Learn moreCOLOR BOX 2 Premier Party
You can watch the WCT races held at Trestle every year with riding scores. A launch party for COLOR BOX 2, the hugely popular surf DVD series, was held in Tsujido. The venue is a restaurant bar in Tsujido. There was also a large turnout from local industry members. This is Takaichi from Taburi Gate Film, who is the photographer and editor. I came to the venue on a temporary return from CA. Mr. Okuyama, who is in charge of sales at DUKE International, the distributor of this DVD, said, He declared on the microphone that he would sell 3,000 bottles!!! Isn't that a piece of cake? I think we'll sell 5,000! To the fans who can't help but buy this DVD every year, It will be in stock at Love Surf on July 10th!
Learn moreFinally, I got my hands on the first Conquest to arrive in Japan!
Mr. M, who looks just like Chris Ward, came to pick up his custom-ordered WCT. It's an XTR5.C with bottom color. Thank you for waiting! This is Mr. N's family. Mr. N is a big fan of the RNF, and has gone from the RNF 5'8" to the RNF-Q 5'9"XTR. He said this will make takeoff even faster! (The previous RNF 5'8 is on the right.) It comes with an Aurora Guard to prevent the tail from breaking. This is Mr. S, who made a reservation and we've kept him waiting for a long time. I purchased a CL-PRO6'2" that had the bottom painted in the trendy neon orange base color. And finally, it was Mr. U who got his hands on the first Conquest to arrive in Japan. When I called today, they came to the store right away, and I was so impressed. He was so moved he kissed his 6'1" Conquest! For those who have pre-ordered the Conquest, we will be informing you in the order of pre-orders as soon as they arrive, so please wait for a little while longer. New stock is expected to arrive every week! Thank you everyone!
Learn morePresebo 5'8" AC-QUAD
Mr. S came to pick up his Presebo 5'8" AC-QUAD. Mr. S bought a Christian Fletcher model from Lost 10 years ago, and he still has that board. The model with the rail concave deck is one of the very few Lost models produced, making it extremely rare. Today, FAB's top salesman, Mr. Okuyama, came to visit us. The product shown in this photo is a sample of this year's fall collection. I'll show it to anyone who reads my blog. These products will of course also be available at Love Surf, so stay tuned!
Learn moreToday is AVISO DAY!
Every day at Love Surf, many people come to see the actual Conquest boards. Mr. N, who came to reserve the Conquest, Check out the newly arrived 5'11" AVISO RNF-Q He purchased it immediately. Mr. O chose the 5'8" RNF, a cool, flat, black carbon color board. Apparently, he saw AVISO at the beach, wondered what that board was, looked it up and discovered Love Surf. Although there are no photos, Mr. H purchased the 5'6" RNF Japan-exclusive color, which will be in stock in a few weeks, and asked us to send it to him as soon as it arrives. Today was a very popular day for AVSIO. Thank you everyone!
Learn moreComputer surfboard design
This is a photo I took the other day at Mayhem's office, where they showed me the Conquest board design on a computer monitor. I used a software called Surfcad. The top of the screen shows the lines from the side of the board, and the bottom shows the bottom concave. In this way, he makes daily modifications to improve the design. Mayhem is the type of person who acts immediately when he comes up with an idea, so If I come up with an idea, I'll probably design a board here. Digital data for each model is stored on a disc. This is where we store data on the boards we shape for our team riders. I'd like to see them all. This photo is of him hanging in Mayhem's office. Isn't this carving and style pretty impressive? Well done, Mayhem!
Learn moreAVISO RNF-Q
For all of you who regularly follow our blog, we will be releasing photos of the AVISO RNF-Q before they are posted on the site! As expected, the nose and tail are wider than the three-fin RNF. The tail in particular is about an inch wider overall to accommodate the four fins. The RNF-Q also has a slightly smaller rocker curve. This board is 5'7". This is the quad set of MRTX fins that comes as standard equipment. For those who want to see the actual Conquest board. You can see the actual boards at Love Surf from July 3rd. Nishii returned to Japan on July 2nd, and his personal board will be on display in the store from July 3rd, so if you would like to see the actual board, please come and visit us. We highly recommend that those who have been thinking about making a reservation after seeing the actual board come and see it. For those who are unable to visit the store due to distance, we will post the photos below. We have received many inquiries about the thickness of the Conquest board. The real thing is so thick.
Learn moreConquest is riding Mayhem today too!
Today we are shooting with the Conquest's dedicated TRI fin setting. Mayhem turns around and looks at me, saying, "Don't miss the ride!" It's okay, I'll take pictures of everything! The location is Cottons, a point in front of Mayhem's house. It's high tide so the waves are thick. He did a great job. The waves were thick, making it difficult to take off, but Mayhem was on the shoulder compared to the surfers further up the peak, and the surfers further up the peak couldn't ride the wave even if they paddled after it, but Mayhem used the buoyancy of the Conquest to take off. When we emerged from the water, he said, "The roundhouse cutback was easy thanks to the elevator wing." In the afternoon, the Lost Skate Party will be held in San Clemente. Lost team professional skaters came. The members were: Pat Duffy, Paul Machnau, Kyle Berard, Danny Fuenzalida, Adam Dyet and many more. Mayhem is in charge of grilling the hamburger meat. I was happily shouting to myself, "I'm the BBQ champion!"
