This may come as a surprise, but Nishii arrived at CALIFORNIA last night. This is the first California report in a while. It's LOWERS. The waves are nice. They're about head-high. When we got down to the beach, the waves were breaking like this. This is one of the world's leading point breaks, breaking regularly to the right and left. In this car world, the waves are like a test course. LOST and PLACEBO surfboards are being test ridden. Yamane and Asaka from Domestic Trade who came from Japan I took him to surf at LOWERS, where the waves are great. In the sea there is "SHANE B" and Kolohe's dad, Dino Andino, catches a great set of waves I was riding a lot, but what was even better was, KOLOHE was practicing before the match in Tahiti. As expected, active WCT players are really quick in their movements. I will be meeting with MAYHEM tomorrow and will report back on how it goes! Stay tuned!

At LOWER in San Clemente, The final contest is being held, with strong competitors from all over the United States competing. The one-year circuit will be divided into areas and contests will be held. This is open only to the top athletes in each age group. Judges for this contest Luvsurf USA staff member SHAW was surfing early in the morning before the start of the tournament. Riding the LOST "SHORT ROUND II" model, He dominated the surfing so well that he could have won a contest. This is an LED display that shows the order of priority. It is held in four-person heats. I got a new weapon called V2-GRAINDER. "KEI" will also be competing in the finals. It will be released on Friday, USA time. In the early morning, I surfed at the contest venue, LOWER. I tried out the new BEAN BAG model for small waves. It is thick for small waves, It's short, flat and round. Fins are KA size M on the front, I rode it with a CARVER M size rear. My first impression after riding about 25 waist-high waves was, The initial speed is amazing. Even before standing up on a small wave and putting in the rail. It picks up speed. It's in good condition, so I'll ride it a bit more.

It is located in Daikanyama, Tokyo. Participation is free. Apparently the wonderful prizes that visitors will be able to win may be erotic! Only the first 60 people who make a reservation to attend can win, so your chances of winning are very high! If you want to visit Eastern Taiwan, please make a reservation! On the 29th, when this event will be held, Nishii and Masato were both in California and couldn't attend, so they went to the event venue to film a video to show visitors the waves, food, and scenery of eastern Taiwan. Namiaru, people from a travel agency, and Surf Trip Journal magazine came to visit us. The couple in this photo are Mr. Ahu and his wife Jennifer, the owners of 5 Surf, where Nishii and Masato stayed in eastern Taiwan. They are currently in Japan on their honeymoon and will be participating in the event. The two of them came to Love Surf today with the film crew.
