When will the much talked about Conquest model arrive???

This is the progress of the production of the stock board for the popular Conquest model. According to a message from Mayhem: The Conquest board form has finally arrived in the shaping room. They said they will quickly get it in shape. We had originally planned to hold the event in May, but It looks like it won't be available in May. I'm sorry. We would like to inform those who have made reservations that there will likely be a wait. The boards will be completed one by one from mid-June, It looks like it will be available from the end of June at the earliest. Mayhem is also excited to finally get his own new Conquest board shaped. The Conquest is thick and short, so it can't be shaped using pre-made foam, so it has to be custom made. We will also be updating you on our progress on this blog!

Just a little renewal!

Today I went to the headquarters of FAB, my sunglasses sponsor. While having a meeting with my boss Yamaguchi about the new project, I was given an early look at the DVD that will be included as an attachment to SURF1st magazine, which will be released at the end of this month. This DVD is a linked DVD to the magazine, and contains footage of Nishii's recent research trip to Lombok. It contains more footage of the Round Nose Fish QUAD riding than I expected, so I urge everyone to check it out when it's released! You can see the unique, smooth lines of the RNF-Q that don't get caught!! It's clearly different from the other tri-fin and squash tail riders! This photo shows a FAB t-shirt and cap that I received as promotional material to wear myself. What do you think? Isn't it cool? The pink print has the rather radical phrase "FUCKED AT BIRTH" printed on it. Of course, the same product is available in Love Surf stores too! The surf section wind signs have been renewed! We've made the Precebo and Lost logos into 3D logos! Everyone, please come and see it! The photo shows Kabachan and Omatsu-kun during installation. keep it up??!

Won the WQS contest on a QUAD board!

Finally, or rather, at last, the winner of the contest has been revealed in QUAD! What's more, it was a WQS event held in Trestles, California. CJ Hobgood won the race using this trendy high-performance QUAD. Check out the videos and photos here! http://www.surfingthemag.com/events/surfbout/07/video.htm Demand for quad boards in Japan is still in its infancy, but in California, where the sport originates, demand is shifting from the neo-quad boom, which features four fins on a fish-style board template, to high-performance quads. Speaking of Lost, it's the SD4 model! Presebo's Gorkin was also in the contest. According to information from the local area, there were many other riders competing in heats using QUADs. Tri-fins are good, but QUADs have different advantages than tri-fins. QUADs with performance that can be used in competitions will likely be released one after another in the future. Kelly seems to be testing the QUAD quite a bit, so I think he might use it in the WCT soon. I expect so. I heard this story from someone who asked the owner of a surf shop they usually go to what QUAD was like, and was disappointed when he said, "I don't know because I've never ridden one yet." This means QUAD boards won't become popular. Apparently, new models from manufacturers that the shop carries aren't even available in stores. I feel a bit sorry for the club members. I hope you all try riding a QUAD board soon! Nishii highly recommends QUAD!

Check out the footage we shot yesterday!

Yesterday, I went to Total Video Service to check the footage I had taken. The purpose was to check the performance of the newly released AUROLA 4.2 For QUAD fins through video footage. The slightly larger AUROLA 4.2 back fins designed for this QUAD board made the turns much bigger and the speed increased as seen in the video. What do you think, if you have a QUAD board? It's really in great condition! These fins hold even with lip action, so we were able to see in the video that you can turn with all your might. Even if you think you're doing well, sometimes it's not that great in reality, but by checking the video like this, you can see how it really is, and whether the board is moving and producing speed, and check the performance of the board and fins over and over again. Thanks to Toku for taking the photos! Today, Mr. A, who had placed a custom order, came to our store to pick up his board. It was a WHIPLASH model with XTR specifications, but the board that was completed was the wrong thickness. The board you ordered has been cancelled. Sorry, Mr. A. So, we found a board that was very similar to the one we ordered from Stockboard, so we asked him to ride that one. With Love Surf, you can rest assured even if you order a custom item and it turns out to be the wrong size!

We tested the back fins for the new AUROLA 4.2 QUAD!

Another update for those of you following the blog! Today I tested the back fins for the new AUROLA 4.2 QUAD. The front is AUROLA 5.1. The fins we tested this time are larger versions of the back fins for the QUAD that have been on the market for some time. This release is aimed at those who want more drive and want to ride big waves on the same quad board. It is larger than the AUROLA 5.1 back fin, so it holds turns better and provides more drive, making it suitable for deep, large waves. The waves we tested were a clean beach break with shoulder-high waves and overhead tubes, and an onshore break with choppy waves and thick waves at high tide. My turns were extended and I picked up speed, and I was able to ride through the waves faster than anyone else who was surfing at the same spot! The fin performance was as expected and as per the concept! Sales start tomorrow, May 10th! Back fins for AUROLA 4.2 QUAD First, Clear and smoke black for FCS, Clear and smoke black are now available for the Future center box. The price is ¥8,800 (excluding tax) for a set of two. We also have a QUAD set of 4 with 5.1 front fins and 4.2 back fins! For FCS, there are two colors available: clear set and smoke black set. For Future (for center box), there are two colors available: clear set and smoke black set. The price for a set of four is 16,800 yen (excluding tax).

Is the last day of Golden Week Ladies' Day?

It was raining in Tokyo today, but on the last day of Golden Week, we were visited by a group of aspiring female surfers who were just starting their careers as surfers. This is Mr. M, who purchased the beginner's model "EDICATE" recommended by Love Surf. This beginner had a hard time even putting the cute pink board into the knit case, but he took it home with a smile on his face. This is Mr. K, who decided to take up surfing on his way back from the beach in Katsuura, and ordered his first custom wetsuit. The color is a combination of navy and red, and he is really looking forward to seeing the finished product. At Love Surf, we support beginner female surfers as the weather and water temperatures get warmer in the coming season, so please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have about boards, wetsuits, and gear!

It's Golden Week, so let's have a photo session!

During Golden Week, I went surfing with a bunch of friends for the first time in a while, but all the spots were crowded, so I decided to just take some photos of the friends. These are some photos from today's photoshoot. What do you think? These are some pretty good waves! I used an EOS digital camera and lens. I think you can see how good the waves were today. Today, three custom-made Cyber Wetsuits were completed for Mr. M, a hardcore surfer who works as a train driver in front of Love Surf and makes an annual trip to J-BAY without fail. They are a S/S Topper, a L/S Topper, and a Seagull. At Love Surf, you can even custom order special order wetsuits like this!

XTR-specific deck grip?

I received an interesting message from Habiyar, the owner of Epoxy Pro, the company that makes XTR boards. It seems that Habiyar is currently developing a deck grip specifically for XTR boards. He sent me a photo of the sample that was ready. The reason why this deck grip is made specifically for XTR is that it is designed to be cut so that it can be attached around the small holes in the vent system that are drilled into XTR boards. And what Habiyar is most particular about is that there is a notch in the kick part, which allows the water flowing over the deck grip to hit the kick part, preventing resistance - a world-first idea. This is a product that Javier, who is also an active top AM competitor, is passionate about, so we are looking forward to its release. This photo is of Javier.
