We met with Mayhem and are pleased to announce that new models will be added and arriving in stock in 2014! To find out what models and sizes are available, please wait until the Interstyle Show in February. In 2013, we only had one of each size in stock, so some models sold out immediately. Learn moreWe recommend the AUROLA "Smallish" fins for wide 5-fin boards!
The San Clemente area is filled with small waves. The photo is of T-STREET, where I was taking photos this morning. Even though they are small waves, they are still knee-high and can be surfed. Until 9am, it is the time for students from each school's surf club. After that, it's surf time for adults. Anyway, LOST/MAYHEM boards are so popular that there aren't as many other brands as there used to be. Of course, Placebo is also popular here in San Clemente. You can see the NECK TANS sticker on it. This person is also from MAYHEM. The LOST logo is hidden by his body. No matter where you look, you'll see LOST Mayhem boards everywhere. This is SHAW. I took some photos today as I was surfing on the "SHORT ROUND" model. Apparently he likes this "SHORT ROUND" board and has been riding it for quite a long time, so it was damaged. Apparently he's going to order the same new board. Nishii also test rode the "SHORT ROUND" model at the Upper Trassels in Koana. The waves are small, but you can ride them for long distances, making it the perfect condition for testing the "SHORT ROUND" model. Today I tried out a 5-fin setup by adding AUROLA's "SMALLISH" fins. It's better to wear this even in small waves. The looseness of the QUAD remains almost the same, but the drive increases. For the "SHORT ROUND" we recommend using a small fin in the center. If you are riding a wide 5-fin board with only QUAD, you can use this one in the center. AUROLA "SMALLISH" FIN Just adding this will improve the driving performance you can feel, so please give it a try. Posted by Luvsurf .
Learn moreI rode Nishii's personal board "SHORT ROUND"!
I rode Nishii's personal board, "SHORT ROUND." It's an interesting outline that gets you excited even before you get on. I used the AUROLA WARd 5 fins in a QUAD set. This WARD 5 fin is small, but including the QUAD rear fin, Since it is longer at the back, it is a fin that drives more than the height of the fin. Wide but pointed nose design, If you look at just the tail, you can see that it's a wide squash tail from a performance board. I carefully applied a base coat of FU WAX. Unlike other waxes, FU's base can be applied in small particles. One FU base wax is economical as it can be used for about 5 to 6 shortboards. The water temperature is cool for a semi-dry full suit without boots, so it's cool for a top coat. It was a perfect test wave for a waist-chest sized, long shouldered, open-faced wave. Nishii's personal board "SHORT ROUND" is a little similar to SHAW's SHORT ROUND model. Mayhem changed the design to balance the thickness and make it more suitable for older men. SHAW boards have thinner rails, which makes them faster, so the production version has thinner rails. The rail shape seems better. This model is designed for those who prioritize athletic performance. This is a mini board model for those who want to do high-performance surfing, so it's better to have agility in your movements. It's a position similar to the previous ROCKET model. It seems like it would be better if the width was a little more appropriate so that it wouldn't stall. I'll do some more test rides. Now onto the evening T-STRET session. Nate was surfing and he hit a few sets of waves. As you'd expect from a former WCT surfer. All the skilled surfers coming out of the ocean are on LOST MAYHEM. I filmed SHAW riding until the wind died down and the sun went down. For the past few months, SHAW has only been on "SHORT ROUND," including matches. I love this model and am riding it. Please wait a little longer until it is released! Posted by Luvsurf .
Learn moreIntroducing Nishii's personal board, the new LOST model "SHORT ROUND"!
The new LOST Japan-exclusive "SHORT ROUND" model that we revealed in this blog yesterday seems to suit the needs of some people, and we have already received inquiries about sizes! And today, Nishii's personal board has been completed, so I would like to introduce it to you. Size: 5'2" 19" 2.30" 25.6 CL We compared it with COUCH POTATO, which is the product it is most likely to be compared to. The board sizes are different, but here is a comparison of the outlines. The nose of the "SHORT ROUND" model on the left is clearly more pointed. The tail shape is a wide squash tail, similar to the SUB-DRIVER-JP squash tail. The design is derived from a high-performance model and feels slightly wider. Put some traction and stickers on it, The fins are WARd 5 in a quad setting and are ready to ride right away. I'll give it a try tomorrow! Look forward to tomorrow's impression report! Posted by Luvsurf .
Learn moreThe new LOST Japan-exclusive model test ride is unveiled for the first time. It's called "Short Round"!
We shot a riding video for the new LOST Japan-exclusive model on T-STREET. MAYHEM names the model "Short Round" as a special small wave board for the SHAW contest. This is a competition board shaped and designed by SHAW, who has won two consecutive NSSA men's classes. The fins are FCSII 5-fin specifications, and SHAW always surfs with 5 fins. The board is 5'0" long. The photos up to this point were taken with a wide lens, so it's hard to see the outline of the board, but Simply put, it is a short, round board. It may look similar to the COUCH POTATO or LAYZ POTATO, but It has a pointed nose and a different squash shape to the tail. I think this photo makes it easier to imagine. The super deep single axel concave at the tail end of the bottom generates incredible speed in small waves. According to SHAW, if you attach the AUROLA REY fins you can ride overhead. It can be ridden as short as a COUCH POTATO, allowing for the movements of a shortboard suitable for competitions. This is a new mini board design from MAYHEM, joining the lineup as a new Japan-exclusive model for 2014. Nishii has also ridden this board and feels that it is quick, sharp, and allows for fast and crisp movements. Nishii recorded SHAW's surfing on video this time, so please look forward to its release! We will continue to release information about the "Short Round" model, so please look forward to it! Posted by Luvsurf .
Learn moreThe reason we recommend the ANCHOR wetsuit is because it has Anchor Care!
Two of Nishii's "ANCHOR" wetsuits for this winter have been completed. The two models that are equally popular are "HAGOROMO" and "ATOMIK". For "ATOMIK," we chose a simple all-black color scheme. The only difference in the 2014 model is the color of the "A" in the mark. Of course, you can still use the same color marks as before. The "HAGOROMO" model is a purple color combination, I tried to combine dark and light colors. Our staff member Kabashima's "ANCHOR" wetsuit is also finished. The model I chose was the all 3mm "HAGOROMO" model. The colors to choose from are black and navy. Why Luvsurf recommends the ANCHOR wetsuit? High-performance wetsuits in the same price range are not available from other manufacturers. This is because it comes with Anchor's highly popular proprietary "ANCHOR Care." You can also use Care online with free round-trip shipping. "ANCHOR CARE" What is Anchor Care? When the weather warms up and you no longer need this full suit, try our Anchor Care maintenance-free system. We offer free inspection and repair of loose cuts, loose stitching, and peeling markings, ensuring your suit remains in the same condition as when you first purchased it, so you can wear it comfortably again next season. If you're busy or live far away and can't visit us, please send it to us via Sagawa Express, postage paid by the customer. *This can only be done once within six months of purchase. (A fee will be charged for fabric replacement.) The "ANCHOR" wetsuit is being produced by Toshi's Marine Project, the same company that produces the Cyber Wetsuit, and for a limited time, they are offering an express finishing service where orders placed by January 12th will be completed in just one week from the order date! I really want a new WET, but is it too late to order one now? If you're thinking this way, please reconsider. You can wear it right away! http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/goods/anchor.html For more information on each model and price, please click here.
