Back to ASR!
First, we went to Middlesborough for some early morning surfing. The waves at Trestles were just as good as ever, the gentle waves making you feel like you've improved your surfing. By the time we came up, it had become super low tide, so we went slowly, being careful of the boulders, shells and sea anemones. This is the pass that lets you enter the ASR venue. I went there again today. Contrary to expectations, the Firewire booth was completely unpopular (the booth in the foreground). And the always popular and crowded AVISO booth (in the back). At the Lost booth, there was a Precebo surf skate model with a shape design. Rick Rock (the guy in the blue T-shirt) was there. The two guys on the left in the black T-shirts were We are promoting a new form called Knife Form and a new fin system. If you're involved with Livedoor, you might know who this person is. Your Japanese is very good. He oversees Presebo surfboards. A commemorative photo with sales manager Freddie. He's a big guy. We met Mr. Enomoto of Harvey Fletcher Surfboards, who makes longboards using the same Flexlite method as Presebo, and took a commemorative photo. We made a firm promise to work together to spread the word about Flexlite. This is a commemorative photo with Leaf Girl. Leaf Girl is facing backwards. I wonder if it looked good in photos?? That was the day.

We headed to Salt Creek on a sunny day for our first round. The waves were bigger than yesterday, with west and south swells. The board is of course the Precevo 5'8" QUAD Go-kun model. The second round is on the lower level. I recorded the sound of waves on my i-pod. The swell had just started to come in so it was pretty empty. The waves look great too! I was surprised when the foreigner who was the best came out of the water. Oh, that was the movement of the QUAD... I was impressed that the QUAD could be ridden in such an aggressive way, so I used it as an example. A bicycle with a surfboard carrier that I got for this trip. Now we're closer to the trestles.

Mayhem is at the Lost Booth, and he's still there, tending to the constant stream of people who come in. It's going to be busy all day. The surfboard booth looks like this. As always, he was demonstrating painting on a board. A bird kept upside down in a lost booth. The AVISO booth looked like this, with a black carbon table and a great atmosphere. On the right is the new 6'4" model. This is a model that Mayhem developed for himself. It's a double wing swallow tri-fin. A commemorative photo with the AVISO staff. From left: John, Brenton, and RS. Everyone, I'll be at the booth again tomorrow at 1pm for a meeting! Next to Mayhem is Michael Peterson. I also met Chris, who seemed to be doing well and said he was looking forward to the contest being held in Japan again.
Learn moreCALIFORNIA has arrived!
Nishii arrived safely in California! When I see the pier, I feel like I'm in California. Does anyone know which beach this pier belongs to? Anyone who doesn't live there but knows this is a real California expert. What makes California sunsets so beautiful? The gradation is beautiful, isn't it?

Love Surf, San Clemente Chapter Chief, Tatsushi (Placebo 6'0") To Grubbs on Salt Creek, The waves were in perfect conditions to try out the pre-wave Gokin Quad. Wow, this board is amazing! This board is definitely going to be my main board for my next Lombok trip! It's a masterpiece from Mayhem and Gokin, as you'd expect! It's fast, sensitive, moves easily, and has no quirks in control! Another QUAD has been added to my favorites! At the XTR factory, Epoxy Pro, a truck full of XTR's latest product, the two-rail stringer known as the Parabolic, was delivered, already shaped. I found two Cory boards, and they were parabolic! I also found a Shea board! It's also parabolic!! As predicted, we are seeing the parabolic era coming! Lost's first green rail. This is an EPS Marcoform parabolic! Mayhem is checking it out! (It's a prototype) The model is SD3!!! The SD3's tail is a standard double wing swallow!!! This is the new 2007 model, the SD4, a versatile shortboard that can be ridden with either tri-fins or four-fins. This board comes with a diamond tail as standard. This is a balsa rail epoxy board that is still in the prototype stage, and it will be used to follow up on the Firewire. This is also a prototype balsa rail with a balsa deck and epoxy round nose!! This was an introduction to the cutting edge of Lost. It was a day that really impressed me with how amazing Lost is.
