The BEACH BUGGY, which inherits the genes of Andy's favorite WHIPLASH model, is a high-performance board for small to medium rough waves!
We would like to give our blog readers an advance look at "BEACH BUGGY," which will soon be posted on our website. ■ LOST 『BEACH BUGGY by TAJI』 *A high performance board for small to medium rough waves that floats and moves forward even on rough waters! This rough beach break model, developed in collaboration with MAYHEM and TAJI Barrow, was developed and designed for surfing rough, choppy waters without stalling. It's based on the WHIPLASH+TB. The nose and tail of the WHIPLASH+TB are wider, while the outline is thicker and the rocker is lowered. The rails are also slightly more voluminous than the WHIPLASH+TB. While the squash tail may appear wide at first glance, the narrower tail block allows for quicker response to sudden changes in the waves. For competitive use, a gentle bump is positioned near the back stance for increased control, allowing for acceleration when you press the tail. The long, deep single concave ensures the board stays afloat and smoothly propels itself across the water. It's designed to respond quickly and swiftly to even the most aggressive, unsettled style of surfers like TAJI Barrow. The board design inherits the genes of Andy's favorite WHIPLASH model, and is more versatile and versatile than the WHIPLASH-TB model, which evolved as a collaboration between Daji Burrow and Mayhem, allowing for a wider range of bad waves and high-performance surfing. 5'7" x 18 3/8" x 2 1/16" (170 x 46.7 x 5.25 cm) 50~58kg 22.4cl 5'8" x 18 1/2" x 2 1/8" (173 x 47.0 x 5.4 cm) 55-63kg 23.6cl 5'8" x 18 1/2" x 2 3/16" (173 x 47.0 x 5.55 cm) 60~68kg 24.1cl 5'9" x 18 5/8" x 2 3/16" (175 x 47.3 x 5.55 cm) 62~70kg 24.6cl 5'9" x 18 5/8" x 2 1/4" (175 x 47.3 x 5.7 cm) 65-75kg 25.3cl 5'10" x 18 3/4" x 2 1/4" (178 x 47.6 x 5.7 cm) 65-75kg 25.9cl 5'11" x 18 7/8" x 2 5/16" (180 x 47.9 x 5.85 cm) 70~78kg 27.1cl 5'11" x 18 7/8" x 2 3/8" (180 x 47.9 x 6.0 cm) 75~83kg 27.9cl ■Price POLYESTER ¥125,000 (excluding tax) / ¥131,250 (including tax) POLYESTER Carbon Tail Patch ¥130,000 (excluding tax) / ¥136,500 (including tax) XTR V-FLEX ¥165,000 (unit) / ¥173,250 (tax included) C3 (CORK-CARBON-COMPOSITE) ¥170,000 (excluding tax) / ¥178,500 (excluding tax) XTR 3D CARBOLIC ¥175,000 (excluding tax) / ¥183,750 (excluding tax) Includes three FCS Green Flex fins Photo by Hayato Masuda. Learn moreComing soon to Japan for the first time! Kolohe Andino on the new 2013 model, the SUB-SCORCHER 2!
Luvsurf will soon be coming to Japan for the first time! The first shipment of stockboards will arrive. Ride the new 2013 Lost model "SUB-SCORCHER 2" Kolohe Andino's riding video is now available! This is one of this year's attractive models, developed with Julian taking it for a test ride. This model has a good design, so Mayhem says it takes off easily and stands up before the first turn. It seems that you can easily get the speed to air and lip action even in small waves. It's true that at a surfboard like Kolohe, you can take off and ride even small waves without paddling. This model is designed for small waves, inheriting the characteristics of the previous model. It is suitable for those who want to ride small waves. On the flat section of Kolohe, the board is moved up and down in small increments. Why not try riding it by learning how to pick up speed? Now let's take a look at Kolohe's riding. Learn more"WARd5" is a fin set that we highly recommend you try with five fins.
AUROLA "WARd5" fins will be released. This is a 5-fin set that is compatible with each of the popular Placebo models. A good-looking color design that matches the Placebo FLEXLITE-TURBO board body. Strong black carbon, beautiful flowing white color design, flexible and lightweight large core, Finished with the new AUROLA mark. A flowing white line printed in the center of the fin, The black carbon matches perfectly with the carbon mounted on the bottom side of the FLEXLITE-TURBO. The stabilizer fin that is attached to the center when riding with five fins has a long base that is 122mm long. This stabilizer fin has one leg, so it can be attached either in front or behind the FCS plug. In front, it's loose, With just the position of this stabilizer fin, you can enjoy two different functions: holding at the rear and driving at the same time. The rear fin for the quad setting is a 50/50 center fin foil. It is smaller than the front fin, It can also be installed in the center fin position as shown in this photo, so you can ride it with three fins. The design and color look natural even when attached to a resin tint color board. This is the beautiful fin design and color that resulted. This is a fin set that we highly recommend you try with 5 fins. When you ride with this setting, you can enjoy the fun, loose rotation that spins around. This setting is surprisingly fun to ride! Give it a try! I stacked two fins, one front and one rear. The rear fins are smaller, with a difference of this size. I lined up three fins. This is a fin combination that makes it easy to imagine driving a quad, let alone a five-fin. This is what it looks like when all five fins are lined up. AUROLA "WARd5" fins How about adding this to your 5-fin board? Try these fins to change the characteristics of your board and have fun surfing. The price of the AUROLA 'WARd5' fin is 17,000 yen (excluding tax). Learn moreThe WARd3 is a fin that releases better than the G-5 and holds better than the G-3.
The milky white fin below is the "G-5" The black fin in the middle is the "G-3" The black fin above is the "G-1000" "WARd3" is not shown here, but here is a photo comparing the sizes of the three most well-known types of fins in the world. In this photo, it is difficult to tell because the overlapping fins are almost the same size. The ``WARd3'' front fin is stacked with the ``G-5'' fin. The front fin of the WARd3 is almost exactly the same size as the G-5. This photo shows the WARd3 Center Fin and the G-1000 stacked together for comparison. The same applies below. From another side, you can see that the WARd3 center fin is longer and taller. The center fin of the WARd3 is narrow, so It is easier to release than the tri-fin setting of the "G-5", This fin has better holding power than the G-3 and has performance between the G-5 and G-3. Strong black carbon, beautiful flowing white color design, flexible and lightweight large core, Finished with AUROLA's new blue mark. Surfboards equipped with WARd3 are much lighter than the FCS composite fins or green flex fins that come with the board when you purchase it, making the board move quicker. The carbon fiber fins firmly secure the base of the fin, while the top flexes smoothly, allowing you to accelerate your turns. The price of the WARd3 is 12,600 yen, and it will be available in stores from tomorrow, the 29th (Tuesday).
Learn moreTwo-time WCT winner Taj Burrow's secret liquid "Nano Tune" revealed!
The secret of Taj Burrow, who won two WCT titles, "Nano Tune" revealed! The board that won the Gold Coast competition also had a small logo sticker under GLOBE. "Nano Tune" is a magical liquid that you can apply to the bottom to repel seawater and prevent loss of speed. Two clear bottles stuck together, facing the photo. Nanotune is applied to the inside of the right side. The left side is without nanotune. When you shake the two bottles, notice how the red liquid inside repels the inside of the bottles differently. We will let you know when "Nano Tune" will be available for purchase as soon as it arrives, so please stay tuned! For those who can tell the difference, the best combination would be "Nano Tune" on the bottom and "FU WAX" on the deck.

San Clemente Tetrasulus growing in size Today I'm using the ``DRIVER'' model to match the waves. It has been sunny and warm every day. It was early Tuesday morning after a three-day weekend, so UPPERS was empty. After cycling and walking along the beach, we arrived at UPPERS in about 15 to 20 minutes. We had cameraman Masuda shoot a video on the long wall waves. The "DRIVER" model is semi-dry, and can be worn even when your body is heavy and equipped with boots and gloves. This is a high-performance model with a high CL value and buoyancy that makes paddling easy. This is an easy-to-ride model, so please give it a try if you find it difficult to take off in the winter, or if you have gained weight and are not confident enough to ride a thin, high-performance model. In the afternoon, I went to Costa Mesa for a meeting. This is a meeting with Paulo from FUWAX USA to discuss how to start selling FUWAX in Japan on a full scale. Each piece is carefully poured into a mold, solidified, and then removed and packaged. 100% handmade in Brazil. They have been researching and developing SURFWAX since 1967, and we heard about the process of how FUWAX became the high-performance wax that Kelly and other WCT riders use. Afterwards, we went to LOST SURFBOARD to check out the surfboards that will be sent to Luvsurf this week. Only a few of the new 2013 model "SUB-SCORCHER2" have been completed! The standard tail shape is a double bump wing and super swallow tail. The bottom rocker curve is less than other high performance models but is not flat. The double bump wing design narrows the tail, Kolohe says this is already his favorite model for small wave beach breaks. Today at UPPERS I was enviously watching the Mayhem family's gardener riding it right away, and he looked to be in good condition, running well and picking up speed and surfing.
Learn moreThis is the LOST/MAYAHEM 5'8" BEACH BUGGY that I've been test riding.
The waves at Salt Creek seem to be bigger than yesterday and are good. From Salt Creek, head south on PCH. The Southside Pier in San Clemente also has some good waves. T-STREET was also larger than yesterday. This is Riviera Beach Break. The waves here were smaller. I decided to surf on the largest size of the Trestle. The board continues to be test-ridden, LOST / MAYAHEM 5'8" BEACH BUGGY. This model is designed for bad waves, but of course it can also drive and turn in good waves. The single concave is deep and the board doesn't sink, so the top turn is light and easy. This is a new and recommended model for 2013 that runs well and is fast. Stock boards will be arriving from March, so stay tuned!
Learn moreThe "COUCH POTATO" model is also a model that can be ridden from the swell before it breaks.
The waves were tiny again today, so we went to Oceanside. Very small wave conditions perfect for the 5'2" COUCH POTATO model. It's short but has a fast takeoff. This model is truly one that can be ridden from the swell before it breaks. This photo is proof of that. The surfers at the back of the peak were frustrated that they couldn't catch a wave, Nishii starts sliding with ease and is slowly trying to stand up. It runs well in small waves with little power, This is a model that you'll want to ride in Japanese wave conditions like this, where you can make loose and hard turns even in flat waves. When I went to LOST Surfboards, Joe Alani, who produced the DVD Word Story, was there. He was very happy to receive the Transworld Surf magazine award and is currently working on a new LOST TV series. Nishii's personal board was finished. It was a 5'10" WHIPLASH-TB model. Taji's own "WHIPLASH-TB" model, also 5'10", was also completed, so we put them side by side for a commemorative photo. The popular "ORCA" model has been so popular since its release that production is unable to keep up with demand for all sizes, and a clear board made with POLYESTER has also been completed. The photo shows today's sunset at San Clemente Pier. The waves are expected to get a little bigger starting tomorrow.
