christmas vacation. The final work is progressing at a rapid pace. Customer boards and team boards sent to Japan It's overflowing in the factory, LOST seems to be busier than usual this time of year. Learn moreFirst reveal of the "ROCKET" POLY Prabolic Stringer board!
First reveal! ROCKET POLY Prabolic Stringer board! Today's LOWER trestle. This is the UPPER trestle. The direction of the swell is better with UPPER trestle, I went surfing here on UPPER Trestle on the SPEEDQUEST. This "SPEEDQUEST" was developed for small waves in Japan, Once you get used to it, it's extremely powerful and you can ride any size wave. Go to the Lost Glass Factory When I checked the board during the lamination process, Gokin's Goquette model, Word's Stealth Board (Unfortunately, I lost at PIPE and will be out of next year's WCT tour...) There are many team boards, including Mason's F1 board with a wider tail, There was only one of them, I discovered this "ROCKET" POLY Prabolic Stringer board! This is a model/material that has been delayed in production and is being sent to Japan. This is because US Blanks made a mistake in the production of the form and had to remake it. We apologize to customers who have made reservations for the delay in delivery, It will definitely be ready, so please wait. This board was still waiting to be sanded, The FCS/FUSION cups will also be sanded soon. There was an extremely short board in the factory, and when I looked at it, I saw that it was Kei's board. The length is 4'6" and the model is stealth! After seeing Ward's Stealth and Kei-kun's Stealth, I wanted to ride a Stealth.

Here's the latest information on "Lost Surf Skate," which will be released next spring! 30-inch Bullet 44-inch GUN 38-inch Scocher This is "ROCKET" photographed during a meeting at LOST yesterday. This locker and Mayhem designed the tail design and deck concave. The truck is not a sliding type that is popular nowadays. It has a 45-degree angle and does not bear the Randle Truck brand name. They say they will be using a no-brand carving truck. Carving track performance is listed as a Randall brand. The reason is that nothing has changed, Also, if you use a no-brand carving truck with no brand name, This is because it allows them to lower the selling price offered to customers. The sliding front truck that is popular in Japan slides and turns inward. The rails bend easily without tilting inward. Unlike the railwork movement that is inherent in surfing, He said he doesn't use it because it makes the turns look fake. It's no wonder it was designed and developed by a surf company! In this way, Mayhem actually created various trucks, deck designs, and wheels. After combining and testing them, he reflects the results and creates his own original designs. Surfskates have a design and performance that makes them ideal for practicing surfing, unlike any other surfskate. He just won Shaper of the Year. No. 1 shaper "MATT "Mayhem" BIOLOS" The surf skates, which were personally tested and developed for surfers, will be released next spring!
Learn moreI investigated the slow-to-finish board ``XTR.''
It had been raining since morning, but the weather cleared up in the afternoon. The waves were like this, but there weren't many people and it was pretty empty. Today we're going to talk about Epoxy Pro, a company in Oceanside. We went undercover at the XTR factory to investigate some of the slow-finishing boards. We have received custom orders and reservations from customers who have been delayed in completing their orders. Check the finish of the board, I instructed Babiar at XTR to prioritize finishing the slower boards. This is the XTR 3D CARBOLIC before the XTR glass lamination process. These boards were brought in from LOST after their shaping was completed. The standard setting, FCS FUSION plug hole, was also opened with a special tool like this, The FUSION plug is installed inside the XTR glass, making it strong. "XTR 3D CARBOLIC" Kevlar carbon is built into the rails A close-up photo of the process. As you can see, compared to regular POLY boards, the production process is more complicated and involves more steps. It takes time and money. However, the more effort you put into it, the better its durability and performance will be. These are the newly completed "XTR 3D CARBOLIC" boards that will soon be sent to Japan. These will be sent by air from CA to Japan next weekend.
Learn moreKolohe's dad, "Dino and Dino" boss, appears!
Today's waves were not as big as the biggest in 40 years, The size was just right. Offshore and clean face. The shoulder to right continues endlessly. Mayhem is a test of the new board from Brandt, released in 2010. This is a thick board for small and thick waves. The waves are good, so Kolohe's father, Dino Andino, We decided to invite him. Mayhem is also one of the Anchor Wetsuit users. This is a blackout color version with a black mark. After coming out of the water, we started talking about boards while looking at Kolohe's board. This goes on and on, but that's our job. Regarding Kolohe's recent sponsorship of TARGET, According to his father Dino, who also serves as his manager, It seems that no decision has been made yet, and Nike, REDBULL, and current main sponsor Billabong have also said that they absolutely do not want to let go, so they are currently proceeding with discussions with each company very carefully. (This board is Dino Dad's Scorcher)

Today we sneaked into the LOST surfboard warehouse. There, a newly completed Gokin's There's "Scorcher" This is the one that was ridden in Kolohe's Love Surf riding video. There was one inside Magic after I had finished riding Scorcher. Kolohe is supported by Black Line. I'm sure you already know this, but take a look at the wax that's applied to this deck grip. Among expert level people, I also apply wax to the deck grip. The back stance will be much less slippery, If you are surfing with a clean deck grip, Next time, be sure to apply wax before surfing. This is a Mayhem model released in 2010. This is a model called Motivator. It has a thick eagle nose shape and a round nose line. The tail is like this rocket tail, but it's getting thinner. The deck side has a round tail. This is the model mark. The board design was like a combination of a round nose fish and a rocket tail.
