Today is the arrival day!
Today is surfboard arrival day! A ton of surfboards arrived from California! AVISO, which was previously in short supply but is now booming in popularity, is now available in large quantities! Even if this item arrives, it is already reserved and we are unable to introduce it on the website. We also have dozens of parabolic stringer boards in stock!!! (There's more than just the photos!) There are also plenty of custom order boards! (The Planet Nose Mark is very popular!) The models that arrived were very diverse, and the box opening work was done in rainy weather. We managed to complete it with the help of all the staff. But there is one more step to go before it can be sold. From now on, officially imported boards will be inspected for pinholes that allow water to seep in and areas that have not been sanded properly. Then, after secondary processing such as filling in the air bubbles around the fin cups, reinforcement and repair, It will appear in stores and on the website. This detailed work is possible thanks to the discerning eyes and skills of our highly professional staff, who inspect over 1,000 surfboards a year. For this reason, to ensure that there are no complaints from customers who have purchased our products, officially imported boards will begin official import inspection and secondary processing starting tomorrow! If you're going to buy a Lost board, you want one that's safe to buy and use, and is a trusted, officially imported board!
Learn moreRNF-Q filming is underway!
We followed the swells of Typhoon No. 2 and went to shoot a riding video of the RNF-QUAD. Unfortunately the waves didn't get any bigger, but I was able to take some photos of smaller ones, about waist-high and about belly-sized. We were able to record several rides that will give you an idea of how well the board performs in waves this small. As expected, QUAD allows you to pick up speed from the very first turn! QUAD allows you to glide your lips firmly even when they get tangled in curls! Shinbou from Colors will also be appearing today! Of course, the board you're riding This is the Presebo 5'8" Gokin' Quad! This is advice from Shinbou and I to anyone who is thinking about riding a QUAD board. Surprisingly, larger fins make it easier to hold on to turns both at the bottom and at the top, and they don't slide too much even with lip action!
Learn moreIt was recorded on a commercial camera.
I introduced it on my blog yesterday. The riding photo image was blurred, but the actual image was It was recorded with this amazing professional camera. This is a set of two of the favorite cameras of Toku-san, the president and cameraman of Total Video Service. It is difficult to publish images as beautiful videos on a website, The riding recorded by this camera is in high-definition quality that can be used for TV broadcasts. This is Total Video's secret weapon: the hard disk recorder. Until now, riding has been recorded on DV tapes, but by connecting this hard disk recorder to a video camera, it is now possible to record for up to 5 hours continuously! And the secret weapon is that when you press the record switch, it will record your riding from up to seven seconds ago. This means you'll never miss a takeoff!
Learn moreConquest laminated mark!
Enter the Conquest model surfboard, We have obtained a photo of the laminated mark, so we would like to share it with you all. The three rocket marks, which represent the image of a board, are for surfboards. The many small logos lined up around the Conquest rocket mark are the logos that are laminated onto the Conquest fin. The logos that are laminated onto these surfboards are printed with silkscreen ink onto extremely thin rice paper (washi paper) and then sandwiched between the resin and glass cloth of the surfboard. Recently, Japanese inks have become popular in the USA. The reason is that when epoxy resin is used on the white printed parts of the USA-made mark, they turn yellow, but Japanese-made marks do not yellow. (Note: There are no Conquest boards that are compatible with epoxy resin.) Japanese-made wetsuits are said to be the best in the world, It seems that Japanese-made surfboard mark printing is the best.
Learn moreFLAVER 6 Rider is Christian F
Introducing our newest wetsuits from the brand FLAVER 6. The rider is Christian Fletcher! This is the brand's icon mark. The catalog design is also great! The cover of the catalogue features Christian riding an AVISO/RNF!! There are so many cut designs that it's hard to choose. There are so many colors to choose from! They ordered a wet version of Flavor Six, a new product from the brand. This is A-san. This time I ordered two items: a Seagull jacket and a short sleeve wetsuit. Thank you! Would you like to order some too?
Learn moreThis is a board by 『Bethany Hamilton』
This board that Mayhem owns belongs to female surfer Bethany Hamilton, who lost an arm in a shark attack. The reason it's in Mayhem's shaping room is that she was so happy with the board that she brought it to Mayhem and asked him to make an exact copy. What's more, this board wasn't actually shaped by Mayhem for her; it was a board for another customer that was shaped to the wrong size. She saw it, liked it, and rode it, and it was a magical board. It seems that the movements you normally do while surfing with both arms are difficult to do with just one arm. She apparently uses this strap to duck dive (dolphin dive). He is a very skilled surfer sponsored by Lost and Rip Curl, and I would like to emulate his positive spirit, as he continues to surf without giving up even after losing an arm.
Learn more5/16 Nishii is in Ilago!
Today I'm in Ilago, Aichi Prefecture for surfing school! Unfortunately the waves were small, but the Precevo surfing school went ahead without a hitch. The key point is that the place is private and everyone is enthusiastic about running the school! All the participants were intermediate or above, and I gave them a lecture on how to ride a Presebo surfboard. As expected, quads are the most popular. Here are some snaps of today's participants. The waves looked like this. Hoping to get a bigger size tomorrow!!
Learn more5/17 Today I was in Ilago, Aichi Prefecture for surfing school.
5/17 Today I was in Ilago, Aichi Prefecture for surfing school. Today, after the heavy rain last night, the rain stopped by morning and the waves got bigger. We were able to run a fulfilling school. The school ended successfully, and here are some snapshots of the waves at the spot where we surfed in the evening. It was a fun wave because of its size. I updated my blog from the Makinohara Service Area on the Tomei Expressway and am now on my drive back to Tokyo. I'll go home while watching the DVD movie SIDE WAY!
