Morning surf at Upper Trestle

Today I went surfing first thing in the morning at Upper Trestle in San Clemente. We walked with the surf buyers from Murasaki Sports to the point. The two representatives from Cyber Wetsuit joined us, For some reason, even though it was Saturday, there were very few people surfing, only about 10 people. Everyone can ride as many good waves as they want. The reason why there were so few people there was because heavy rain was forecast this morning and the water temperature had dropped drastically and was very cold. Such a vacant upper wave, It was a fun wave like this. The board I rode was a PLACEBO CL-PRO 5'10". It's been a while since I last rode a Flexlite, The unique bending and stretching of the turn felt great! PLACEBO is of course in great condition even in authentic trestles! There's a storm coming tonight, so what will the waves be like tomorrow?

This photo was taken at WAVE POOL in Malaysia.

Yesterday afternoon, due to flooding, we took a detour and drove five hours from Kuantan to Kuala Lumpur. Taking a commemorative photo in the city. Cars and people ignore traffic lights, so it's scary to cross the road on foot. This is the view of Kuala Lumpur from the KL Tower, which is about 400 meters high. You can see the famous Twin Towers right there. This is what it looks like from below. And this morning, I took some photos at WAVE POOL in Malaysia. The board I rode was a LOST 5'5" Rocket. This is the bottom of this WAVE POOL. The offshore area is made of concrete, which changes to tiles halfway through and finally turns to sand. Normally, they rent out soft longboards and people line up to surf in order. Kailua, a member of the royal family who was supporting our tour, gave us the board to ourselves for about two hours. This is my fifth experience at WAVE POOL, following Palm Springs (California), Izu Nagaoka, Tobu Super Pool, and Wild Blue Yokohama. The waves were like this, each one slightly different, a Goofy break, but it seems that it takes time to set up, but it can also be adjusted to regular. Photographer Nakajima was busy taking pictures both underwater and from land. Professional surfer members Satoshi Sekino from Kamakura, Rikiya Kitada from Miyazaki, This is Takatsu Toshiyuki from Tokyo. And then there's Fukumitsu-san from Inamura, who planned this tour. It will be published in Surfing World. Please look forward to its release!

From Malaysia!

From Malaysia! I arrived safely in Malaysia. We are currently touring the Kuantan area with the tour members and local surfers as our guide. This is Cherating, a 5-minute walk from the hotel. This is a point break where you can ride great distances. There are also a few local surfers. Irene is an office worker living in Kuala Lumpur and is taking a long holiday in January to surf here. The only surf shop is called Satsk Surf Shop. Malaysia is said to be the kingdom of insects, with lots of insects, large plants, and even snakes. Here we are enjoying a Malaysian meal of fish, chicken and vegetables, all shared. This is a point break that was created by chance in a man-made mine. There are also Goofy points like this. The beach is deserted and there are plenty of waves breaking that are perfect for surfing. This is Blake from CHERATING. I have a 5-fin Uber Fish and a 4-fin Quadlow. They're working great! Local boss Kailua showing us some photos of some great waves in Malaysia. There is also this small pier. It's the rainy season now, and the rain comes and goes, but the water temperature is like leftover bath water. The best season is said to be between December and March, so why not escape the cold of Japan and take a surf trip to Malaysia? The ocean will be empty!

This is the last time we say goodbye to Lost Warehouse.

The waves are big today, so I'm using my recent favorite RATIO fins. This is Mayhem, who has switched from quad to star. A wide variety of colorful fins were used in today's session. By bicycle, we headed to a trestle area called Middles. Changing clothes on the beach is California style. For some reason, my favorite is Mayhem Finn with the sushi graphic. Toku works hard on the filming. The waves are huge. Mayhem explaining about elevator wings. The waves were getting a little better in the evening. This is the view from the Mayhem family area.
