The session lasted from early evening when the onshore winds stopped until dusk. Matt King, 34, chose a PLACEBO
TITAN and a
LAYZ-POTATO and took them down to the beach.
The waves were soft due to the wind swell after the onshore wind had stopped.

After looking at the waves, I chose the
LAYZ-POTATO Flexlite-Boost.
The
LAYZ-POTATO has a rounder nose than the
CQ EL-DIABLO, and its takeoff performance is just as fast. Its width and outline are narrower than the
GOBLIN , so it can perform drive turns.

SUPER-DIABLO BlackDart.

Nishii's
"SUPER-DIABLO" BlackDart,

The inside of Kinger's
``LAYZ-POTATO'' Flexlite-Boost board is also made of *EPS foam*.

This is a comparison of the buoyancy of POLY foam board and EPS foam board.
Even with the same volume (CL value), the EPS foam board feels more buoyant.
This is because it contains a higher percentage of air than POLY foam.

Imagine comparing it with a round sphere (ball) of the same size.
"Bowling ball" and "Inflatable beach ball"
Even if the size is the same (volume = CL value), the amount of air contained will affect the buoyancy.
The EPS foam board takes advantage of its strong buoyancy, allowing for fast paddling and light riding.

Another important thing is the soft flex performance, which allows you to gain speed even in weak waves.

EPS foam boards can be made lightweight, so they move easily and are great to ride on!
PLACEBO's "FLEXLITE-BOOST" and "FLEXLITE-CANDY" are EPS foam boards.
At LOST, the EPS foam boards that fall into this category are "CARBON WRAP" and "BLACK DRAT."

If you haven't tried EPS yet, be sure to check out the amazing EPS foam board!
